ABHORRENT, DISGUSTING!!!
ABHORRENT, ABYSMAL!!! Bought a car 6:30pm last night. Door skin came off on drive home along with door handle. USB, 12v socket do not work when tested this morning. Further checks this morning the under tray is loose. Trim removal tool wedged in bumper grill! A pillar cowl is loose! Previous buyer (yes, looks like it’s been returned at least once before) details left on documents in the car GDPR!!! Inflation kit out of date. So how did it pass the RAC check!? Not valeted or charged as agreed at pick up. Salesman vaping in the car at pick up! Called this morning 9am and told to claim on warranty - this is NOT a warranty issue. This is a sale of goods issue. Take some responsibility! Will be complaining to RAC re:standards. Will be raising with OMBUDSMAN. None of the people sales/after sale people I’ve spoken. Know anything about consumer duty or at the very least have shown any empathy - to the point of coming across as smug about it!!! How are they able to sell if they are not compliant?! Will be escalating!!!

Fradulant, unethical, please stay away!!!!!
I am writing this review because my experience buying a car here was incredibly poor, and I want to warn others to stay clear. From the initial sale to collecting the vehicle, the entire process was deeply concerning.
During the test drive, I pointed out that the car required a full service as indicated on the screen, and that three of the four tyres had warning lights on. I was assured these issues would be resolved. However, upon collection, the handover was rushed—I was simply given the keys, with no walk-around of the vehicle. When I got inside, the tyre warning lights were still on, and the service indicator had simply been reprogrammed to show as "complete" without the actual work being performed.
I had the car inspected by a third party, who confirmed that no actual service had been carried out; the filters were old, and the fluids had not been checked. When I challenged the dealership about this, they apologised and admitted they had issues with their technician, suggesting the car was just reprogrammed without any work being done. I wrote an email and asked for it to be sent to the dealer principal, you would have thought he would have called me to apologise, right... No
This lack of safety checks and unlawful actions is completely unacceptable. There are many other reputable dealerships out there—please, do yourself a favour and stay clear of this one.

Avoid avoid avoid. Save your sanity and your wallet
Found a car online and went to view at Peterborough. Was met by a salesman Nice polite chap who then took us for a test drive. All seemed ok but upon return to the site an amber warning light activated on the dash.
We were then told by a manager let’s call
Him employee 1 that we can pay our deposit and they will fix the problem (something to do with the telematics) hopefully within a few days. This was Friday. Employee 1 assured us, in fact promised us that if the fault could not be fixed within a few days that he would see to it that our refund was instantly refunded back to our account "at the touch of a button" this was very important as we only had a few days to purchase a car. Employee 1 lied, this is not possible as per their policy!
We got a call on Monday to say that it would not be ready for " a few days" i said i would call back after speaking to my husband.
Getting through to Peterborough is like trying to find a snowflake in July!
Eventually after being on hold for 30 minutes each time and getting cut off at the 30 minute mark each time automatically, we finally got through to Employee 2 in accounting. The music on their telephone system still rings in my ears several days later!
Employee 2 assured us he would process the refund and call us straight back. Employee 2 Lied. He did not call nor process our refund. That was at 10am Friday.
By 3pm Friday we got in my husbands car and drove the 1.5 hour trip to Peterborough to get our refund.
We were met by Employee 3, who assured us he could process our refund straight away as it still hadn't been done. However, it will take 3-5 working days to arrive as per their policy to pay via bacs.
We then complained at how we had been lied to and poorly treated and how we wanted a direct number in case our refund did not arrive. He went away and came back with a card stating.. "this number will put you directly through to my office" Employee 3 lied!, it was the same generic number that we had been trying for almost a week.
So in short, the car was faulty, they lied not once not twice but 3 times and we had to drive a 3 hour round trip to get to speak to someone and get our money back!
Add to that the fact you get accosted at the entrance to hand over all your details and none of the vehicles even have a price displayed now, (you have to scan a QR code on your phone just to get a price) which means looking around now takes a whole lot longer and drains your battery as well as your spirit and will to live!
Honestly, do your wallet, sanity and blood pressure a favour and avoid this place.
UPDATE
As per your response to this review,
The information provided to me regarding refunds and timescales was not “unclear” as you put it. It was a blatant outright untruth told by a member of staff just to force the sale!

