Less than a week before Christmas!…
Less than a week before Christmas my oven broke, and I couldn't find the one I needed anywhere except Boots Appliances that would be able to deliver before the big day. Ordered, but made a mistake in the details and had to call customer service at 8pm. The guy I spoke to was incredibly helpful and friendly. I've never bought an appliance from them before but with good pricing, and great customer service I certainly will in the future!

Great service…
Amazing customer service from ordering right through to delivery. Particularly impressed with Mark and Skye who delivered my tumble drier. I forgot to book to have packaging removed and installation but Mark was more than happy to help out and did it for me. Covid protocol followed to the letter which was also impressive. Great service :)

Bit of a hiccup In the beginning but one of the customer service ladies her name was “Alex” was absolutely fantastic, so understanding and called back to make sure all was ok.. the delivery driver was from AO.com and he also was so friendly and polite. definitely recommend and would purchase from the company again. 10/10

Avoid - if you have stairs leading to your property.
Bought an integrated fridge freezer and the delivery drivers (2 men) refused to take it up the stairs. Appreciate we do have 5 flights of stairs. They failed the delivery and Boots rebooked the delivery including photographs of the stairs, notes to the new drivers regarding the number of stairs, etc. They called it a premium installation service so I assumed it was all in hand as they were fully briefed on the situation and it wasn’t a surprise for them.
I had to wait a further two weeks for the delivery for it to only happen again. Second time around, although the drivers were informed, they refused the delivery due to the steps.
So it’s been a month with no fridge freezer for my tenants, two days wasted for delivery that I waited for, and a lot of time on the phone to Boots. Given that, Boots are still happy to rebook the delivery and hope for the best for the third time!
The thing is, we have an integrated fridge freezer already upstairs, so it’s not like one hasn’t gone up there before.
Anyway, to summarise, Boots have no control over the drivers. I appreciate this is challenging with the current the shortage of drivers in the UK. However there needs to a solution as many of the properties in inner London are this and Boots supply bulky items. If they can’t get the products to the customer because of logistics then they should be stopping the customer from purchasing. More delivery information should be requested from the customer at the time of booking.
Edit - thank you for your response Boots. After ringing a few local companies, I managed to find one that had their own team that deliver and install. I had to pay a tiny fee and they had no issues removing the old fridge freezer and installing the new. I understand that it’s difficult for you to have your own dedicated teams. But it’s just a suggestion you could make to any of your customers experiencing the same issue.

Purchased appliances multiple times
I have purchased a few appliances from this company - a washing machine, a fridge and an oven. The customer service is amazing - courtesy call prior to delivery and call post- delivery to make sure everything is ok. The only annoying thing is the service rep try to sell insurance but they are not forceful if you say no. The delivery guys are brilliant; one time they installed my washing machine and took the old one free of charge. I will continue buying from them for sure

Above and Beyond
I cannot recommend this company enough .Hubby bought a oven from them thinking he had ordered the slide and hide as I have bad hands and a very small kitchen this was not the case he had bought a traditional instead . I rang boots the following day as I knew that I would just keep having accidents they were outstanding I explained to the advisor what had happened including that we had managed to destroy the packaging she calmly said that is no problem let me see if I have the right oven . When it seemed they hadn’t she apologised bless her and said they would call to collect it the next day and a full refund was in my account within one hour of collecting. I will definitely be using this company again whenever possible.

Dinted fridges
How Many times does it take to receive an un-dinted fridge, 3 times.
Twice a new fridge was delivered dinted, plus drivers wear no masks and walk on your carpets in dirty shoes.
3 rd time lucky this week hopefully!
Thank you for your response but it’s about 4 months later… the fridge is great thanks, but we all have busy lives and don’t have time to receive 3 fridges in 2 weeks. I get it sometimes it happens.

Purchased a washing machine just under 8 months ago, in which time it developed various faults and I was unable to get anywhere when trying to contact the manufacturer, so I called Boots since they sold it to me.
Within 5 minutes the call agent I spoke to agreed what had happened was not acceptable and they would exchange the machine, the whole process was straightforward and simple. Very happy customer here!

