I purchased a dishwasher in August…
I purchased a dishwasher in August which was faulty. After numerous engineer call outs, it could not be repaired, so it was replaced with another of the same make. This unfortunately had the same problem, so I rang Boots customer services again. The customer services agent understood that I did not want the same again & allowed me to change to a different make of dishwasher. On each of these occasions the customer services agents were extremely polite & helpful. They did their utmost in understanding the problem I was having, & were able to solve this for me. I would highly recommend using Boots Kitchen Appliances and their excellent customer services department. Thank you very much.
Well bought a 75" tv from these 10th…
Well bought a 75" tv from these 10th July and it has a fault , just 3 month in.
Emailed to ask what to do and not heard a thing.
I think that I should have not spent my well earned money on this company or their sister company AO.com, spent just short of £2000 this year.
You would think the service would be a bit better.
Order number BTS8915207.
AVOID! Supply issues and poor automated communication system
AVOID!
My customer journey:
9 Sep ordered fridge freezer and told would be delivered on 30 Sep
I removed my old fridge freezer as instructed into garden for collection that day
Customer services message confirming delivery between 7am-7pm - driver not available to take call
Continuously getting amends message but no delivery
Used mobile to call and customer services apologised and said they knew on 28 Sep that item was not in stock and was delayed. Said they had similar fridge freezer and can deliver in 4 days
Sat 3 Oct - day of delivery - didn't arrive. Customer Services now tell me this one is also not in stock. May be able to deliver next Thu but cannot guarantee.
I am left without a fridge - which has been sitting in continuous rain for days so dangerous to use.
Rang another supplier who confirmed they have it in stock and being delivered tomorrow! Spoke to a human being and all smoothly done with a confirmed 2hr delivery slot.
I thought Boots would be reliable - customer services people very nice and try to help but let down by AO and the own automated, non-updated communication system. If I hadn't had an alternative phone, I would have never been able to speak to customer services on the day of delivery as, due to it recognising the number the only option is for a message confirming (wrongly) that the delivery is that day. Anyone without a mobile would not know what was going on at all.
Understand that there may be issues with supplies due to COVID but not excuse for them to not communicate with people.
I feel sorry for the Boots customer services team as they tried their very best for me and it is not their fault.
AVOID!!!
Dreadful - Never Again
I wish I had read the reviews before ordering. I ordered a washing machine, paying extra for quicker delivery, waited in all day on Thursday but it didn't arrive. Kept trying to phone but automated message and the 'driver' seemed to hang up every time it went through to them. I phoned on Friday to be told I could get it delivered today, but I phoned up to check and was told it would be next Saturday!
I just cancelled the order and really hope that they will refund my money. Absolutely no communication from them, it was all me phoning and being kept on hold for ages each time.
I have just gone on to Currys website and we are off to pick up a washing machine - minutes after I ordered it. I know who I'll be using in future!
Amazing Customer Service, thank you Tim!😊
So I bought a freezer from Boots last week and when it arrived, there was a dent in the bottom right of it so I called customer service and a man named Tim answered. He told me to first check if the freezer worked and promised to call back in a couple hours and sure enough, he did! I got compensation and was really taken care of by their service. Thanks you so much Tim and hopefully all customer services can be like this one day!
Possible Vat fraud
Ordered a tumble drier, all went well but no invoice, have phoned customer services several times, huge waits and never had a successful connection, cut off at last minute, timed out ran out of time. have sent 4 mails using their own chat lines, all have been ignored, have removed unit and left in front garden for them to collect. What is it with these companies that refuse to issue Vat invoices, some sort of scam?
I used Boots appliances because of their name, never again
I ordered a Zanussi under counter…
I ordered a Zanussi under counter double oven 4/8/20 and was told it was getting delivered on the 14/8/20. I went on holiday on the 7/8/20. I had amiss call from them on the 8/8/20 then an e-mail informing me that there was a problem with the payment and I was to get in touch with them as soon as possible. I phoned them that day to be told there was going to be a 52 minute wait for me to speak to someone. I tried again the next day but still a 47 minute wait. I thought they would try and phone me back but didn’t. I got another on the 12/8/20 asking me to get in touch with them. I phoned again 30 minutes wait this time. I managed to find an e-mail for them and wrote to them explaining that I had been trying to get in touch with them but was not prepared to wait in a queue for up to 52 minutes and asked them to phone again. I received an e-mail today stating they had cancelled my order. Maybe this was a good thing as I managed to order else where and got it £70 cheaper. So Boots Kitchen I will not be trying to order anything else from you in the future. 👎💩
they didn't deliver on the agreed date, delivery now more than a week later
i ordered a washer drier as my old one broke down. With two young children a washing machine is essential. delivery was scheduled for 21 July (i had chosen Boots because they offered earlier delivery slots than John Lewis or Currys) but on the day their delivery van broke down and there was no back up crew available to make my delivery.
