Many customers expressed dissatisfaction with the high prices, finding the cost of tickets, food, and other services to be excessive and a rip-off. Returned to Blackpool after many years

Returned to Blackpool after many years. Unsurprisingly it hasn’t changed much but that is a GOOD THING. With so much change going on around us with technology, the news and social media making us depressed all the time it was good to revisit and old place that felt constant, reassuring and familiar like an old friend and I can’t say that with many places in the UK anymore. I felt like a kid again and that’s the point, Blackpool can do that to you. We thoroughly enjoyed the slots, the horse racing, the bingo and a round of pool and don’t forget the fish and chips. All putting a smile on our faces. A great day out without breaking the bank. In 30 years time and if I am still around (with my zimmer frame), you can keep your package, two for one, eat as much as you like, infinity pool holidays I’ll be coming back to Blackpool for my smiles.

Disappointing

Went to pleasure beach yesterday wow we chose a bad day to go! Half the rides kept breaking down and queues were horrendous. Waited 70 mins fir Pepsi na. To be told shut then tried again later to happen again! 45 min wait for ice blast for that to break down and happened with ghost train too. Derby racer shut, grand national shut until last hour of day and even big dipper had issues. I understand it was hot yesterday and safety is the highest of importance but things should be put in place for this happening. It’s a lot of money for a family to spend to waste time in queues to then only go on 3 max rides. Passes should be given to people in queues that have waited, to go on again for the rides not being able to get on or tickets refunded! I went to complain to be given a one ride speedy pass! Not good enough. Couldn’t take my own food in when my daughter is gluten free and couldn’t take in water and water in there is £2 a small bottle! Aldo everywhere is card only so children couldn’t buy things with their own money! Very disappointed and sadly I won’t be returning.

Blackpool Pleasure Beach Extremely…

Blackpool Pleasure Beach Extremely disgusted you wanted to charge a severely disabled child who can't get out of his chair or able to go on any of the rides £40 and then charge his carer £50 just so they can walk around the park with other kids. Alton Towers certainly doesn't do this. Absolutely shameful!

Just not worth it

Cost £160 for 4, as we entered told a 90 minute wait for the big rides, queud 30 mins for ice blast, told broke down, 40mins grand national, broke down, big one stopped, I could go on. £4.50 hotdog, 4.75 chips £2.80 Pepsi, speedy pass £27 extra, cashless throughout, cash is king. All about how many they can cram in for the money regardless of queue times, they don't care. They should reduce number of admissions to avoid long queue times but they won't,its the last time I go there, used to go a few years back, walk in, all cash, take your own food, it truly does need boycotting by all, just a week would do just to show them they need to revert back

HORRENDOUS!!

Horrendous queue times of 90min today and longer on main rides. Then The Big One broke down and never opened back up. Ghost Train broke down..The horse carousel never opened. Grand National broke down but opened back up. They don't give refunds under any circumstances. I eventually broke down and went home. No way will I go back to watch families getting ripped off. I felt sorry watching wee kids with mum in massive queues in this heat. The money they charge to make you stand hour after hour and get on 3 rides is unbelievable. The best part about this park is the Starbucks Coffee and the Exit door.

Went on a coach day trip with my partner the whole of Blackpool so run down depressing place to go would not recommend this place to anybody it’s not even worth a 1* rating the place is dirty everywhere. In my opinion the horses shouldn’t be walking up and down all day taking people in the carriage they need to be in fields where they will be happy and free they all look depressed it breaks my heart I think it’s animals cruelty do not agree with it what so ever!

AVOID BLACKPOOL! The worst holiday/day trip destination to go to.

Won't be returning

It's like Fort knox to get into and still have to scan for every ride... why? If your in surely you've paid ? As you don't admit free entry for non riders? Anyway. Getting stuck on the ghost train wasn't fun. Something mechanical apparently. Dipper shut due to mechanical issues. Pepsi shut due to high winds (which i get) general attitude of the ride staff was ignorant. If you dont like the job find something else! Not great to day all in all we spent £130 to get in.

Pay top dollar to get lung cancer

Overpriced dump that needs closing down. If you want lung cancer it's a great place to visit. Smoking in lines together with teenage vapers makes it miserable.

I've given one star as the staff are really good.

Seriously - no investment for years and yet they want premium prices.

Avoid it's overpriced.

Rip off

£50 for an adult all day ticket. So you can't even get into the park without paying. OK unlimited rides but if you don't want to go on the rides it's still £50. Kids are £30. A complete rip off. Obviously now run by corporate money men. I will not be back

Overall not a bad experience

Overall not a bad experience. Came to one nickelodeon ride and a guy called Jamie thought I was trying to push in from the exit and said to me this is not speedy pass I need my card signing for easy access. He said you have to que but I said my son can't que he is autistic and then he said to me the same thing so I raised my voice amd only then he understood. Had he told me one more time to que I would have blew my lid. Once ride was finished he let me in through easy access. Rest of staff were good.

Oh dear!!