Guys turned up to deliver to deliver our new washing machine and remove the old one. First thing the delivery man said was that our old washing machine would not come out of the hole….which of course it would. Then he measured the hole only to inform me that the washing machine i had ordered would not fit (despite me measuring it multiple times and checking the size specifications online). I never even saw the new washing machine it did not come off the delivery truck. Then i got an email confirming delivery and that my account had been credited with over £700…for a service they had not been able to provide. After multiple prolonged conversations with customer service the lady i spoke to advised the delivery men had uploaded photos of their measurements and the washing machine i ordered must have the wrong size specifications online and she could not guarantee that if i ordered another through boots kitchen appliances that it would fit. And to top it all off A MONTH later i am still waiting for my refund of over £700! In the meantime i have of course had to pay for another new washing machine to be delivered - we used curry's - video chat very easy told him what we needed, he found it straight away, lovely customer service, next day delivery and v friendly delivery men. I will never use boots kitchen appliances again!

Bought a washing machine through boots. Customer service assistant rang to try & sell insurance policy. Paid for installation. Floor covered in water next morning. Spent 29 minutes to get through only to be on an ao.com. Call centre. Supervisor sent said fitting team had damaged fittings. Told to ring & complain - couldn’t get through to anyone. So frustrated I decided best thing to cancel order & get washer collected. Waited in again for collection team who couldn’t collect because pipe damaged! We have had to organise our own plumber because ao.com didn’t have one. We have to wait in again for another team to come & collect. What a waste of time & still no washing machine. Absolutely no acknowledgement of inconvenience & shocking service- don’t use boots appliances.

Thanks for your response. I have not received any money to pay for the plumber to repair the damage done & I find your response very misleading. I would ring in to find out what’s happening but I haven’t got the time to hold on for so long at the moment.

for Sunday delivery never showed had to re arrange for mid week and get a refund for my delivery charge. Haven't used Fridge Freezer yet as I'm in the process of new kitchen but having trouble getting advantage points, on website it says 14 days after delivery now I'm being told 28 days. I spoke to Boots advantage card agent who told me that Boots kitchen appliances is a third party but they can put points on straight away and she doesn't understand they are telling me it taking 28 days. When I spoke to agen at Boots kitchen appliances she said the 28 day wait was temporary but couldnt say when it would end, I told her nobody informed me it would be 28 days, I'm due over 8000 points. I only ordered with them because of points. Don't believe their website.

Bad customer care
Bad customer care, when delivery never showed I was assured I'd get it that night but no one came. On phoning the next day they said no deliveries in that area for another 5 days, even though I had waited a week already. Its been 3 weeks since delivered and still trying to get the advantage points. AVOID this company and go through someone else,save yourself stress.

Difficult contacting when things go wrong
I ordered a microwave from this company on the 17th Sept with delivery next day. On the 19th Sept I received a phone call to say they had no stock and was offered an alternative at a reduced, but higher. price. I agreed to think about it, went on line and found another oven at a more reasonable cost and higher spec. This was ordered and I phoned Boots to cancel. I was informed the waiting time for my call to be answered was extended, I think about 12 minutes. I ended the call and wrote to them using their online form. No reponse. I contacted again using the form, no response. This morning I phoned for a second time, was told the wait time was 23 minutes and held on. After 7 minutes and 49 seconds the call was disconnected at their end. All I want is my money back.

After payment if u need something from them or contact them, NEVER HAPPEN!!!
They have a phone number, but there has any email address for customer service. If u need contact them, there has kind of message- we will check and within 24 hours we reply bla bla...I sent more than 5times after my washing machine delivery they never answer. They like scamm. Just using big company name -Boots name is a reliable for me- but their customer service is 0%.

Having been using this company so many…
Having been using this company so many times and spent thousands pounds without any issue. Yes, they are actually the rebrand of AO but I was given boots points which seems a little more extra bounus.
Delivery teams are good the only issue is the estimate time not accurate, my time was changed from 11am to 2pm today. I don't need to take whole day off just to wait for delivery if it's more accurate.

Ordered a Bosch dishwasher for delivery…
Ordered a Bosch dishwasher for delivery 4 days later and it did not arrive! Waited in for 12 hours. Rang them and they said it had not been loaded onto the van, even though I had a message to say it had. I got it redelivered but all I got was the £30 delivery refunded, which would have been free anyway and even then only after having to phone again. AO are getting Boots a bad name.
I will not be using AO again in a hurry.
