Hearing Test Hell

Had an appointment at Harpur Centre Bedford for which I had to wait two weeks. Turned up at 8:55 and it was shut so went off to use the gents quickly. Got back and registered for my appointment and was asked to sit down. The guy came out and said I was 8 mins late for my appointment so he’d decided to see the next patient early and I would have to re-book. I left and came straight back and pointed out to the receptionist that if he’d given away my 9:00 am slot then the 9:15 slot must therefore be free. After a great deal of discussion they agreed. However, he seemed intent on sending me away without testing me claiming I had too much ear wax. I didn’t believe him. I don’t pay a premium for private treatment to be messed around. I’m also cancelling my Boots eyecare and contact lense subscription.

Very good experience

I was set at ease immediately prior to my hearing test. The test itself was explained and carried out very well, and I was very comfortable with the entire process.

The audiologist put me at my ease

The audiologist put me at my ease, explaining all the tests and choices very clearly. She was very warm and friendly. The only issue is why I have to wait two weeks for my hearing aids.