Up front company
All very friendly. Tried to sell quite a few add ons as expected but once you say no they’re not trying to persuade you aggressively. Found a problem with the vehicle and were totally up front and honest about it before they released it, would recommend them

Poor customer servic
I registered a fault with my vehicle on 26 April, and the entire experience from then until the repair was finally completed yesterday has been, without question, the worst after-sales service I have ever experienced.
After reporting the fault, I was instructed to take the car to a local garage for diagnosis at my own expense. I did so, paying £60, and promptly submitted the invoice. Unfortunately, the garage was unable to accurately diagnose the issue because the vehicle is a Volvo and required a specialist diagnostic assessment.
Rather than arranging this themselves, Big Motoring Company then asked me to source a suitable specialist garage. As I work full-time, this was both time-consuming and frustrating. All communication was conducted by email, with responses often taking several days. Attempting to call was no better, as I regularly faced queue times of 45 minutes or more, which is simply not practical during working hours.
Throughout the process I dealt with three or four different members of the after-sales team, meaning there was no continuity and I repeatedly had to explain the situation from the beginning. This made an already frustrating process even more difficult.
I eventually found a garage willing to work with Big Motoring Company. However, two Volvo specialists closer to my home refused to deal with the company because they had previously experienced significant delays in receiving payment. Unfortunately, this concern proved justified, as the garage carrying out my repair had to chase Big Motoring Company for payment on the very day the work was completed.
From the date I first reported the fault until the repair was finally resolved, the process took almost two months. While the fault has now been repaired, the customer service throughout was extremely poor.
In contrast, when I have purchased vehicles from main dealers in the past, the after-sales service has been efficient, responsive and customer-focused. My experience with Big Motoring Company was the complete opposite.
I would not recommend Big Motoring Company to anyone based on my experience. The lack of communication, poor coordination, slow response times, and the expectation that customers should organise key parts of the repair process themselves made what should have been a straightforward warranty claim unnecessarily stressful and frustrating. Would not reccommend

Good Team, Good Service.
I walked in without an appointment to check out a car I'd seen advertised. Reception was friendly and helpful. They hooked me up with Sales guy Keenan, who was also welcoming and went about arranging a test drive for me. The car was right for me, so I put money down. Next day I returned to do finance and pick up the car. All steps were painless and stress free. Very good professional crew to deal with. Recommended!

Loved working here
I loved working at Big Motoring World. I had friendly colleagues, loved my work and the benefits that came with it. The people I worked with made the experience that much better, BMW was and is my favourite work place.
HR, H&S team, management, First Aiders took such great care of me when it came to my chronic pain disorder - I've never had so much support in any other workplace. If it weren't for my own personal circumstances, I never would have left. I hope I can work at BMW again one day.

Great customer experience
After purchasing the vehicle had some issues with the charging port, after contacting the Big Motoring World company, they helped out and paid for the full cost of the repair. I could not be happier with them.

An absolute waste of time company, they trap you in a agreement and don't tell you things totally opposite. Never ever buy car from them we have experienced the worst and I will take this further to third parties

Don't buy a car from these people
Bought a car, I have had nothing but trouble with it. had to take it to their repair centre 3 times, finally fixed the fault on the 3rd visit but caused another fault while doing it. apparently they can't fix it as they don't have the correct equipment so they expect me to take it to Fords at my expense even though the car is still under warranty.
absolutely awful service and so far it has taken 4 months and still no closer to getting the problem sorted. avoid this company.

