Just spoke with Omar, he was amazing, listened to me and explained everything - so good that I will be ordering again - such an asset to the company!!

Worst purchase journey ever
I bought a dishwasher from Boots (who are essentially one of the shopfronts for AO.com). I should have known right from the start how it would go - an extra £30 for installation, an extra £10 to book literally any delivery slot... the money-grab is obvious from the start.
I live on a narrow street, which is often made worse by parked cars, so I clearly noted this on the delivery instructions where the website prompted me to do so.
And yet, when they called at 6.50am on the Saturday to deliver the dishwasher, they seemed surprised that they couldn't fit a 7.5tonne lorry down my street. They cancelled, and about an hour later a man called to say he'd send a smaller vehicle on Sunday. At 6.45am on Sunday morning, I had another confused call telling me they'd sent the biggest lorry again. We then rearranged for delivery on Monday.
After waiting well past the 3pm-7pm timeslot, it was obvious at 10pm that AO was not going to deliver for a third time. So I called them next day and was offered a Thursday slot and - how generous - they wouldn't charge me extra to pick my own timeslot on Thurs.
It's now Thursday, and the dishwasher has arrived... only the delivery driver had not been informed we had paid for installation, so he refused to do it. And now I have a fully packaged dishwasher sat in the middle of my kitchen floor. I can't move it on my own, and after speaking to AO, there has been no resolution.
This is the worst customer journey I've ever experienced. Not only will I never buy from AO.com again, I will actively tell anyone who will listen to avoid AO at all costs.
You may think it won't happen to you, and you may think the slightly lower price (until they add on all the extras) is worth it. Don't be fooled. This company is the worst, their service is the worst, and you can do far better at literally any of their competitors like Currys, John Lewis, Tesco, Appliances Direct, Amazon and more.
DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM BOOTS APPLIANCES OR AOL RETAIL LIMITED
I paid for a new cooker and installation in March. I was left with a faulty installation that was leaking gas and was subsequently cut off by my supplier. The customer service was appalling and I had to threaten suicide to get the cooker removed. I am still not reconnected, my landlord and gas supplier say this is the responsiblity of Boots Appliances. Boots only suggestion was that I pay someone else to reconnect, then claim back the money from them. I have had to buy an electric cooker from another company. I have heard nothing to my requests to be reconnected. I have tried the website messaging service, and in writing.
Avoid, delivery never showed up
Avoid, ordered a washing machine, delivery was due between 12.30 and 4.30, 5.30pm now and no machine. This biggest problem is that the tracking app does not work, you cannot speak to the driver as they state due to them not answering and when you try to contact boots for an update it made me wait for 40 minutes before cutting me off. It's a absolute joke of service considering we had the old machine disconnected the day before as we paid for the recycling service. If boots are going to put their name to something they need to insure the service works, I wish I had stuck with John Lewis after this issue.
Fridge Freezer delivered on time
Fridge Freezer delivered on time. Happy with product.
Paid £20 for removal of old f/freezer. They couldn't take it away because of ice in fridge and had electric goods on van. Said would rearrange collection.
Nothing happened for 2 wks. After emailing and trying to phone, to no avail. I searched and came across this number. 01204 672400.
This is AO phone number in Bolton, which runs "Boots Kitchen Appliances." That is reception who put me through to bookings. After 9mins, they answered and booked to collect the next day. Hopefully they do??
Hope this helps everyone.
Update: Collected next day.
Left a 93 year old lady in a flooded kitchen!
I arranged for a Hotpoint washing machine to be delivered and installed for my 93 year old mother. £40 extra was paid for a next day delivery (today) but sadly it was the last delivery of the day at after 7pm. The men were in a huge rush to fit the machine and they left it running on a test programme. An hour later my mother was devastated to find her kitchen flooded with water and phoned me hysterically crying that she didn’t know what to do. A family member had to travel to her house and save the day by connecting the machine correctly. The men in their rush had reused the old connector hose and not replaced the washer so it leaked everywhere. How dare they leave a 93 year old lady on her own to deal with that kind of stupid error. She was on her hands and knees mopping up the water until someone could get to her and help. She is now terrified to use the machine! Unbelievably bad service. Boots you are a disgrace and I will be calling first thing tomorrow to get the delivery and connection charges refunded at the very least!
