It took about 3 weeks to go through an approval/security process to buy or sell crypto. My first purchase stated that I could not withdraw for one week.

I wanted to purchase and sell for a very specific reason. It was my best insight that Bitcoin was going to rise 10% in less than a week. It did go up slightly more than that and as expected, went down.

My investment timing is none of their business.

Excessive time in customer service to get approval. Somewhat intrusive questions. Unnecessary to hold my assets . Under the guise of security protocol, to much room for losses. I did not get a warm fuzzy on helpfulness from customer service.

Do not use bitstamp, they will let you use it for a few months then lock your crypto and put you in a loop where you can't get it back out. Youwill try and try but the days they give you to setup a phone call conference for 1 hour to prove you are the one trying to remove the crypto has no availablities so going on 4 months now they have full control of my crypto no way to get it out.

How much time do you have? I have been with Bitstamp for 10 years and I am disgusted with the lack of concern. I purchased some crypto a month ago and was never given my shares after my bank payed them. My money was stolen and they keep saying they are working on the problem. I have made 6 phone calls to get the same run around. Today I get an e-mail from the Bitstamp employee that I sent my proof too, and he said the issue is resolved. I went to check my account and I still did not have the shares that they took from me. I am so pissed and I can't believe they are still in business. They have not heard the last from me. Steer clear of these guy's and find another crypto exchange. Scott.

My account got locked after the 2step verification code stopped working. It has been over two weeks since they blocked my account. When I call, an agent asks to go on a link fo book a 1hour video call on a calendar that shows no availability at all for booking. When I call back, they ask to keep on trying until a slot is available. THIS IS REAL SCAM.... RUN AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.

Avoid under all circumstances. A total scam. Unsafe! Unprofessional! Not trustworthy!

My account is new and verified. I received an email stating that my 0.46 BTCs from MTGOX were available for withdrawal, but it was a lie. Although I can exchange them, I cannot withdraw the balance. I am 73 years old and sick, and it seems their goal is to keep my BTCs. I have contacted Milena several times, and she always gives the same response, saying that the department is reviewing it. Now she doesn't even respond anymore. This has been going on for over 50 days.

They are a scam they terminated my partners account stating it will never be reopened.

What's going on here at bitstamp? Are you broke? Or are you scammers? That's not normal, there are only negative reviews here, I could puke, you should just change your industry, because you can't do what you're currently offering.

Freezed deposit and withdrawal options on the account. Support was not replaying to tickets at all for 6 weeks! Could not use the assets on the account (75K EUR).
After 6 weeks of silence they decided to close the account giving no explanation.

Pure scam of a company, I bought £25 of bch only £10.31 showing in my account. Has this company a license to operate in the EU🤷‍♂️ Do not use this company they steal your money. Red flag. My ID on company is bovp6575

I finally was able to login and my withdrawal was disabled

Bitstamp.net froze my account without explanation. I've been trying to get customer service for over a month. All I received was a form response with no information.

Shocking experience dealing what must me the worst customer service of all time having issues resetting my 2FA, well I’m not but when I do it’s saying invalid credentials! This is even after I have cleared cache and resinstalled app and set a new password! I’m totally stuck and can’t access my own account and trade

Set up an account with Bitstamp. I transferred £25, £25 and £10 to just check that the money would transfer easily into the account. The first two were within a few minutes of each other and the second a few hours later. It took several days before one of them was in the Bitstamp account, then the second
Only two of the transactions have been recognised by them. Given I sent it from my banking app for the three transactions then it is rather unlikely that two are recognised and one just disappears. Given that I have sent three small payments and one has been 'lost' then I do not think I will be using them to send larger sums of money. They want a transfer receipt from my bank. I have found that with faster payments then no receipt can be provided which I find astounding, and without this Bitstamp will not investigate the issue. I have given them transfer reference numbers but to no avail.
I wish I had read these reviews as clearly they show that many people are having various issues with them.

It's been nearly 1 month since they blocked my account for no reason. Their excuse: security reasons.
I've called several times, sent emails, answered all their questions... nothing changes, they won't let me take back my assets (€15,000).
It's a frightening situation.
I'm going to lodge a complaint with a government body.

THE WORST EXCHANGE EVER USED UNTIL TODAY, DONT EVEN TRY TO USE IT, THEY WILL BLOCK YOUR MONEY WITH NO REASON. STAY AWAY!
I made a deposit on 30 june and converted it in BTC but from then until now I couldn't still withdraw my money because thay disabled all the features without reason.
I am writing to them everyday and they will not let me withdraw my money and meanwhile I lost because BTC is losing value. Hope to find a solution at the competent authorities.

After reading all the negative REVIEWERS, I decided to terminate the enrollment procedure. I had a bad feeling from the very beginning of this process. I had problem after problem trying to get through the enrollment process.
Again after reading the reviews, you would have to be brain-dead to continue this process.

Took me at least 10 hours of phone calls to withdraw the sad remains of my bitcoin. They would be unable to help me after a long phone call so they would create a ticket to escalate my claim, then I would receive an email with instructions, the instructions wouldn’t work, I would have another frustrating phone call and the process would repeat itself, over and over and over I despise this company.
