Delivery & customer service hopeless..

Delivery & customer service hopeless... AO or not my fridge was scheduled and didn't turn up, i took a whole day off work for this and you cant get through to the driver or customer services on hold for over 20 mins to speak with someone and call goes nowhere... I tracked the delivery earlier my lorry had over 20 appliances to deliver in one day across south wales, was never going to happen. Avoid & use a local shop and pay a few quid more, i will next time!

If i could give a - 1 I would these…

If i could give a minus 1 I would these lot are worse than useless, they use AO to supply thier goods and AO are equally as useless, it's taken me 4 hours of listening to musac on the end of the phone to cancel my order and I eventually have succeeded, don't touch them if you value your sanity

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!! Time wasters driver and unprofessional!!!!
Ordered a new fridge and asked that the old one to be recycled and taken with the order!!
The day of delivery they brought the new ine and told me we cant take the old one as we dont have place in our van!! Which is unreasonable as they just took out the new one!!! And i has to be mentioned before!!!
Nobody bothered to call me to rearrange another pick up
I called and and re arranged for the second time, the next day the driver called at 7am and he told me he is 10 min away!!! Which wasent convenient as i was promised 30 min to 1 hour call notice!! And he didnt want to wait wnen i told him iam in my way!!!
And again for the last time tofay the 4th day!!! Showed up 40 min earlier and left!!!

Bought a SHARP tumble dryer which…

Bought a SHARP tumble dryer which started to get a burning smell. This is NOT BOOTS but AO. Long wait times on phone fobbed off with manufacturer who is taking a MONTH to come. Bought this as we thought it was SHARP, but is badge engineered. Existing drier replaced was the same model as Grenfell, which was not checked after a year. Not using AO again. AVOID.

Bad decision

My washing machine broke a few weeks ago and they told me the machine would be delivered on 11th August and now say there is a delay until the 2nd of September. This is a massive inconvenience as I would have just ordered it elsewhere

Shouldn't a new oven be easy

Bought a new oven and grill, the first wasn't compatible which was my fault so I spoke to the company who offered an alternative model. When the engineers arrived with the replacement that wouldn't fit either. The engineers passed all the problems to the office who said that they would sort it out. When I called after receiving a text they didn't seem to have an answer other than try another that could be delivered in 10 days. We have now been a month without a cooker so I asked for my money back. My money was refunded quickly and without any problems.

They want you to give them money when you complain!

Boots collected my oven and smashed the glass all over my driveway and my neighbours driveway! They didn't tell me there had been an accident and just drove off, we noticed it later and checked our CCTV. All Boots would do was offer me a £20 off a £50 spend, so just trying to get me to spend more money with them. This could have caused serious injury as we both have dogs and little ones and they just don't care!

Do not but from this appalling company

Bought a hoover dishwasher from boots kitchen appliances costing over £300 that has a fault after only 15months.
Boots are not interested in paying for the repair unless it has an inherent fault which the engineer has said is impossible to prove . This I assume boots know hence the condition that it has to be inherent . I am now starting small claims court action to recover my costs under the consumer rights act . I have bought at least 6 large electrical appliances from this company over several years but will never but from them again . Their customer care is appaling.

Excellent installation of Candy dishwasher

I recently purchased a new Candy dishwasher. Reasonable price, and extra for installation and collection of old device. The fitting guys turned up as planned and completed the job in about 45 minutes. They even tidied up my kitchen where I had previously made a mess of extracting my old machine. A very professional and courteous service. Thank you to Bogdan and his colleague, you were very good. Everything working well. Highly recommended.

Customer service, ABYSMAL. Do not use them.

Sent me a broken range cooker and then told me I couldn’t use the hob (which was working) as they’d be unable to resell it when it got returned to them. Offered me a replacement but their engineer wouldn’t be able to do it for over a week. Was told they could send one sooner and they’d pay for me to get it uninstalled and reinstalled. Sent them the invoices for the extra costs, they only want to pay a small percentage. £235 total and they will only give me £90. Despite them sending ME a defective item. Apparently I shouldn’t have used a real electrician or gas safe engineer, I should’ve used one of their engineer guys. Won’t pay for the takeaways I’ve had to buy either, and apparently they’re excessive in cost. Says the guy on the phone who lives up north, whilst I’m in London. Absolute disgrace of a company and I will NEVER use them again. They are awful.

NOT TRUE ..You will collect 4 Advantage Card points per £1 spent at Boots Kitchen Appliances

In 2017 I bought at Boots Kitchen Appliences a Beko dryer, they never added in the points on my advantage card. In 2019 I've bought another Beko dryer for my son, they again didn't add points on my advantage Boots card. I just find out it when shoping at Boots and gave my card to use my points convinced I add a lot points, when the lady said "you have £1.79 in the card". Tried to call them many times, never had anyone else on costumer service to sort it out, always talking to machines when it comes to Advantage Boots card Points. Not nice. I will not buy anything else in Boots. There's so many choises to shop around why going there!!

Ordered a TV via Boots Kitchen…

Ordered a TV via Boots Kitchen appliances- completed the delivery option adding explicit first floor location instructions. Delivery arrived and they refused to take item to the 1st floor claiming lack of insurance. After some expletives yelled by the driver, he courteously delivered the item. What is the point of Boots providing a delivery service if the delivery company refuses to follow the instructions?

Ordered a dishwasher for £229 for…

Ordered a dishwasher for £229 for delivery booked a day off work ,got a tradesperson to get the old one out and leave in the middle of the kitchen as requested the day before delivery was due and late afternoon someone from ao/boots appliances called to say that my dishwasher was not coming until the end of the month, no other dishwashers available in black on either site any sooner, other than ones that were more expensive. Although i do understand that in this case that there was a manufacturers issue it would have been more courteous to call sooner and not have me waste money and time. So needless to say a refund was requested but now will take up to 5 days in which to get my money back to purchase another can't say Im that impressed.

Phillips 8805 DAB radio - DO NOT USE

Ordered a Phillips 8805 DAB clock radio. Found upon delivery, unpacking and setup that the DAB signal was very poor (especially compared to my current Pure DAB). Notified Boots via email of my intention to return and they advised 24hrs later that as the item was now used they were prepared to refund original value less 20%, as the item was used. No recognition of the UK distance selling rights as they were hiding behind the fact that I had unpacked the radio and plugged it in. An interesting lesson for me and one that I will not repeat again. AVOID these people and DO NOT ORDER or be prepared for some very strange interpretations of the UK Distance Selling regulations.

I'm baffled by all these bad experiences.

I'm baffled by all these bad experiences. I've used Boots Kitchen Appliances for the last five or six white goods I've had installed, in London and in York. Their prices are reasonable, they've always delivered when they said they would, the delivery guys have always been helpful and cheerful, the people on the phone seem to know what they are talking about.

Had a freezer installed yesterday - smooth as you like.
(OK, first delivery on a Sunday after the clocks went forward was a bit painful, but oh well...) They couldn't take away the old one as it wasn't defrosted, so they had to leave it to be collected the next day. It hasn't happened, but one phone call (and I got through in less than a minute) and the cheery woman on the other end is getting it sorted out.

I think they are great. I know they are AO in disguise, but the prices are the same, and the Boots Advantage Card points are a useful bonus. I go to them every time, and I recommend them to everyone.

Don't buy from Boots appliances

Don't buy from Boots appliances. You will be constantly harassed by 'Hard Selling' sales people trying to sell you extended warranty. I said no to two different callers but still getting numerous calls daily!