Update: Just need to say that the lady I spoke to at Boots customer service was very kind and helpful. It doesn’t change the comments in my review or the star rating, but it does put Boots in a better light.
APPALLING - would give zero if possible
APPALLING, DO NOT USE.
From beginning to end the process was a nightmare.
Having had problems with their 'billing' over the weekend the payment had not gone through for the fridge freezer. Each call you make there is a minimum wait time of 45 minutes to speak to anyone. When I reached them again to rebook the delivery I'd missed the deadline for the date I'd secured earlier and delivery had to be a day later (when I'd rescheduled my meetings to accommodate the amended delivery).
I paid £100 in addition to the cost of the fridge freezer to have the old one de-installed and new one installed.
This does not cover the plumbing though (unless there is a valve on the old one, which I was told by a sarcastic 'customer services' advisor is 'usually' the case.
I am now faced with a bill from an emergency plumber. If I could provide zero stars I would.
APPALLING, WILL NEVER USE AGAIN.
I ordered a cooker for my…
I ordered a cooker for my grandaughter. It was £288 + £10 delivery. I got confirmation of receipt of the payment and delivery date. A few days later I went to the website and found that there was my order still in my basket awaiting payment so I emptied the basket.Today on viewing the website I was informed that my order (now £309) had been cancelled because it was out of stock. When I tracked my delivery it said that it was ongoing and would be delivered on the agreed date (5th September). I now have no faith in it being delivered.
Poor products, terrible customer service
Boots should be ashamed of all the dreadful reviews but, following my experience, they seem not to care.
I bought a fridge freezer through Boots Kitchen Appliances which failed after 14 months. Looking through the paperwork I found a warranty document stating the appliance had a 24 month warranty. The repair centre, I called, said this was a mistake and the appliance was out of warranty.
I tried phoning Boots customer services and each time was told there was a 45 minute waiting time to speak to someone (this is, in my opinion, a joke for a customer service department). I emailed three times, via their contact link on their website, politely asking for a call back - I have yet to receive a phone call or an email.
Boots have been a High Street retailer for as long as I can remember and I think it's a shame for them to put their good name and reputation to such poor quality goods. The fact they are prepared to keep their customers waiting 45 minutes on the phone is shameful and the fact they can't be bothered to return emails is unacceptable.
The 'Powers that be' at Boots should take a look at some of these reviews and decide what kind of company they want to be and, until they do, I will be staying well away!
Wished I'd read the Trustpilot reviews…
Wished I'd read the Trustpilot reviews before ordering from Boots Kitchen Appliances. Poor service.
I think Boots as a Company should review their relationship with AO.com. Boots themselves have a trustworthy reputation, but that is put in jeopardy dealing with this outfit !
The Beko fridge freezer product seems to be working fine, but it was the delivery that was pretty poor.
The main problem seems to be that Boots, AO.com and Delivery Logistics all work off different hymn sheets and don't know what each other's terms and conditions are regarding delivery !
Firstly to be fair ( that's the two star bit ) I did get a text on the day giving me a 4 hour window. But as was 10 mins away from the house, I called the driver to ask him to confirm he would call me when he was on his way........... got his call .... outside the house !!
They had already taken the fridge freezer up the stairwell to the flat..... thereby blocking my passage to the front door to open it !
The two delivery men weren't wearing masks ! As I'm elderly, I asked them to wear them.....had to go back to AO.com van to get them. Don't think they were that pleased, as they then refused to bring it into the flat, blaming covid . Nothing on the Boots website to say that. Boots specifically say they deliver to the room you want. AO.com........... Oh that's all change now !!!!!!! I also paid extra to get the old one removed, So I decided to call the 0334 number on the Boots order sheet, which can only direct you to the driver !!!!!!!!!!!!!! what's the point of that.
So eventually after an argument with the driver and pointing out the Boots order information they grudgingly obliged after phoning their office.
They even said we work for "delivery logistics and are nothing to do with AO.com or Boots !!! They next refused to unpack the new one to allow me to inspect it as it says you can do on the Boots order sheet !!!!!!
It's just a joke.
I suppose the moral of the story here is .......... if you are wanting good service, pay a bit more and buy from your local appliance shop. At least they know you can go in and give them grief if the get it wrong, so are less likely to get it wrong !
Don’t do it.
