Excellent service
Bought 2 camping chairs and some guy ropes in the Newport store. Very helpful staff and excellent service. Only knocked off one star as the chairs weren't available in blue which was our preferred colour.

I’d like to bring to your attention the fantastic service I received from Charlie, in your Newport store whilst helping me choose a pair of walking boots.
He was friendly, but professional, and he had an in-depth knowledge of your products.
He also enquired as to whether I had a Blacks or a Blue Light card, the latter of which my husband did, therefore there was a discount on the boots.
He is a great asset to your company, and you should be proud of him.

Very friendly and helpful staff
The staff at this branch are incredibly helpful and friendly. I've bought quite a few things from this store over the past few years after staff recommendation and have really loved the products. They're also great with returns. I bought a regatta parka in store and upon getting home and trying it on again, I realised a pocket had a hole in. I took it back the next day and they apologised and replaced it then and there for me. Couldn't recommend this store enough 👍

Perfect Boots
The staff in store (Newport, Isle of Wight) were really helpful with lots of advice about choosing a walking boot that would be the correct fit. They let me take a pair home to try indoors. They were too small. When I returned them the next day an overnight delivery had come in - the larger size was a perfect fit. The boots were really comfy from the start; and I had warm dry feet, with no blisters, after climbing Scafell Pike. Thank you for excellent service and the best pair of boots I have ever had.

Initially this was very frustrating as…
Initially this was very frustrating as blacks did not have any of the maps I wanted in stock. However chap agreed to order them to be sent directly to me . Said he could not just order for the shop or me to collect.Took quite a while to order and then his computer crashed so he lost the order. Tried again but it would not work. Hopeless. I returned 2 days later and ordered again and computer was ok. Had excellent service from then on and Maps arrived very promptly .

Very helpful member of staff did all she could to help me find exactly what I wanted. Although not in stock, she sourced a pair of boots which arrived by next day delivery - almost unheard of on the Isle of Wight. Very happy with the service, quality & price.

JUST PERFECT
100 per cent professional, helpful and friendly. We were told delivery of a camp bed and sleeping bag was 3 to 4 working days. We ordered on the Tuesday afternoon and had delivery on the Thursday morning. WELL DONE Blacks and Thank you. We will be back again.

Really helpful staff in the Newport…
Really helpful staff in the Newport (IOW) store both upstairs in footware and downstairs in clothing.
Sue there took the trouble to thoroughly explain about the merits of different products. Nothing was too much trouble. Relaxed and non pressurised atmosphere. Recommended.

Blacks on the Isle of Wight
I recently went into Blacks on the Isle of Wight. I was met by a lovely lady called Michelle. She was super helpful. Gave me lots of time to browse and try on garments. She then carried my clothes upstairs (without being asked) so I could try on some walking shoes.

We had quite a list for Ten Tors Challenge and were lucky to be served by Mark. He was super-knowledgeable and able to make sensible and affordable options.