Beware - the advertised price isn't necessarily the price
Beware - the advertised price on websites (Cargurus) and emails direct from this company are not necessarily the price you end up paying - I would not trust this company.
Even though our appointment email confirmation clearly confirmed the price with no fees applicable, we still had to pay £300 more than the advertised price. The official explanation was price fluctuations can increase as well as decrease for second hand cars but the price increase represented exactly this company's hitherto admin fee of £300 that they supposedly now waive, so this felt very much like hidden fees that are now applied to the sale price. We had different stories from different members of staff but none of them were satisfactory or believable and they responded to our complaint initially by saying it was an admin fee but then reversing that and saying it was a market fluctuation up (even though the car had depreciated and sat with them for a month) and there were no fees added to the sale price.

After sales and warranty really let them down
Easy process and helpful in selling. Quite easy to get away from the upselling afterwards. Car had a fault which is proving hard to fix as you can't get in touch with them easily and then they refer you a very frustrating RAC backed process which is slow and unsure. After sales is very poor.
Thanks for the reply, the rac app has been used to book an appt to fix one problem, but the other issue which the RAC can't deal with still persists. I would like it if someone would contact me about that, as your reply here is the third promise someone will contact me.

Bought Nissan Xtrail EY20 on 1st of April from Big Motoring World Peterborough.
It was a really wonderful experience.
Car was exactly the same described on website. Showroom was amazing. People were very cooperative. Took me long to leave the review as was bit busy with some construction work at my home.
The lady who was dealing with our enquiry was so nice and gave us all the information and test drive and full attention so we can decide in our time.
Car was in a very good condition, just came with only 1 key which is understandable and the navigation card was also not there but overall we loved the car.
Thank you very much Big Motoring World.

Right
Right, here’s a review for you:
“I purchased a car from Big motoring World Peterborough on Monday, June 8th. Immediately upon collection, I discovered the air conditioning wasn’t working. The dealership identified a gas leak and promised to repair it within two days, asking me to return on Wednesday. Unfortunately, the car wasn’t ready, and I had no choice but to leave without it. Over the following days, I received minimal communication from their complaints department despite multiple calls and emails—they only assured me they’d logged my complaint and would get back to me. This caused significant inconvenience, particularly as I’d purchased fifty-five day driver insurance I couldn’t use. I eventually collected the car on Thursday at my own expense, travelling from London. Although I was assured the leak had been properly fixed and checks were completed, the AC stopped working again by Saturday. It appears the dealership simply refilled the gas rather than actually repairing the underlying leak. When I contacted customer support, I was told to contact the warranty team instead. I would strongly advise potential buyers to thoroughly inspect every aspect of any vehicle before purchase and be extremely cautious with this dealership, as resolving issues after purchase requires extensive hassle with emails!!! Absolutely unreliable company.

Bought a car from this firm and whilst…
Bought a car from this firm and whilst the buying process was fine, the after sales service was awful, I viewed and bought a car the same day and only issue was that they would send me the spare key which wasn’t on site.
A month later and I have been chasing incessantly. You cannot contact Peterborough directly to speak to them, you have to go through a calls centre who are varying degrees of helpful and who seemingly struggle to get information from this centre themselves. There is no clear escalation process, complaints amount to nothing and they do not respond in a timely fashion. This week I did finally have a helpful lady called Olivia who did communicate with me, for which I give credit to her, but honestly if you’re buying a car you can get from any dealership avoid this outfit- the hassle isn’t worth it and totally ruins the joy of buying a new car.
In response to your reply - my order number was 390579. There is nothing more infuriating than a firm that has terrible after sales service yet responds immediately to a poor Trustpilot review. It did not take a few weeks for the spare key to come it was over a month and no one responded to me - the communication is appalling. So no, I won’t be sending you further details to your awful generic inbox I just advise others who don’t like that kind of hassle to avoid your business at all costs.

Service good, quality poor
The car I reserved and viewed was in poor condition for a 4 year old car. The glove compartment didn't shut properly, the plastic shield over the dashboard control panel was cracked and there were chips in the paintwork that were down to the metal just inside the rear passenger door. I asked if all of these issues would be fixed and was told no.
On a plus, my deposit for reserving the car was refunded immediately
