The ladies changing rooms are disgusting!
The ladies changing rooms are disgusting! Dirty, smelly, flys & over flowing bins with rubbish and dirty nappies. The toilets are not always much better.
The gym air con isn’t always cold enough.

Too many pieces of exercise equipment…
Too many pieces of exercise equipment aren't working for too long. You a far from a cheap option (only charitable in your own pay and conditions maybe) and you should be making far faster repairs. Also the air con was off, that is so not ok. I stopped my exercise early and walked outside instead.

Never going here again
The staff were extremely rude (the Woolwich one) and they forced us to do a test because I have two other siblings and one of them cried because they got forced to do it in the deep pool and their customer service was so bad that we had to shout because they were being so rude. Hope this helps.

A Fantastic Start with Better!
My first experience at Better was amazing, starting from the reception. The customer service was excellent and made a great first impression. The gym equipment is user-friendly, and all the swimming instructors are person-centered and supportive.

Swimming lessons keep on getting cancelked
Swimming lessons at Waterfront Woolwich keep on getting cancelled, with less than an hour's notice. Process for getting a refund painful - they should just automatically refund as the lesson is not taking place. This is a common occurrence over years, as they always seem to have trouble keeping their swimming teachers; the only thing they have changed is the refund process! Crowded lessons too once the summer starts. I don't recommend it.

We are very sorry to hear about the cancellations of the swimming lessons at the Waterfront Leisure Centre and appreciate your feedback regarding the refund process.
We understand that last-minute cancellations can be frustrating, especially when it's due to unforeseen circumstances like staff illness. Please know that we do our best to avoid these situations, but sometimes it's just unavoidable.
If a lesson is cancelled an email is sent with the option to request a refund or select an alternative lesson, this is is quickest way for members to request either option.
We have also passed on your feedback to the General Manager and Swim Lead at the centre to look into and I hope this will assist in improving the experience for all swimming lesson attendees.

Most of the equipment is broken. It's disappointing. And if it's not broken these mising parts or it's torn and damaged. It's not worth my money

New Joiner Experience
Hi, I think the gym overall is great and I’ve enjoyed my time here. However, I’ve noticed that the range of functional cardio equipment is quite limited, especially considering how busy Woolwich Waterfront Leisure Centre gets. Many treadmills are out of order, and there are only two stair masters—both of which often have long wait times. While there are cycles and ellipticals, some of those are also not working, and most members seem to prefer treadmills and stair masters.
It might be worth removing broken machines to free up space and possibly replacing them with more popular options like additional stair masters. I’ve seen quite a few new members leave disappointed due to the wait times. Just some feedback to help improve the experience—thanks for all your efforts!
