Such a lovely centre with very attentive staff, especially a swimming teacher you have Named Olivia Greaves. She’s really great with the kids!, my daughter is always excited about her lessons with Olivia, she’s also progressed so much in her swimming since being coached by Olivia. Overall a great place!

I attended the Healthwise program with Sarah on a Monday evening and it has been a complete lifesaver/changer for me! Everything was really well explained, the gym classes were excellent and I continued to pursue my healthy lifestyle because of this. Thank you so much for turning my life around.

Great place to work out!
I love working out at the Greenwich Centre. The staff are always helpful:
Amber and Sarunas - are a vibe and are always encouraging. They are always quick to big up everyone’s gains. So helpful.
Annie, Katie, and Lee - These guys run great classes. They make exercise fun.
The membership is worth it. The gym is well equipped and the swimming pool is clean.

I have to say the staff are amazing here! Lewis and the team ensure everything is ready and are professional and attentive at all times! Really amazing team and they make everybody feel welcome and are always on hand to assist anybody. I am disabled and cannot say how helpful they are! Great people!

The equipment and pools are just right - as are th changing rooms. The staff are always knowledgeable amd friendly. The machines are excellent.

GYM and classes
I am new in the gym like a month and so far I have not seen 1 trainer on the floor to answer questions. Classes are few a day so all full. they need more staff.

Our staff aren't always available to assist customers for questions/assistance in relation to exercises, however, you can book in for an induction with a fitness instructor, who can build a personalised fitness plan for you and show you any machines/equipment you may be unaware of.

Disabled toilets never cleaned
Disabled toilets never cleaned. Filthy lt shows how much they value their disabled customers. Wanna puke. Almost every time I go to use them I’m thinking of joining another gym just to get clean facilities especially toilets which seems ridiculous to travel further and pay more just for that but in the meantime going to keep updating this and report on the toilets to see if there is any actual improvement other than just words. But I’m never using the disabled toilets again. I think it must be their staff using it for their number twos because I’m sure disabled people don’t leave it like that for each other and you need a radar key to get in unless you’re staff
UPDATES:
I visited on 3rd May 24 - obviously, I’m not using the disabled toilets anymore. It was quite literally full of poop and stank last time and the several times before that that I was encouraged to use it even when I reported it so i’m not going to chance it yet again so I went in the ladies which was a bit cleaner, but no toilet paper this time.

I was signed on to a 12 week weight loss program. The instructor Sarah was excellent. She made us feel very welcome. In my opinion, she is a credit to the Organisation. She comes highly recommended.

GLL a great place to teach Yoga!
I am a certified Sivananda Yoga Acharya, and I have been teaching traditional Hatha Yoga for more than four years at GLL Better UK leisure centres in Royal Borough Greenwich. All four centres where I teach are well-equipped, and the staff and customers are amiable. I recommend GLL as a nonprofit community organisation and their facilities.

Cancelled the lessons and kept taking payment
Cancelled the lessons for child swimming without us asking them to and despite this continued to take payment. Then did not allow our child to go swimming when we turned up for their lesson.
Appear unwilling to refund. Not providing a service paid for when it is the fault of the provider is not good business practice.

Great, helpful staff - shout out to Sarah
I have been going to this gym for 6 months and really enjoy the classes and have found all the instructors really friendly. Last Thursday there was a scheduling mix up that left a group of us waiting for a circuits class with no instructor available. One of the PTs on the gym floor, Sarah, noticed this and gave up her evening when she had already finished work to set up a circuit and ran the class with enthusiasm. Big thank you to Sarah because that made my evening!

Disappointing
I signed up specifically for fitness classes but classes are full quickly and even with the waitlist it's impossible to get on some classes (for example Power Pump), which makes the choice of classes very small.
The 4 hour cancellation policy is harsher than in most gyms, if I book a class in the evening and have a train issue after work, I won't know 4 hours in advance that I cannot make it to the class.
The equipment is quite old (the Group Cycle bikes could be updated).

As a member you have access to 7 days advance booking and non-members have 5 days advance booking.
The penalty fee system is there to discourage customers from booking and then cancelling last minute or not turning up at all which then stops other customers from booking.
