Berry lodge surveyors provides excellent advice and is really helpful answering all questions

I was very impressed with the surveyor's application and comprehensiveness. He also managed to be very pleasant and engaging.
Our questions were addressed knowlegeably and honestly. Altogether a good experience.

Would suggest this company for quick party wall notices. Beau quoted and served Notices on the same day and also spoke to both neighbors when they phoned. He then produced two property reports and I was able to start my works two weeks later.

BL Surveyors prepared party wall letters, inspection reports and a third party wall award agreement for me. I found the service to be good, pretty quick and found Beau helpful and clear. I was a particular fan of the weekly updates. I would recommend.

Would strongly advise you avoid Berry Lodge for any party wall work.

We had the severe misfortune of dealing with this company...the person we dealt with was rude and demeaning throughout and we also felt that he misled us.

We specifically told him from the outset that we were on a tight budget and asked for advice on which of two building plans would be least onerous in terms of getting party wall notice. They told us at this point that we should try our preferred plan, and if anyone disputed it and wanted to appoint a surveyor we could switch to the other which only required approval from one neighbour instead of 3.

Despite me providing a very clear instruction that we only wanted them to send party wall notices and not to proceed in any further ways or incur any further costs without our express permission they decided to ignore this and racked up a bill that was nearly £1k.

Due to the absurd and archaic way that the party wall process works, the only way to resolve a dispute such as this is through a "third surveyor" which, of course, is another surveyor for which we will be entirely liable for the costs of. So we had no choice but to pay unless we wanted to incur further costs.

Totally unacceptable business practices and have reported the surveyor and his firm to their trade body.

Bradley gave me great advice on obtaining a License To Alter to install wooden flooring in my property. I recommend anyone going into this makes the most of their 30 minute free advice phone service to get all the information you need.

I called Berry Lodge Surveyors for some general advice on how to go about serving notice on my neighbours or whether i even needed to at all. This being in the near future, I realised some surveyors didn't give me the time of day really, but i got through to a member of staff named Shay i believe who was very knowledgeable, calm and humorous - Made my day! I was in an iffy mood to begin with but left very informed and uplifted. Will be using them in the near future.

About a party wall issue.

He gave me prompt and accurate information in relation to the issue that we had regarding who's responsibility it was to fix the damaged party wall, we wanted to know if it was our responsibility or that of our local council.

Many thanks to Tughan for his prompt service and diligent work. I have to mention that I intentionally hire his snagging service before the completion of my house build project because I had some concerns about the workmanship of my contractor's building work. Prior to the snagging, I made a list of queries concerning the technicalities and methods of the works my contractor has done. Tughan was very patient with me and he answered most of my questions in a professional manner. He spent a good amount of time inspecting my property throughout. I apologise for my late review as the snagging was done about 2 months ago and unfortunately my house is still not yet completed due to the lack of professionalism on my contractor's end. Working with my contractor has been a nightmare and he has this reluctant and denial attitude whenever I raise any issues regarding the build and his workmanship, he always tries to come up with somewhat illogical reason to dust me off. With the snagging report, at least I have a credible proof to show him that certain issues which will need to be rectified before the official handover.

Spoke to Bradley, he gave me free phone and email advice on party wall issue, excellent service.

The work that Berry lodge undertook for me was excellent. I had some extremely difficult neighbours who didn't understand the process and were holding up my project. Bradley stepped in. managed the process clearly and efficiently and we were able to obtain the party wall agreements in a relatively short period of time. Communication was always excellent and the service was extremely professional. I would highly recommend Berry Lodge to anyone in need of a Party Wall Surveyor.
