Looking at 36 reviews, most reviewers were unhappy with their experience overall. Many customers expressed dissatisfaction with the high prices, finding the cost of tickets, food, and other services to be excessive and a rip-off. Reviewers frequently encountered issues with the service, including rides constantly breaking down, long queues, and poor organization, which led to a disappointing visit. The quality of the park was also a concern, with many feeling it was run down, dirty, and lacked upgrades, especially given the high entry fees. However, some customers also noted positive experiences with the staff, describing them as friendly, helpful, and amazing, particularly in guest services and medical teams. Additionally, a few other people also felt that certain shows, like the Hot Ice Show, were of high quality and provided excellent entertainment.

Rides are far too long unless you pay for an over extortionate priced fast pass . I also paid for a pre-paid pleasure beach card as this place is apparently cashless! When I went to use the card it wouldn't scan . Not only that the card is non refundable and you are not allowed to sell this card and it will expire at a certain time How is this actually legal ? never going to visit this sh*thole again !

What an awful place to visit

What an awful place to visit . Paid an aem and a leg to get in . Couldn’t ride some coasters as they weren’t running . Waited 90 minutes with a child to ride the big one only for it to close due to mechanical failure . We managed only 6 rides throughout the day . The place was dirty and way too many people were allowed in the place . Place was much better when you paid per ride . What a shame . Won’t be going again .

4 rides all day for £172, utter rip off

Usually visit Blackool Pleasure Beach once a year but this will be the last time! Prices utterly ridiculous, £172 for a family of 5. My husband and I didn't want to go on the rides but still pay extortionate amount to stand and hold kids bags all day. After a full day of queueing my boys managed to get on 4 rides! What a waste of time and money. The app was a joke, stated 60 minutes wait time for the big one when we actually waited over 2 hours. Had to send photos of kids when claiming e tickets which I wasn't comfortable with then these passes had to be scanned at each ride which added to queue times. Getting into the park was like going through airport security. Staff member enjoyed routing through my personal belongings and was very rude when we asked for information. Dont entertain buying food or drink inside the park. No atmosphere at all and the guy on one of the games needs to learn to use his microphone. His distorted voice constantly shouting to entice people to waste money trying to win a giant Toblerone for over an hour gave me a headache. The whole place is in need of refurbishment, just run down now. Nothing special and certainly not worth anywhere near what we paid. It is laughable really, that we arrange a day out where we do nothing but stand in queues all day and we paid nearly £200 for the privilege. Never again!

We paid adult price online for our 13yr…

We paid adult price online for our 13yr old children ( didn't make the 12 Yr old child criteria). We didn't want to go on the rides as I have disabilities. And was shocked by having to pay £50 each to get in. Apparently the price structure has changed. We don't have alot of money but felt we had no choice. It's been awhile since we last went to Blackpool it was scruffy, with hotels closed and rubbish everywhere..... We will never go again, next time we'll go to Alton Towers that price is similar ( if not cheaper on certain days), much bigger, 2x more rides, and a much nicer setting and place to visit.... Dont go to Blackpool!!!!

Yet another negative result of lockdown

BPB is yet another victim of Covid and lock down I'm afraid. We used to love this place when they did WOW weekends but now it costs the same as the height of season, despite the Big One always being shut in March. We have visited every year (sometimes twice) since 2016 but with an ever growing family (now 13 with grandchildren included) we simply can't justify the expense. You even now have to pay for non riders which goes against everything the pleasure beach has ever done. The reason I've loved it since I was a child is that it was so much more flexible than standard theme parks. It has priced us out of the market. So much so that our annual birthday trip to Blackpool will be moved to a cottage on the coast next year. Between Sandcastle and the Pleasure beach's massive price hikes and change in pricing/visit structure since lockdown we no longer see a trip to Blackpool as a cheap family trip

Good rides dodge the stall staff

Took my 3 kids for one of their birthdays on Sunday 12th March 24. Stall staff are rude 2 in particular, one asking why I wouldn't play and the other denied my disabled daughter a large prize because only her hand was over the line, bearing in mind she's knee high and has physical disabilities. She even said 'i won daddy' but the guy behind the stall said 'thanks for playing'.

Rides were good infact but word of warning, don't take cash because it will not be used as legal tender. Nowhere on their site does it mention no cash, turned up with cash and was unable to use.

Overall experience was utter crap.

Ordered seasonal platinum tickets for…

Ordered seasonal platinum tickets for my four grandchildren. I was told because they were for Christmas presents I'd get a gift card to give to them before Christmas then it looks like they've received a present...like they did in previous years.
These never happened.
Soul destroying not being able to give them anything at the time.
I rung them every day about this but it was closed for Christmas and won't open until the 2nd of January. I phoned on the 2nd January to be told they'd decided not to do the gift card this year.
And to top it off it's cost me £13 to phone them.
Disgusting to do this to children. You should be ashamed.

Staff are extremely rude and unhelpful. Massively overpriced and dirty.

