Hoover fridge freezer

We had a Hoover fridge freezer delivered on time and undamaged on the 27th Oct. When we reversed the doors the seals leaked causing the fridge and freezer to ice up. We informed Boots who suggested contacting Hoover. An engineer arrived on the 9th Nov. and sorted the problem but charged us £64.50. We complained about this to Boots and they refunded the money we had been charged by Hoover. Be aware that reversing fridge freezer doors may require the seals to be warmed and re-seated. Overall a good service that we cannot fault.

poor delivery experience

I have purchased a American style fridge freezer from Boots Kitchen Appliances which is now powered by AO.com. I have not had a chance to use it yet as the delivery guys just dropped the whole package on my kitchen floor and refused to unpack it for me. They insisted it was because when I put the order in I did not select the unpacking service. Even after I mentioned to them there's no such a selection for me to choose whether I would like to have the unpacking service when I placed the order online, they still refused to unpack it for me. They told me I did not purchase the fridge freezer from them and their job is just delivering it which they did. From the minute I saw them outside my door, they complained all the way through how heavy the fridge freezer was and how unwilling they were to deliver it into my kitchen. I told them I would call Boots Kitchen Appliances to find out what I should do next as there's no way I could unpack this heavy fridge freezer by myself and it never happened to me before whenever I purchase a big kitchen appliance, they told me this was what they normally do and even if I called Boots Kitchen Appliances, they would not come back and unpack it for me. So be aware if you do not choose their installation/connection service, there is a possibility they would not unpack it for you. This is a heavy and quite expensive (nearly £3k) American style fridge freezer. It is not like a dish washer that we can manage to unpack by ourselves easily. So I am not sure if the product is good or not yet as I cannot use it still. I am very disappointed with the delivery service I had.

Very disappointing is now very satisfied 😃😁

I ordered a freezer which was scheduled for delivery yesterday.
No delivery and website unable to update on delivery status.
Waited until 5pm then rang the number given to contact drivers several times but on each occasion was cut off.
Emailed CEO but as 11.30 today no contact from anyone.
Eventually after several attempts and hanging on the line I did manage speak to a young lady who thankfully was very polite and helpful which was the only reason I agreed to rearrange another delivery.
Having emptied my old freezer and dragged it out of the house I was not impressed having take it back in and repack it at 8pm.
A simple phone call would have saved a lot of stress as well as a lot of food that had to be discarded.
Very disappointing for such a big company.

do not buy

Today I have received a fridge freezer from this company
it has a huge dent in the front
I have emailed them and heard nothing back
I am currently on the phone and have been told there is a 51 minute waiting time
I thought boots were a reputable company
I am now without a fridge
There is a 14 day refund policy ?
What would happen if I did not have the money in the bank to buy a replacement
I am disgusted, is there no quality control or do the people who handle the products care ?
I am fuming, I have had to cancel a food delivery order
And as so many people are doing online shopping I will have to get a taxi to do some shopping as I do not drive
still on the phone

Ordered from Boots as Currys had messed…

Ordered from Boots as Currys had messed me around for 2 months delivering dented cookers. Boots were super fast, delivery booked for two days after ordering, turned up promptly and guys who delivered were really helpful and friendly.
They let me unpack to check for damage, driver spotted a tiny dent on the side and he rang the company and sorted it immediately. Top marks Boots aka AO.

I bought a Zanussi induction cooker and I am so super pleased with it!

Definitely recommended and will shop here again.

Amazing customer service, thank you

I have already recommended several friends to this online site because of their excellent customer service. I bought a microwave and when it was unpacked realised it was damaged. Their was a big dent on the bottom which had probably occurred in the factory. We rang the customer service and was told that DHL would collect the old one and deliver a new one in just over a days time. We were also told we didn't need to repackage or label it as the delivery driver would attend to this (we repackaged it anyway). The replacement arrived as promised. It is a rare thing to get such excellent customer service in today's day and age, as someone who has been through many stressful experiences.

I would not even give one star

I would not even give one star. They offer promotions like 20 pounds boots points for buying and never did. Despite calling 10 times and saying someone would get back to us but never did.

Disappointed

Hotpoint FDD9640K_BK washer dryer

My washer drier started leaking on rinse and drying cycles just after the warranty was over. No issues with filter and inlet hose. Just as you expect that the machine was waiting for its 1yr warranty to be over.

