Highly Recommended
Easy to place an order online and select a delivery date which suits you. The team follow up with a call and you're also contacted on the day of delivery with an estimated two hour timeslot. Everything ran like clockwork for which I'm grateful.
I am very happy with the product I…
I am very happy with the product I bought from Boots Kitchen Appliances - I have used it a few times now. It was delivered by ao.com and I was very impressed with the delivery crew - they were professional, knowledgeable and friendly, they took their time to do things well, and did not leave any mess. I would rate the crew 9/10 for a job well done. I would highly recommend Boots Kitchen Appliances to anyone buying a new item for the kitchen.
Completely useless
Completely useless. We ordered a new washing machine and paid extra to have the old one taken away. The day before the delivery we received multiple phone calls trying to upsell extended warranties which we made clear we didn’t want. When the delivery men arrived they refused to take the old machine because they had the wrong paperwork (which we later found out was caused by the salesperson the previous day). Despite us having a receipt for the disposal they wouldn’t take it or even make a phone call to find out what had happened. After multiple calls to customer services we were told it would be collected the following afternoon, but then they turned up an hour early, when we were out, and now they say they can’t come back today or in the evenings during the week. As we work full time we’re now stuck with a broken washing machine in our hall for the foreseeable future.
Full refund when oven didn't fit!
I bought a new oven from here as it was very competitive compared to other companies, especially once you add in delivery, connection & taking the old appliance away. They emailed to notify of arrival time within a 2hr window which was great.
This was bought for an investment property 2hrs away, so I wasn't onsite during delivery, nor did I know the measurements of the previous oven- I assumed it was standard. Unfortunately, the oven didnt fit due to the space being far too shallow for a normal 60cm oven depth. The driver still disconnected & took away the old oven, and took the new one back.
I spoke to the British call centre as soon as I was aware of what had happened. They had no ovens with such a thin depth available. I was expecting a cancellation fee considering they did deliver, disconnect & take-away the old machine. I was however given a full refund which I was very grateful for! I would certainly use them again in the future, but recommend you measure the space when ordering a new appliance!
Hotpoint Washer Dryer
Thank you the Boots team for getting this farce sorted out.
Waited almost the entire month trying to get Hotpoint to repair my washer dryer.
After I had waited a week for parts then another week for an engineer from Hotpoint the agreed appointment confirmed by text the night before was met by a phone call at 9:00 am saying the engineer was sick so not today. Being the first appointment on a Monday my simple mind thought I would get the next appointment on the Tuesday nope computer said Wednesday and a phone call to Hotpoint confirmed this speaking to an agent.
Then another text from Hotpoint saying Wednesday between 11:17 and 14:17 so all seemed well until I received a phone call at 9:00 am from Hotpoint asking to confirm my name and address etc then the penny dropped they said the engineer had gone sick again.... Slightly lost the plot but no swearing as I must imagine this lady must have to do this to many customers. I asked no a bit stronger demanded to speak to a supervisor or a manager to which I was told they were busy with other things... I did not give up and was put on hold to be told one of two supervisors would call be back I asked the name of who would call but failed to write it down as I was not expecting the phone to ring to cancel again. I politely asked if the supervisor told her she would ring me back whilst I was on the phone why could she not just speak to me now and sort things out? I was told they have a 4 hours response time to call me back..... this could be 5 minutes or a maximum of 4 hours.
After a very positive reply from Boots Appliances customer services the day before in desperation I called them for help and assistance.
This time I must have sounded really annoyed not at them but Hotpoint customer service which must be tarnishing their reputation.
Shanon (hope that is correct spelling) not Sharon in customer services was 100% and a credit to Boots. She listened, did not promise anything other than speaking with Hotpoint at a level I would still be waiting for now.
Result was that she agreed with them it was an unacceptable wait for a repair and my time rearranging to be at home for the repair.
Replacement new machine delivered today as agreed bit late after 7:00pm but all plugged in and first cleaning cycle done so ready for washing tomorrow THANK YOU THE BOOTS TEAM you have restored my faith in buying from you.
