Bought a soundbar that was cheaper than most other sellers, also offered quick, cheap delivery. The only issue I have with Boots Kitchen Appliances is the incessant phone calls trying to sell me insurance post-delivery, I have blocked the number.
Save your sanity - avoid at all costs!
I have had the most horrendous issues with Boots Appliances. I purchased a gas cooker, which was condemned as unsafe by the manufacturer within the first month of ownership. Boots sent a replacement of a different make and model - as it was a much more expensive model they gave me a 50% contribution to the extra cost. However, they then proceeded to charge me a further connection & disposal fee which ate up virtually all their 'contribution'. The replacement cooker turned out to be not as described on their website, in that it is a dual fuel cooker with an electric grill, not a fully gas cooker as I had clearly specified several times. Boots response was to offer me a refund of the cooker cost and remove the cooker - which would have left me with no cooking appliance for a considerable amount of time - or wait for a suitable replacement to come into stock (could take many months due to the pandemic). Boots then offered me £20 goodwill gesture if I would keep the cooker. £20!!!!! Boots obviously need that money more than I do. As far as I'm concerned £20 is an insult. They've cost me loads of money and inconvenience having to buy a more expensive cooker, spending hours on the phone on my money, waiting in for four days for fitters, being injured by an unsafe appliance and now being stuck with a cooker which wasn't as described and which I don't like and they clearly don't care one iota about good customer service. I find it very hard to articulate just how disgusted I am with them

AWFUL service from this inefficient company who couldn't care less about their customers. DON'T USE this incompetent company. I've still got a faulty fridge freezer six months after delivery: Boots after care service is nothing short of abysmal. NEVER AGAIN.

Awful service
Awful service. Ordered a small item on Saturday and delivery was on Tuesday. Wanting to look at it again on line on Sunday but it is out of stock now. Phoned to see if I was still getting my item as it is now showing as out of stock. Was told I had ordered it whilst systems had been up-dating so they would not be able to tell me until the following day if I was getting it or not and if I was getting it, it would probably not be on Tuesday. Phoned back later on Sunday to cancel order as it was a birthday present for someone and I wanted it know if and when I was getting it. Was told could not cancel yet as there was no tracking available from delivery company. Could cancel the next day. Phoned on Monday - still unable to cancel but was assured item would not be sent out. Tuesday - received text message and email saying order had been cancelled. Tuesday afternon item was delivered despite being cancelled. Delivery driver could not take it back. Had to phone Boots again to ask about returning item as no details or returns label provided with the item. Advised to put it back in the same package, no label or anything needed, and someone would collect it on Friday. Was told I would receive a text message with a 4 hour time slot for the collection. No text message received so I stayed in the whole day Friday but no-one came to collect it. They are obviously not bothered about getting items returned. No further contact from Boots or AO. I am not phoning them again because I am sick and tired of talking to people who obviously have no clue what they are doing.
Terrible refund experience, don't order from this company!
Purchased a pair of apple airpods from the website for my partner and decided I wanted to get another model so immediately decided to cancel. There was no option to cancel easily on the site or email so you're forced to call in. This is where my terrible adventure with boots kitchen appliance starts.
One the first call, the rep mentions they need to get confirmation from their shipping provider that they will send the product back to them before providing a refund. I said, that's weird, the shipping company shouldn't even have my order yet, I just placed it 5 min ago. But ok, I was told I would get a call back to confirm the need for a refund and I'd be on my way.
No call back, 2 days passes.
I call boots again and they say the same thing, now the shipping company has my product in transit and they need confirmation that it will be sent back.
Another day passes, I get an email from DPD that the item has been delivered, but its a picture of the product at the warehouse. I'm thinking this is great, they know exactly where the product is and can finally request to have it sent back and I can be on my way.
Wrong. No calls from boots. Another day or two passes.
Call again for boots. They say they've been trying to reach my via phone, but have been using an incorrect international number. On each of the previous calls, I gave the specific number to reach me on and in every instance they somehow failed. I was even promised personally by the rep that they would call me on the provided number but failed to do so.
Now I'm requesting a resolution through Paypal while another rep has promised to give me a call back tomorrow.
Hopefully I will get my money back sometime this year but who knows at this point.
Don't bother with this company, they will give you the runaround and waste a lot of your time. Oh, and I purchased my AirPods from Amazon and had them arrive the next day.
Samsung fridge freezer RB34T652ESA from the easy online purchase to the…
From the easy online purchase to the delivery made on time and as planned;the experience of replacing / updating our fridge freezer was seamless. I originally ordered removal of our old appliance but two days before the planned date it found a new home and it took just a two minute phone call to the friendly Leigh to re-organize the order. The delivery guys rang an hour before they arrived and were very polite and efficient and gone within 10 minutes of arrival with our new fridge freezer plugged in and perfectly positioned. Last issue to deal with was the next morning when before I forgot I thought I will register appliance for warranty. Wasn't 100% sure what to do but a quick phone call to Boots Kitchen Appliance office and some helpful advice from Lisa and all was good plus a copy of the invoice emailed for reference. Would not hesitate to recommend.
Great prices, convenient delivery & Advantage points too
Purchased a hob, oven and microwave online. Received money off the stated price using the voucher code on the website and chose my preferred delivery date. Delivery was as promised with courteous drivers they use AO.Com. Received £96 worth of Advantage points too. Fortunately have not had to use the after-sales service so am unable to comment on this.
Not possible to actually buy anything here
I tried to buy several times online but the payment was repeatedly refused despite trying several different cards and PayPal. So I called Boots to place the order on the phone, they had difficulty with that. So they asked me to be on hold while they looked into it. 40 minutes later nobody had come back to me, so I hung up and bought the item elsewhere without any problem at all. It was not an issue with my cards, but with Boots/AO