Terrible service

Terrible service. Waited all day for delivery, arranged time kept getting bumped and then at 20.04 I got a message saying delivery had failed and to phone them to rearrange. No apologies, no reason given.

The next day I rearranged, and a specific time slot was agreed for Monday 12-5. Again nothing arrived. I will be cancelling my order tomorrow and asking for a full refund. Unless you like having your time wasted, Avoid!

The staff I spoke to in customer service were very pleasant, so that was something I suppose.

Faulty dishwasher Beko

I ordered an inbuilt dishwasher Beko which had brilliant reviews on the Boots website. I regret this purchase so much! From the day one it started leaking. A so-called engineer came to fix it, it stopped leaking, then started leaking again, then an ‘engineer’ fixed it then it started leaking again and again and again.... Boots are saying it is responsibility of Beko to repair/replace the dishwasher, Beko are saying that the dishwasher is reparable so they won’t replace it! It is a pure nightmare. Never buy Beko, never buy in on Boots Appliances!

Avoid at all costs

Avoid at all costs. Next day delivery was 6pm three days later. Tracking imprecise. Delivery men rushed in unmasked and dumped a packaged fridge-freezer in the middle of the kitchen. Refused to unpack and install. Behaved like stroppy teens. Told me they were not meant to install and when I insisted they were and asked how on earth I was meant to do it by myself they then informed me that that their manager told them not to because they were running late. Eventually they decided to install and in their careless rush heavily dented the side. Boots need to seriously rethink the company they are using to “power” their appliances dept i.e AO Retail Ltd.

Ordered fridge freezer due for delivery today no tracking available had two phone calls from boots trying to sell insurance for fridge freezer asked why no tracking info was informed because of covid. Rang to ask if order was going to be delivered was then informed it was not available and hadn't been in stock when ordered. Totally useless company took the money knowing they couldn't forfill the order . AO.com actually are the supplier of the goods but have zero idea of customer service or telling the truth so beware unless you want to wait on the phone for 50 minutes to be told they never had the item to sell in the first place. Total morons and crooks

Let down on day of delivery

I ordered a washing machine around 2 weeks in advance of the date of delivery. On the day before I got a text saying I'd get a time slot sent from 7am the next day. The next day I got a voicemail at 9:30 saying there is a delay and they won't get stock for another 2 weeks. There is no way they didn't know about this before then. What was then worse was when I called up to cancel the order, the automated message said my order was out for delivery - absolutely shambolic.
Certainly will go with someone more reliable like Curry's in future!

The clumsiness of BOOTS

We made a mistake buying a fridge from Boots and buying this fridge freezer was a nightmare to us. At the buying phase there were no problem. But then the problems started. I specifically state that they need to carry it to my flat and there are stairs. At first delivery appointment they did not even show up. At second appointment they came, and they said that they cannot take the refrigerator to the flat and they went back. At the third appointment they came, and they tried to take the fridge to the flat. I said TRIED but they COULDNT BE ABLE TO. They DROPPED the fridge, they damaged all the apartment walls, they damaged the fridge and most importantly they BROKE THE APARTMENT GLASS. They could have hurt themselves or anyone else. This was a complete disaster. My children could get hurt. I called them and explain the situation they said they will change the refrigerator and came to my flat 4th time. The team came said that they cannot take the damaged one and they again left my flat. At the fifth time they finally be able to take the refrigerator away from my flat.

I want to Express that I am terribly disappointed this experience. The journey began at the June and because of the clumsiness of the BOOTS I didn’t have a fridge until September. We are a family with 3 children, and we did not have a fridge in summer days. Also, we waited all Sunday at home because of them. At the end I asked them to pay for the glass and the walls and they are not accepting this. This is the last point. I trusted the name of The BOOTS and I am really disappointed by the way of your doing things.

I would like to say that I bought a refrigerator from somewhere else and it is an american style fridge and I had no problem with the delivery. This is your clumsiness and I am waiting for them to take responsibility.

If I could give them no stars i would. Do not order from boots I have a broken fridge freezer and cooker bought at the same time. I have had engineers out to tell me its broke yet they claim case closed waste of space
