Blue Nile is great, prices are fair, just tough for sizing. When you order a ring, knowing it will not fit, it is frustrating.
I ordered my wedding band (groom), and had went to multiple box stores to try on rings. I knew I was a 8.25 ring size.
Blue Nile does not carry quarter sizes, so it is difficult to know you are ordering something that needs to be resized.
Additionally, the style I selected was indicated as a ring that could not be resized by Blue Nile.
I did call and ask for a potential solution, but there was no clear solution.
Still a good experience, but I do now need to pay to have my ring resized, which can be frustrating.

I didn’t receive any paperwork about the diamond ring I bought.two bracelets after payment took a month to arrived, even m chatting many times complaining and asking to expedite the transaction.

I had an exchange order that took nearly 3 months. I had to follow up many times via email and chat over that period, and was being told that it was awaiting review. BlueNile still had my money and now my product the whole time. I finally had to threaten (multiple times) to file complaints with my credit card company for someone to actually ship my replacement order. I am a very reasonable person - I understood that there may be a slightly longer than expected wait due to holiday return volume. I was told originally that it could be up to 1 month - 3 is completely insane. It is unfortunate because your products are high quality, but I will not make any purchases from BlueNile in the future.

Firstly, for a pair of earrings listed online, I am unclear why I had to wait 2.5 weeks for them to be shipped Secondly, I ordered cushion cut earrings, which should have a square-ish shape. I did not study the stones exact dimensions before purchase, and one of them is clearly rectangular, even though they have identical carat weights (it’s cut is shallower). Because my earlobes are slightly different sizes, I thought this would work, but almost 3 weeks later I am not 100% satisfied with the look. In not exactly sure what to do, but thinking of heading to retail location for options.

Blue Nile made a written promise to me after a data breach compromised all my personal and payment information in 2022. Their SVP Michael Hopkins personally emailed me to apologize and offered a $250 credit, and an explicit written commitment that when I returned to buy wedding bands, I would receive additional discounts on top of that credit.
That moment has now arrived. I am getting married and was ready to spend a significant amount on a 3ct band with them. Instead of honoring their commitment, Blue Nile's customer service told me there was no record of any agreement, kept their promise to offer the $250 but nothing further.
That was weeks ago. No email. No call. Complete silence and now follow up
Let me be clear: this is not a misunderstanding. This is a written commitment from a senior executive that Blue Nile is simply choosing not to honor because the person who made it no longer works there. That is not how accountability works. That is not how trust works.
I was a loyal customer who dealt graciously with a serious data breach. I gave them the benefit of the doubt. I came back ready to spend again. And they ghosted me. Please spend your money somewhere else

I would never buy anything from this company! I bought my wife a tennis bracelet for her birthday. It was too large so we took it back to have it resized. They said we could not have it resized until after 60 days because we purchased a care plan. After the 60 days, it would take a minimum of six weeks to have it shortened. We took it back home to think it over and eventually brought it back to the store for a refund since we were well inside our 30 day refund period. Now they’re telling me it could take five weeks for them to issue a refund as it needs to be sent to New York and verified. They actually sent it off but then sent me an email with a UPS label to send it. I don’t think the left hand knows what the right hand is doing. They even acknowledged with a email that they have received it but told me it would be 4 to 5 additional weeks until they can issue a refund.Their customer service is the worst. Even the lady who helped us in the store said that she does not agree with how they operate. It amazes me that they even have customers. I will never ever ever walk into another blue Nile store. Buyer beware. If you ever need something done to your jewelry, it’s going to take months. No wonder they never have anybody in the store when I’ve ever walked by. It’s because of the poor customer service.