I ordered my new TV on Sunday morning and it was delivered to my door at 7.30am on Monday.
The AO Delivery guy rang me prior to delivery too.

My washing machine had exploded inside and I contacted boots which I think was actually AO.com and the gentleman I got called abbas(I apologise if this is not how his name is spelled ) was lovely and could not be more helpful to me even though the actually company who made the machine Beko were abrupt and unhelpful, Abbas new my situation with having a severely disabled child and made sure I wasn’t waiting for a new machine. He went way over and above I’m so grateful for him today, he is a great representation of what a customer service employee should be. He has made my Xmas and new year. Thank you
I purchased a Hotpoint Tumble Dryer…
I purchased a Hotpoint Tumble Dryer from Boots Kitchen Appliances. Delivery was very late to the time slot given. Upon inspection, I found that they had delivered an old model of machine and not the latest. I decided to take up my option of a 10 day return and was given a date for then to collect. I rang this morning to get a time slot for picking up and was told morning. By 2pm, there was no sign of the pick up. I rang again to be told that the time slot had moved to between 3 and 5pm but it could be as late as 7pm. I explained to the representative that I accept that there can be delays, but could they at least text me (as they do when delivering) to tell me that. The answer that I got was "we do that for deliveries but it is not policy to do it for collections". Incidentally, I do not get my refund until they have the product back from where it originally came from and then 7 - 10 days after that. I will not be using this company again.
Ordered a Fridge in March and still not resolved the damage
I placed an order in March, the item arrived damaged. I called Boots they said I had to call the manufacturer, so I called them. They then told me I had to speak with Boots as it was a delivery issue. So I called back Boots who then again told me I should speak with the manufacturer. We went back and forth for a while and I told the advisor to call the manufacturer themselves because they kept sending me back. Finally they told me in fact yes it was up to boots to resolve. After spending a week trying to get this resolved, he said he would call me back. He never did. I called a week later and the advisor said they can either issue me a £70 refund or replace the item for free. As the fridge was damaged I wanted it replaced. They said they could arrange that but only to the door. I told them I have no way of bringing in the item myself, so he suggested I wait until the lockdown was over and to contact them again. I did that, they said I would get a call back, this never happened. I sent an enquiry through their website, no response. I am so tired of chasing them to sort out an issue that wasn't my fault. It's December now!

I’ve used these people a few times. Generally ok but today’s performance on delivery is dreadful. Supposed to give me a slot after 7 am on the day, but no text message yet and it’s 5pm. Don’t know if they are coming or not.
If you are not going to do something, then don’t say you are.

Cannot fault , After been let down badly by another online appliance company who couldn’t fulfil the order I made in October, I ordered the same appliances on 16th November for delivery 20th; communication was spot on , received my delivery bang on time by two very polite and efficient delivery guys thank you .
