Excellent service helpful and attentive staff, got the van ready for us as asked.

I had the absolute worse experience ever with this company back in April this year. I urge anyone who is looking to buy from them to reconsider. Not trust worthy at all!

I was looking for a new car as mine was slowly on its way out. I came across a Renault captur which was being sold by this company. As it was within my price range, I immediately called up to know more details. I had noticed that in the car description it mentioned that they were only looking to sell “business to business”. I questioned this to the sales advisor and wanted to understand what was meant by this. The advisor then went on to explain that they ideally would like to sell to a business, however they could sell to me “no problem” as I was interested. This originally did make me cautious, but hindsight is a magical thing eh…

When visiting the vehicle it looked all in order. We sat down and asked to see all past MOTs and history of the car, which again seemed all fine. The only thing that was mentioned to us by the sales advisor was that there was no warranty with the car. After debating for a while, we decided to go ahead with the purchase as we were in need of a new car quickly. I was worried at first about having no warranty with the car, however I never had one with my past car (and I had that for 7 years!).

Originally I was very impressed with my ‘big girl purchase’ and was excited to drive my new car. However… one whole week after the purchase, I had an array of warning lights show up on the dashboard. Naturally I panicked. After going to a local garage, I was told that the car has multiple faults that would cost me hundreds, if not thousands, of pounds to fix. This was clearly quite a shock to me as I thought they were a reputable company to purchase a car from. I was then advised to take the car back to them under the 30 day Consumer Rights Act. But unfortunately, Big Van World wanted nothing to do with the situation.

After multiple calls with citizens advice and many emails sent, I finally received a reply from Big Van World. In their reply they circled a small section of hidden writing from the receipt stating “sold for parts only”… Obviously I was very upset and angry by this news as it was not mentioned by the sales advisor at the time. At no point during any of our first conversations was I made aware about this vital piece of information. Even when looking through all the paperwork that needed to be signed, I do not remember seeing this due to it being hidden within an abundance of tiny writing.

Unfortunately, this meant that I had to deal with this c**k up on my own. I had no help or advice from anyone at Big Van World. I later found out that the car still had some sort of finance on it, preventing me from even selling the car via we buy any car…! After trying to contact Big Van World again, they eventually sent over a fresh HPI check.

Finally I was able to get rid of the car, but not without struggle! And £1000 less in my bank account…

I don’t ask for any reply or argument with this company, I would just like to make others aware of how untrustworthy and difficult they are to deal with. By not being transparent and open about what they were selling, it has taken me on a wild goose chase to rectify the situation. I think that the staff are unhelpful in every which way, and they should learn how to communicate with people better. I will most definitely learn from this situation, and meticulously pick apart any future paperwork that I sign.

For absolute certain, I will not be buying or even associating with this company again!

A couple of weeks ago on a Saturday late afternoon my daughter ask me to Call big van world about a new Yz125. For sale, I spoke with Torie as I wanted to part-ex her old bike on the new one and with in a short time not only did we do a deal, Mike and Torie arranged for the bike to be delivered t Cheddar moto park the following morning, and she was on track by 11. I arranged to buy a trade sale Vito van , assured that there were no faults with the vehicle. Travelled 200miles , van was outside the office with the engine running (id told them roughly what time id be arriving). Van seemed ok, paid for it and set off home. Immediately clouds of black smoke, and blue smoke. Took it straight back, salesman josh said it needed a regen, I said it likely needed a new turbo. Grudgingly agreed to refund that was paid several days later. Refused to recompense for wasted 400 mile round trip by train.
The van had been presumably been left running outside to burn off the oil in the faulty turbo in the exhaust.
The sign of a good company is how they deal with issues . And this one was dishonest and evasive.
Id never recommend anyone to buy a vehicle from them.

Fantastic service, Simon was excellent! Simple easy process, very welcoming and comfortable, always available to help and answer questions.

I first dealt with Big Van Mx World last year after Mike messaged me and he saw my bike on eBay and wanted it for stock. We agreed a price on the phone and he came and picked it up hassle free. Mike was very fair with he’s price and I was happy. In fact it was the best I had been offered. Yesterday, because Mike who I dealt with was a diamond, I approached him to do business again, and I took home this beauty. Again, I traded in two bikes this time, and gave me the best money I had been offered. These guys are so professional and to be honest, I can’t see me doing business with anyone else, it’s just effortless. The set up they have, the staff etc everything is just top notch. Torie helped me complete the deal and she was great as well. Their stock they have is pristine, all clean, well looked after bikes. Genuinely feel like I have built a relationship with this dealership Keep doing what you’re doing guys! See you on the next one!