Cowboys
Cowboys. Nothing more. Bought a soundbar with delivery to my work address. Put the billing as it's on the card, all matching with 3D secure. A rude agent called me to confirm order - fine. And a few hours later order cancelled ("failed their security"). Happened to me first time in my online purchasing history. Spoke on the phone and if I want to proceed, need to pay again (refund on the way but a few days) and... Hilarious. Need to provide my billing address proof (utility bill or something). Data protection anyone? Doesn't matter my Visa is 3D secure, all matches and I am on voters list. Does not matter if delivery is to my work address (feel free to call me there and check). Rude and unsupportive Customer Service. Never again. Just go to Amazon and save myself dealing with such poor company.
Bought a Candy washing machine in …
Bought a Candy washing machine in …
Bought a Candy washing machine in February 2016 to replace a Zanussi that I’d had for years!
Just before Christmas it’s broken down! Rang Candy to be told as over a year even though with 5 years free parts guarantee ( which is one of the main reasons I chose this one ) they will be charging for labour and call out £129.00.
According to the error code the heating element has gone ! Now this is just not acceptable and after seeking further advice from WHICH - they have advised “Is it reasonable to expect this fault at this time? For example, after 18 months it may be reasonable to expect a part of the powder drawer to chip, but not for the heating element to overheat and break.”
“If you're outside of your warranty period you can still claim from the retailer as your rights are not affected by the expiration of a warranty.”
So where do I go from here !
Boots? AO? Good service? Really??
First - it's difficult to blame the customer service staff when the company they work for is so poorly/cynically organised.
I ordered a kitchen appliance from Boots. It arrived broken. I tried to call the customer care number and was channelled through to the manufacturer who told me that this was happening a lot and that Boots should not be doing this.
The company behind Boots online was AO. The manufacturer advised to call again but wait for a customer service advisor. Mistake - after 4 separate attempts, kept waiting over 10 minutes each time before I gave up.
I then emailed the address on the Boots' invoice. No answer.
I tried to call AO - same rigmarole as before.
I emailed AO and got a response, telling me I had used the wrong email when I originally contacted Boots - it's in their invoice!
After 2 calls and 4 further emails I got AO to agree to a refund and the collection of broken item.
I get a text this morning from AO delivery, a day late - collection should have been yesterday. Try to call the number on the text to amend delivery and it's not recognised!
So, sitting here, steaming, unable to go to work on time and waiting on a courier I cannot contact. No refund, incorrect email addresses and badly organised phone service.
Conclusion? If I ran my business as poorly, I would have no customers.
Please don't keep apologising. Customers rate us by what we do, not what we say. All you need do is just fix what we are telling YOU needs fixing.
faulty Samsung Ecco Bubble washing machine
I've purchased my washing machine back in November 2016, in first week I've complain about spinning fault, engineer has been sent and nothing has been done on site, he just set that this is the programming on short cycles that the stuff is basically soaking wet, and you have to put them on spinning after wash. But the problem is exactly the same where i use the long cycle with 1400 or 1600 spin option, Staff is coming out dripping with water. So again i have to put that on spinning option after.
its ridiculous, I won't buy or recommend Boots appliance to anyone. I've called 4 times about it . 2 of the assistants were unhelpful. On one occasion I was asked to contact Samsung my self. I bought a Samsung product form you and in normal world the supplier is responsible for sold item. you website advertising the 14 day return policy, if product is unopened. Obviously faulty products should be refunded or replaced straightaway. With washing machines how you are able to state if you a happy with product unless you test it. This product was massively advertised but is useless, my electricity has increased by 25%.due to additional spinning.
My order number is BTS8657175 .
i will also pass a copy of my email to the local trade and standard to look closer to the 14 day return policy.
with regards
Aleksandra
Even the mistakes and issues resolved
Having bought an appliance from Boots Kitchens, we had an issue where a part inside snapped. They where happy to replace the item.
They actually went above and beyond and allowed us to swap for a different model.
Great service!
Upon delivery of the replacement the floor was damaged along with the replacement item by the drivers/movers.
Non the less, they quickly within a few days arranged for the floor to be replaced at their expense and provided a new appliance.
Given the appliance cost £900, they replaced my floor at a cost of over £4000 which was damaged.
So yes, even though some bad experiences, they deserve 5 stars for excellent service and quickness.
super service
First stop for new appliances was Currys where the service was abysmal so came home to shop online. Ended up talking to David Bretherton at Boots Kitchen Appliances, who was pleasant, helpful and thorough. Consequently am awaiting delivery of my purchase. Thank you
Baumatic BT9.3GL Chimney Cooker Hood
I can't fault the company (Boots Appliances) hence 5*. The service at every level was excellent. The product itself looks good and does the job. On the downside, installing it was a nightmare. The installation guide reads like it was written by a dyslexic, I've got a bits left over that I don't know where they go and what they're for.
