I don’t usually write reviews, but I had such a great experience that I had to share. From start to finish, everything was smooth, easy, and honestly way better than I expected.

Everyone was super friendly and helpful, specially Maria and Kristy also the whole onboarding team! and it really felt like they cared about my business. You don’t always get that kind of attention these days, so it definitely stood out.

Most of the time once I signed up to a contract the level of service has always dropped and with Bibby I have been for over a year now and I think the service is even better. I would definitely recommend Bibby to any business!!

I worked with Bibby Financial Services for invoice factoring to help manage cash flow for around eight months. While the facility itself worked, I was left feeling disappointed by how things were handled when I tried to exit the agreement.

Despite being told there was only a 28-day notice period and no long-term contract, Bibby tried to apply a significant termination fee of over £3,000. This felt completely unfair, especially after I had already paid over £6,900 in fees. On top of the standard factoring charges, there were additional costs like refactoring charges, minimum service fees, VAT, and same-day payment fees. The same-day fee is applied by default whenever withdrawing funds, making it an easy mistake to miss, and no refund was given when I raised this.

In total, I put through around £90,000 of invoices, and I ended up paying over 11% of that in fees — far higher than the 3.8% I was told to expect.

It took a lot of back and forth to get this sorted, which added stress I could have done without. In the end, they agreed to waive the termination fee, but overall, the process left me feeling frustrated, and I’m not sure I’d recommend them based on my experience.

Tread with caution - they're a great company when things are going well, and they get their piece of the pie! However, when things turn south - BFS will make your life HELL!

We were forced to engage with their recomended IP since October 2024, payable by us, by of course, and then to re-engage with the same IP earlier this year.

It was agreed the company would cease to trade by all parties (us, IP and BFS) albeit the plan changed when word spread through projects.

However, we never expected BFS and the IP to change their view and decide that they will not support the IP, and leave it to us to handle collections, appoint an IP and everything else, all the while confirming no payments to be made to us from the facility.

To make matters worse, the sharks that they are, have hit us with an additional £53,000 in fees without substantiation.

Avoid this funder at all costs, they are only there to help when things are good, then take their peice of the pie when things are bad.

I have found Bibby professional and efficient. Communication is good and the facility has achieved what I wanted from it

Bibby have incredible service, we are a small company looking for help with cash flow, all members of the team which were involved in the set up were fanatic. The ongoing service is also brilliant.

Having spent months working with one finance broker who just didn’t ever seem to be able to come up with the goods, I spoke with a recommended broker who at very short notice managed to work with Bibby to help out with the acquisition I was working on.

I worked with Ian Hayes and James Hamill, who both worked extremely quickly to obtain an offer that worked for me and the acquisition. They were responsive, helpful, and very communicative, to ensure everything ran smoothly.
Everyone always said funding is the part that takes the longest in an acquisition, but for me, that couldn’t have been more wrong following working with Ian and James.
