Big W Broom Storage Unit - Absolutely Useless
What a misleading purchase experience Big W was. I purchased a broom storage unit as it looked exactly like the one I purchased from Amazon ($59) a month ago. Arrived from Big W ($39) and was about a third the size of the Amazon product. My mistake, as I did not check the dimensions properly and assumed the item was the same size as the one I purchased from Amazon. I took the item out of the box and assembled it, after placing 4 brooms in it the item kept falling over, totally useless. Tried to return the item to Big W but they advised I had to return it to the distribution company, Lenoxx Group, who advised once the package has been opened you cannot return it. So basically, even if you haven’t used the product you can’t return it as it’s been opened. Very misleading as Big W does not advise that the product is coming from another distributor and that a complete set of different rules apply if you want to return you item. Consumer Affairs should be investigating practices like this, as it’s completely unacceptable.
Refusal to return incompatible product
I purchased a heater that turned out upon delivery to be incompatible with our other heaters of the same brand, and used a different app to control it. At the time of purchase there was no information in the product description to indicate it used a different system. Big W refused to allow a return of the product, updated the websites details and then claimed I had simply changed my mind.

Went to buy my wife some thongs for mother's day everything is bloody made in China I'm so disappointed regards Brian
Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service. I paid extra for same day delivery and they removed nearly all the requested products - didn’t bother calling me even though they could see I’m in hospital. Then no answer on the phone, a robot that won’t take complaints, no phone number listed for the stores and no way to make a written complaint.
Terrible delivery and costumer service
Big W does not take responsability for the delivery of the products they sell. I did not receive the products I bought and now I am having to call several numbers because the courier does not know where my package is and Big W saya they didn't sell it, it was their partners. Even though I bought it in their website. Very frustrating. I keep receiving emails from Big W saying that my order is ready for collection but have no address or instructions on where to go to collect it. Then I call costumer services and they don't acknowledge the emails and tell me they can't do anything.
I the ask for a cancellation of the order and guess what? They can't do it because they didn't sell it, it was a partner.
Please do not buy stuff at big w.!!
They ship collectibles in a bag.
They keep shipping collectibles in a bag, I send back a damaged product and they just send back the same one in a bag to get damaged again. Since it happened twice they offered half the money back instead since they think it'll just keep happening. Put it in a box and it won't happen. I get told it's cause it's by itself I order more items and it still gets shipped out by itself. Useless company every other company isn't this bad.
Easy and trustworthy
Online shopping, ideal and fast online shipping. Product availability sourced from multiple stores if not available in one location.
The website is a joke
The website is a joke, i travelled to 3 different stores to simply find some bendy straws and the workers couldn't even find it. Either they don't update their websites properly or their workers are incapable of going through storage to find things. Also; workers don't wear uniforms and seen to run away or hide when people need help finding things. Wasted my whole day going here... so many advertised items (ofc I put in the postal code etc) yet so much misleading advertisements. Won't be coming back to entertain whether this dumb shop has what I need or not.
Drab, boring and miserable range of Winter Season Clothing. Disappointing range of winter clothing…
Disappointing range of winter clothing for women.
I have dropped into my local big W on several occasions in the lead up to Winter. On each occasion I have been disgusted and very disappointed with what is on offer in both areas for regular sizing and for larger figures. The colour range is drab, boring and basically brown or burgundy and there are racks of the most revolting garments in a range of animal prints and ,little else. I cannot imagine what your buyers are thinking but as a 67 year old woman with modern tastes, I wouldn't purchase any clothing that you currently have for sale for winter.
I have been a loyal. Big W client for many years. This is the first time I have walked out of your store on each occasion empty handed and disgusted. Big W needs to rethink the services of your buyers and you need to take a good look at what they are putting in your stores. I would very surprised if your sales this year are not rock bottom.
You really need to lift your game .

Boys club with a culture of se**al harassment and that terminates employees for calling it out.
Steer clear of the Woolworths Group. Report the behavior as a whistleblower, make a police & Worksafe report. DO yourself a favor and maybe don't work here
Doo doo stained sheet cover
they done sent me a doo doo stained sheet cover, dayum that thang was brown please never send me something like that again
BigW Online Store Review
They sent me a dirty, stained doona and my Hello Kitty silk gown without the robe cord. I reached out to them, and they said they would email me and send the cord, but they never contacted me. It’s not worth the hassle. They send out the worst stock, and pack things messily and insecurely. Never order online—just go in-store. I ended up having my doona exchanged in person. It's disgusting how they treat customers, especially those with disabilities who rely on online shopping.
Website blocks bad reviews from being submitted
Tried to leave an honest product review for a faulty product (drawers that couldn’t possibly close on a unit - so definitely a design/manufacturing issue) but funnily enough the one star review can’t be submitted! No wonder the ridiculously overpriced trash they sold me had no reviews!
Buyer beware Big W Marketplace
I’m lost for words to describe how low Big W have stooped to sell items on their Marketplace. They do nothing but pass the buck and insist on submitting an escalation that is only available to you, the shopper, in one of the emails about the purchase - therefore - conveniently, they are unable to liaise with the seller to follow up the escalation. I’ve ended up with two faulty shower chairs and will be out of pocket disposing of them at the local tip. I have been escalating the issue to arrange for collection of the chairs so that I am not out of pocket. Because the Seller (Edison’s Direct) have refunded me they keep on repeating that they don’t need the chairs back. Which is extremely infuriating because it is not dissimilar to the experience of talking to a child who hasn’t developed the ability to understand context. However, despite the apparent off shore customer service team for Big W Marketplace (no phone number available for the seller, Edison’s Direct - another convenient bypass of accountability), I am not even convinced it is a language barrier, but no more than a rehearsed script. It has a feel to it like you are taking to a robot, not a real person.
Today I phoned Big W for the ??? time and suggested I could drop the faulty items to the local Big W store, for them to dispose of. This caused them to advise me in no uncertain terms that they do not advise I do that as they are not Big W Marketplace. Silly me for attempting to find a compromise!
For Big W to profit off these sales yet wipe their hands clean when it comes to resolving customer issues, whilst using their brand to attract customers, it’s quite clear that they have lowered their standards to false advertising and extremely misleading and deceptive sale of goods. They no longer deserve the reputation they have earned and are certainly no longer a safe brand to shop with online. Especially for disability or medical equipment. It’s also particularly concerning that they are getting away with it, as with regards to returning the items the NSW Department of Fair Trading simply advise to take it the Tribunal and wipe their hands of it also. Our money and time is precious and patronage to big business is what keeps them in business. I will not be supporting Big W any longer as a trusted brand. And most certainly not Edison’s Direct, if they had any chance of becoming one via their so esteemed business partner.
Deal with BigW Market at your peril. It…
Deal with BigW Market at your peril. It took an email to the CEO of Woolworths to get any action from their so called "Help" system regarding attempts to locate a delivery that mysteriously went missing.
terrible.
I went to the Ballarat big W and I am disgusted in the way that they treat there consumers, I went in with my cousin to buy my mum a raspberry coke and was confronted by multiple people for stealing items, This would have been fine and I was be understanding even though I was not stealing, after I checked out and went to show the lady’s at the front my receipt they then became aggressive and made me empty out my pockets, then continued to threaten to call the police if I was ever seen here again, I am disgusted and appalled to say the least, I will not be returning to this store until they learn to identify there customers by there face and not accuse by uniform.
First time using Big W online
First time using Big W online. They had the best price on delivery. I ordered on Wednesday and received all by Monday. Seems good enough I don't know what the other people are on about. I give them 5 stars
Spam city
