The audiologist was very pleasant and put us at ease. She was thorough, explained my options, gave me a brief ~"test run" of hearing aids. nothing was pushed at us and we went home to consider our options at our leisure. I ordered hearing aids several weeks later and have just had them fitted. So far so good.