Boots Kitchen Appliances
Avoid Hotpoint company and their free frost fridge frezer
Avoid buying any free frost Hotpoint fridge freezers as the constant noise level is SO SO loud and humming most of the time that will drive you insane at home. The model I bought was Hotpoint FFAA52S_SI fridge freezers frost free in Silver. I contacted Hotpoint and Boots Kitchen appliances (where I bought it from) and both are simply not interested to hear about this issue and basically will do nothing so you stuck with so noisy appliance and disgusting customer service. Believe me when I say avoid they 2 companies ( Hotpoint and Boots Kitchen Appliances
First time order through them
Pretty good. I placed an order and it came on the day i specified which was within a few days - better than most companies. Although text info regarding delivery time changed which actually suited me - annoying the driver didn't answer when i was directed to them three times! That said - they did deliver it within the time they said via text/autophone update which was helpful and the driver did phone 15 mins before. All good.
Since this order i ordered a bulk order so hopefully they 'deliver' on this too! If so or not i'll update.
Beware if they send you a faulty item they won't replace it!!
I bought a washing machine and paid for connection. Waited in all day, machine arrived 4 hours after allotted time slot. I had forgotten to pay for disconnection service so I phoned customer service and they told me no problem the delivery men would disconnect it for me. The delivery men couldn't disconnect my old machine so I was left without machine until I could get a plumber who could. Few days without machine already! First wash machine was leaking. Phoned boots who refused to give me a replacement but instead told me to contact Samsung who told me I would wait between 1-2 days for someone to call me with appointment. Eventually engineer came out who told me they would need the machine taken from the small room I had it in, also it would have to be disconnected which I must do myself. He also told me though that it is the retailers duty to give me a replacement. (which I already knew, but had got fed up with numerous frustrating calls to them costing me precious hours in time. I had given in and agreed to go down the engineer route). I got back in touch with Boots, still no joy, so I am now in the process of dealing with trading standards. I have been a couple of weeks now with no washing machine which I am finding very difficult with a family to look after. I would recommend not buying from this company if anything goes wrong you will spend many frustrated hours trying to get them to do the decent thing.I had put my trust in them thinking it was the same company as boots on the high street but different company altogether.
Order Cancelled, No Reason Given
Totally mystified by the actions of this company. I ordered a tumble dryer for delivery the following day. The whole transaction was conducted without a hint of a problem. Credit card details taken; credit card security completed without a problem; email order confirmation received; and not one, but two texts received confirming the delivery date and details for my order. The next thing I receive is a voicemail to say my order has been cancelled, so I called the number provided was informed your order has been cancelled for security reasons! However, when I asked for the reasons, I was told they are unable to inform, at which point I had to inform them that I am entitled to any personal data they hold about me and asked to be put in contact with someone who would provide me with the information. I am currently waiting for the telephone call I am told I will receive tomorrow. We shall see? In any event, Boots have wasted my afternoon researching the product to meet our requirements and placing an order. Disgraceful customer service.
Deceitful
We Purchased an LG F14A7FDSA_WH washing machine after much research from what we thought was boots kitchen appliances but turned out to be ao.com. When we complained after a few weeks of the terrible performance of this washing machine, NEITHER company wanted to know.
We spent almost £600 and are left with a machine that leaves the washing wet, dirty and creased, EVERY TIME.
Brilliant service!
I've order a dishwasher, and from ordering to delivery gentlemen, my experience was wonderful!
Thank you, and especially the two men who delivered the dishwasher in the house, very polite, and helpful!
fantastic customer service
I ordered a range cooker and cooker hood this afternoon (Sunday) and within an hour they rang me to arrange a mutually agreeable delivery date, apologising for ringing on a Sunday. I then decided to add a fridge freezer and dishwasher and rang them at 6.30 pm on Sunday evening to see if I could add them without a further delivery charge. Again they were very helpful. This site was the cheapest even with a delivery charge and you earn advantage points.
Washing Machine Delivery
Took delivery of a washing machine today
driver and mate left washing machine in doorway blocking the lounge and was unable to close front door
they could have taken it round the back if they had bothered to look
very disappointed, had to wait the whole day for my neighbour to come back to help move it into kitchen