They could not reschedule a failed delivery that was their fault for the next or even the following day. Now i will get the machine more than 1 whole week later - i will have run out of kids clothes by then! And to compensate me for the inconvenience all that was offered was £55 off, when I paid for a premium machine incl installation and recycling. don't recommend, go to a decent retailer like JL.
First time buyer and all good
First time buying and have to say happy. Part of AO.com and I would say competitive with a few lines at better prices. You get boots advantage points as well so can be worth it. I had to change delivery dates twice and got through quickly during peak of COVID (unlike Currys). One call included a price match and inhouse £50 off promo which they honoured. Delivery went smoothly and to plan. Only reason for 4 stars was when I had to change one item (wrong picture on Boots website) the different model I ordered meant the previous promo offer was removed so had to pay the £50.
Fantastic A* service in this difficult time
I have just taken delivery of a washing machine for my 89 year old Father in law who is self isolating. Due to age etc.
HEY64 delivery team fantastic communication and service.
Janine in customer service your service and communication has been A* Thankyou to all in this difficult time.
Refused to install a washing machine
Bought a washing machine for my in-laws who are OAPs and leave 500 miles away from us. As they are unable to connect it themselves I paid for the disconnection and disposal of the old washing machine and the connection of the new one.
The delivery person came and made various claims that the plumbing wasn’t suitable (he claimed there was no isolation valve even though the main water stop cock is half a meter away), that the electrics were dodgy (the washing machine has its dedicated fused socket, with the correct amp).
He claimed his company could do the installation but it would cost my in-laws more money.
He either couldn’t be bothered doing the installation or was trying to extort money out of retired people. Shocking, terrible service.
I used Boots kitchen appliances before (and AO) but that’s it. Never again.
Ordered a Bosch Appliance
Ordered a Bosch Appliance. It turns out it was part of AO.Com. However the item was actually cheaper on BootsKitchenAppliances.com than ordering direct from AO.com but also were the delivery charges (£20 versus £30 through Boots).
If I had bought from AO.com direct it would have cost £379, buying through Boots it cost £349 (a saving of £30).
It pays to shop around.
Really disappointed
Really disappointed. Delivery people refused to deliver on account of a group of 7 stairs to the front door. They did not have the necessary equipment. AO/ Boots appliances refused to redeliver. Other companies have delivered heavier sofas, wardrobes and beds on a recent move into the property. VERY UNHAPPY. BITTERLY DISAPPOINTED as have always been a good company in the past. Looks like we cannot order from AO or Boots as they cannot manage a few stairs.
GREAT service
Having been VERY badly let down by Appliances Direct I ordered a fridge freezer from Bootskitchenappliances. Absolute fabulous service. Texts sent as promised to agree date and time of delivery. All went smoothly except I had no food to put in it because Appliances Direct had not turned up with my order 5 days previously and I had given away by old one on the morning of their supposed delivery.
Thankfully Boots didn’t disappoint.
Very poor service in general
Very poor service in general, waited for a delivery all day which was apparently on the delivery vehicle but couldn't rearrange the delivery until Sunday.
Not happy with customer service
Very happy with the appliances and delivery and the all work fabulous my problem is customer service as the boots points did not arrive on my card Spoke to dreadful you man. Who informed me that boots points can not be put on my card as my husband ordered the appliances and it’s over 14 days they can not help . I am furious as 50 pounds in points - I have called advantage and hope the can sort out as it’s not a case I was aware off so beware of names when buying from boots appliances
I believe it's AO that run boots…
I believe it's AO that run boots kitchen appliances now. Certainly seems like it from the emails etc. Delivery team were excellent and we have yet to install the cooking appliances but so far so good.
AVOID. AVOID. AVOID.
It was all going so well... msg alerts, timely delivery...
The nightmare started when the induction hob turned out to be faulty. I won't bore you with the story so far, and the nightmare is far from over. Never again.

Had numerous excuses and delivery promises all failed. Don’t believe anything they say.