Probably the last time we'll come!! Park opens at 10, rides not open til 10.30 but issues with the Big One meant that it started later. Currently in the queue at 16.44 to be told that the ride has broken down!! So - starts late and finishes early!! Signs all over the place saying 'No Queue jumping'. However, you CAN push in if you buy a so called "Speedy Pass"!! Disgraceful and just another example of what the money grabbing owners will do to get every penny out of people. Unfortunately, I can remember the "good old days" when it was open til at least 10pm every day in the holidays - sad to see that things have changed not for the better!!

I am appalled.

this was horrible. Me and my friend went on the big dipper and she injured herself badly while in the backseat from the dibs. She was unconscious from being hit in the head. Never going back, please be aware of these ride faults. Awful.

Avoid at all costs

Avoid at all costs. My two kids 12 and 14 went this last week on school trips. My son went Monday and daughter Tuesday. The site was reserved for school trips only on both days however was so busy that my son only got to go on 1 ride and my daughter none. It was £32.50 each. Next year I’ll find a drain and throw £65 down it instead of signing them up

Only Got In 2 Rides In A Full Day Due To Rides Faults

My son went on a rewards trip today 17.7.23 and after full day managed to go on just 2 rides. This was due to rides continually breaking down such as Valhalla took 3 hours queuing due to it working and then failing. There were similar issues with The Big One, The Big Dipper and Avalanche and more! I feel extremely sorry for my son who was looking forward to this trip. So far Blackpool Pleasure Beach have offered nothing to help make a menu. I am not happy with the service currently.

What another fantastic day at Blackpool…

What another fantastic day at Blackpool Pleasure Beach (8th July 2023). 2 people stood out for us though. Dave & Laura on River Caves went above and beyond when they helped get our son onto the ride. He has anxiety about water rides but these were just amazing 😊😊😊😊

Attacked by a member of staff.

Well this is my experience of blackpool pleasure beach. After the experience of not being able to bring a small trolley in for my autistic daughter to have her essentials I went and purchased a back pac. Went in fine. My daughter wanted to purchase some items from the shop before it got busy. We has trouble navigating to the outside shop. At the entrance a lady jn a red top looked like she had big red hair and a piercing said when we try to get back in. The tickets will decline so we must enter on the right hand side and even pointed to where we had to go.that I must go to someone in a red top. We Left the shop and I saw a member of staff in a red top right hand side like I was told. As I was making a bee line for the lad d in a red top I vaguely saw a gentleman on my left hand side carrying a large sign over. Could not see what was on the sign as he was carrying it. Well all hell broke lose. This man was a very large man bald head I would say a good foot taller then me started screaming and I mean screaming pure anger at Me. I couldn't understand really what he was saying he was just shouting. I remembered saying it OK I need to see this guy in red. The guy in red explained I had to go in the other way. All the while I was being absolutely verbally attacked by this man. My son said which I didn't see he picked up the sign looked like he was going to throw it in my face. The anger and the aggression this man was shouting at me all because I went in the wrong entrance and I couldn't of gone anywhere because of the barriers. I asked him to stop shouting at me to which he did. I then went in I saw the lady who told me to go that way and said I just been screamed at she said must of been some confusion bent down looked at me said with the most sarcstic voice twice with a smirk have a nice day. All of a sudden the large man appeared and started screaming at me how I was stupid I should of seen the sign. I asked for his name he refused to give me his name he was pointing at me with pure anger then bizarrely started asking me for my name and was going to put in a complaint about me.he refused point blank to give me his name and contunined to point at me so angry he was spitting. Lovely lady catlyn appeared she had her back to him I asked if she could give me his name she said she did not know it and because they work and different departments she could not ask. All the while he and his 2 colleagues that obviously idolised him was laughing and joking at me. Other staff looked completely disgusted by his behaviour. I said to catlyn u do realise he laughing and joking at me. She said rest assured she will be notifying her manager about this. Out the blue he was going from pointing to screaming at me to which I did not respond to then laughing and joking at me. The girl with red hair was trying to get hi attention to roll her eyes . If the barriers was not there I believe he would of physically gone for me. He obviously wa a powerful man that had influence over some staff to feel safe he could attack a lone female and get away with it. I felt it was best to leave as he was not stopping. I then seeked comfort in the shop to which the staff was lovely. The ttallboy was really concerned as at this point I was in tears and shaken up by what just happened. He phoned a manager Michelle who was brilliant and got in touch with Courtney. She did her best for me and assured me it will be dealt with and was going to view the cctv. She also gave us some speedy pass to say sorry. But I don't think anything could of helped. It had really affected me I just tried to hold it together for the kids. I wanted to go home and i spent the whole time feeling very unsafe and looking over my shoulder as I was convinced he was going to find me. At one point had to go back to the car and he was sat on the floor he spotted me and laughed a big bellowing laugh just to make his presence known. When leaving he was at the exit I was so scared i had to ask a member of staff to walk with me incase he attacked me again. No woman or man should be made to feel tgis way. he obviously a bully and a thug. who has no care to attack a lone female . In a public main sector. this will happen to someone else. I spent the rest of the evening in tears. i hope his next victim is brave enough to also speak up
