Do not use these cowboys.

I provided all the proof of identity the required. purchased bitcoin from them. very soon after i started receiving pest calls from telemarketers and scammers about cryptocurrency. now they want more personal detail from me and have frozen my accounts as i refuse to give them it. This seems completely unethical and illegal. avoid at all costs

I have the right to write my opinion. Freedom of speech. This is not North Korea. The government services are already investigating the money flows at Bitstamp. Follow the money ... and the truth will emerge. Just my opinion.

In general it's 3+ I've been using this exchange for a couple of years and it's really stable and easy to understand.

Pros: solid and stable. Has USD, EUR, GBP, etc. for withdrawals. Helpful support.

But there are cons: lack of coins, not a big variety of coins to choose from for trading.
And the biggest issue is KYC/AML it's just too much of personal information that is required and I'm talking up to birth certificate, that's just overboard....

If you're not ready to submit the above information just pass on..

Reputable exchange, but they're over complicating things with aml procedures.

That's what this exchange should be called: Basicstamp. Nothing stands out, it's just another exchange out of the millions that already exist.

Bitstamp is your standard go-to starter exchange. Not too complicated, decently simple platform and it just works well. Move on as you gain more trading skills.

Bitstamp is a genuine scam of massive proportions, luckily I only invested £100. so not out of pocket too much. Just a warning to everyone out there to KEEP CLEAR OF THESE SCAMMERS

This is a follow-up on the earlier post and another warning so that others do not fall prey to Bitstamp's sleazy operations.

As soon as I posted the negative review on Bitstamp,
I received an email from the company informing me that they would be terminating my account in accordance with their Terms of Use. Having read their terms of use, I am still totally clueless as to the reason for the termination. I lost 36% of my monies since this was the 'costs' they deducted from my funds.

The only customer support provided is having low-level staff answering phones who are unable to provide any meaningful answers. You will not be able to speak with a supervisor.

If you are looking for a crypto exchange that you can trust, go to Coinbase. Do NOT use Bitstamp. You will be scammed out of your monies by Bitstamp. BEWARE!!

Bitstamp blocked my account with my money inside. Don't trust. Its scam.

Bitstamp has no berating flaws, yet it also has no distinguishable qualities. As far as exchanges go, it just...works.

I am calling for 5 days and i cannot move my money not to buy not to withdraw anything.

Isn't it possible me to send you what documents you need or we to make video call again so i can unlock my money?

Please don't tell me i am waiting more.

Great service. Nice support. Quality App.But very and very poor verification service. When you finished your verification and think that you can use service, you need to understand that your deposit can be hold....

Huge fee for the refund. So I dont recommend this provider to anyone. You will just spent the time.

I want to share my experience with Bitstamp crypto wallet.
I have deposited above 7,000 eur into my account , so I can use their services and convert my money into Bitcoin.
However they block my exchange option and now more than 2 weeks they are neglecting my request.
I don't have anybody from the company helping me.
They are not returning my money.
I hope that this is not another scam company !
For everyone who never use Bitstamp so far , make sure you will think twice and my advice don't trust your money with them !
Worst services !!!

Bitstamp terminated my account before I had done any trades. They would not answer my questions as I was keen to find out what I had done wrong, if anything.
But nothing.
So if their customer service is so poor, I would not trust them to run a broking platform

It has been one month that Bitstamp still have my funds even though they had terminated my account without returning
The money that was owned.

When a company terminates your account then misleads you in thinking that they have sent your money back to the original account it had come from.

Would you call this Fraud???

Well this is what Bitstamp have done.
It’s being professional and honest that
Wins peoples minds, not robbing them
Of their hard earned money right.

Bitstamp have consistently mislead and deceived in the hope that the customer
Will stop trying to get their money back
From exchange that has not once offered any service.
When you purchase something in the shop you will receive your goods and services.
This has not happened with bitstamp .

They have basically taken the money and used this for their own means.

The FCA that regulates the financial markets should not even allow Bitstamp
To have any such office in the UK without
A license.

The only way to deal with Bitstamp is to
Use their own means against them.

A great thanks to Mr Casey Graham, I was able to make a profit of $4,700 from my last one week of trading.

I have a Bitstamp account for almost 2 months and recently they removed 22,000 EUR from my account due to some administrative costs and 5-6 days later another 22,000 EUR disappeared because of some market failures. I tried contating them over email and they just closed/terminated my account and didn't want to open it again.

Pure scam, don't use this!