Visited Blackpool Pleasure Beach yesterday. There are some good rides, though many are dated and very rough. But the staff are awful and we had a couple of incidents when there:

To begin with, at the gate security, we were rudely informed that picnic food is not allowed in the pleasure beach. We had brought food in for two reasons: 1. myself and my partner are vegan, and our children vegetarian, and we find it difficult to find food we can eat. And 2. one of my children is autistic and extremely picky with food. There are only a handful of foods she is able to eat, so I have to carry those foods with me when we go anywhere. The woman at the security gate did not elaborate that the park policy actually states: "Allowances are made for guests with special dietary requirements" or that "Guests with special dietary requirements can report to an Ambassador upon arrival", which I later discovered when I looked up the park FAQs. Nor did she direct us to the lockers located next to the entrance where presumably we could have stored our food and eaten it outside the park. She was extremely rude, unhelpful and argumentative, and my partner had to walk 30 minutes to the car and back to drop off our food, whilst I waited with three very impatient children. Of course we then also had to take an hour out of our day to go back to the car and eat our food. This was hugely inconvenient and really spoiled our day.

The second incident was when we attempted to get on the River Caves ride. Before getting on the ride we had first established, like we always do, who will sit with whom as, as I previously mentioned, one of my children is autistic and needs support whilst on rides, particularly dark rides, as this one is. However, when we got to the front of the queue the man organising getting onto the ride was very rude and abrupt and dictated to us where we should sit to balance the ride. That's fair enough, but he was very rude about it, rushing us and giving us no time to reassure my daughter and explain to her what was happening, which would have taken mere moments (there was no one else in the queue behind us so what the rush was I don't know!). Then, to my astonishment, he actually physically took hold of my autistic daughter's arm, pinning her against the metal railings, and refused to let her get onto the ride until we were all on. This distressed her immensely. She is very sensitive to touch and has social anxiety so severe she was wearing a face mask and a hood throughout the day so no one would attempt to look at or speak to her. My partner had to get into an altercation with the man to let her go, telling him not to touch young girls and that his behaviour was outrageous. When we were finally all on the ride we were very shocked by what just happened, and my daughter spent the entire ride sitting alone having a panic attack because, as she perceives it, she was physically assaulted by a male staff member. She barely leaves the house because of her social anxiety, theme parks being a rare exception because she loves thrill rides, and something like this only adds to her fear of the outside world.
Once we got off the ride my partner again spoke to the male staff member in question, explaining how much distress he had caused. He apologised but continued to defend his actions.
This event ruined the rest of our day. My daughter continued to feel panicked, unsafe and sick with anxiety throughout the rest of our time at the park and I had to spend considerable time reassuring her and trying to calm her down.

It cost us £159 for five people, which is much more than any other theme park. And the whole place is run-down and just looks crap. I'll be sticking with Alton Towers where the staff are lovely and the park is clean.

Great Rides. Rude Staff

The rides are great and we'll worth the money. However, what let's the park down are the staff and their bad attitude. This started at the entrance and continued throughout. Very much a cant be bothered approach.

A lot of the rides had to close due to breaking down some weren't even open. Queued for ages for rides to be turned away because they had broken down. Managed to get on 3 rides. £ 50 each for 3 rides is a rip off !! Food is disgusting there undercooked and over priced. It needs a major face-lift or shutting down. Run very badly and rude staff do it no justice !

Waste of money

I went last week and was not impressed. Queue times were ok but not great. Luckily I had printed my ticket (I always do as backup), if I hadn’t my phone battery would not last the day as you have to scan EVERY ride - why?
I’m not happy about having to update my photo to activate my e-ticket. It was not mentioned Oreo-purchase and there is no legitimate reason it is required. Data protection law says you can’t ask for data that is not required, so I will be following this up. I emailed about the photo requirement 2 weeks before going and had no reply.
It costs more than Alton Towers! Literally 2 good rides (BigOne and Icon). Pleasure Beach, you must be nuts if you think that’s who you compete against. Alton Towers little kids section is better than your entire park.

Not all rides are included in the entrance price - Enso and Impossible.

The app is buggy and keeps notifying when it’s notifications are set to off killing the battery (remember you need this to scan in to every ride).

Overpriced, run down, dirty, pointless scanning, and just a waste of money and time.

Go to Alton Towers instead, you have more fun and it’ll be cheaper.

Good to bad

Was having a good day today 16th just two things that got me annoyed, (the first not so much) went on the ice blast and an operator on there, think his name is callam, well he made me feel a little queezy due to his bo smell ((very strong) but the one that made me leave the park was when trouble started on the ice blast due to queue jumpers that started with about 4 and very quickly the number rose to about 40, that was enough for me, so I left the park unhappy.

Me and my two little girls were left…

Me and my two little girls were left very upset yesterday (one of whom has autism) after a woman on the entrance desk searched our bags and kicked up a massive fuss about us bringing in a packed lunch that I made her aware that we had after I had previously called to let them know my children have food allergies. To which I was told was fine for us to bring packed lunch.
This woman argued and argued with me infront of a que of people leaving me and my children very embarrassed and upset. She was asking me what allergies they had? What documentation I had to prove this? Who had I spoke to? As she rummaged through our packed lunch questioning what we had to eat! As soon as I asked to see a manager she quickly apologised what rubbing my arm (very patronising) she spoiled my day to say the least. I won’t be returning.