Don’t do it.
You cannot get through on the phones.
The service is terrible.
They lie about installations and charge you for the pleasure.
Impossible to get in contact
Impossible to get in contact. They were supposed to call/text to confirm the delivery slot but never did, so with my luck I missed the delivery by ten minutes. The only way to book redelivery is by calling their awful phone number. I've been waiting for 50 minutes now and on the second loop of their music tape.
DISGUSTING AFTERCARE AND CUSTOMER CONTACT.
I have just been reading reviews about Boots Kitchen Appliances and wish I had read them sooner as so many others say. I have had no problem with my items that were also delivered on time and intact.
The only reason I ordered was so I could get the Boots points on my card. I have emailed twice with no reply, I have phoned and waited for over 20 minutes only to be cut off I have filled in the online email form twice and also no reply.
I could t myself lucky as all I am quibbling about is my points unlike so many others with appliance problems and refunds.
This company should be reported to the ombudsman they are selling under false representation by saying they give Boots points. One place says 12-14 days another said 20 days and another 30 days after purchase but it looks like they never apply them.
I order a TV by phone on the 23rd…
I order a TV by phone on the 23rd August. Delivery was made as promised today. I still have no invoice for my purchase nor have any points yet been put on my Advantage account. I have called several times and refuse to wait for 30 minutes to speak to an agent. Awful service
ABSOLUTELY DIABOLICAL AVOID AT ALL…
ABSOLUTELY DIABOLICAL AVOID AT ALL COSTS! ordered a washing machine that was broken when it arrived. 2 days of trying to get through on the phone then had to wait on call to manufacturer who agreed to exchange for new without sending engineer. Delivery booked. Waited and tracked all day. Supposed to arrive between 12 and 5. 6.55pm came up as failed delivery. ANOTHER 2 hours on the phone was told earliest delivery another week wait time. CANCELLED order requested full refund. COLLECTION OF BROKEN APPLIANCE booked for saturday. NO SHOW. Booked for sunday. Phonecall 8am to say is it ok to come tomorrow. Advised absolutely not. Still waiting for refund almost 3 weeks later and have had to fund another machine from elsewhere. NO BOOTS points either and no apology. Machine stuck in disabled mothers living space so shes slept on small sofa for 2 weeks as unable to pull bed out. Disgusting. Will be taking further for compensation.
Racist Delivery Man!!!
If only I read the reviews here first, I have had the most stressful experience today from boots appliances when my american fridge freezer was delivered. The first man came and checked with a tape measure the side entrance saying we cannot bring the appliance all the way through as they are not allowed to remove packaging, i agreed that they leave it by my inside garden gate. The second man came out, took a look at me and straight away in a very aggressive approach refused to drop it off inside and instead left it on my drive ignored me and drove off leaving me to bring it in 9 metres into my house with nothing but my hands!!! I felt intimidated and very upset as I believe this was because he was RACIST as the first man was willing to trolley it in with no problems. The website says they should have face masks and gloves on but both didn't. I will be getting intouch with customer services if they ever pick up the phone. Worst experience with a delivery ever, I didn't expect to be treated like that especially after paying £1000.
**Have tried calling customer services but as everyone here says no answer even after 55 minutes on hold. I think everyone should report to local trading standards as this companies dealings are unacceptable.
Worse place
Worse place. Don't buy they makes me wait nearly 2 month.too many time apologies. Never turned my order.
BAD BAD BAD
BAD BAD BAD, this is not a 1 star i would like it to be minus if it were at all possible.
Unable to communicate with this company, cannot get through on the phone, they never respond to emails, i only wish i looked at these reviews beforehand, what i am more disgusted about is that it is part of AO.COM which i will think twice about purchasing from them in the future. what ever you do AVOID THIS COMPANY unless you want to add your bad review to this growing list
Worst communication ever!
I placed an order for £618, got a confirmation email, 2 days later received a text advising they had tried to contact me regarding issue with payment, untrue. Tried to call number given...54 minute wait, tried again....42 minute wait - needless to say I didn’t either time. Used their website email form twice - no response. It’s the worst website for communication that I have ever come across. Won’t ever use them again 🤬🤬🤬
No issues at all.
I ordered a chest freezer that I have been searching for since February. Boots had it in stock and at a reasonable price. I paid for shipping, nominated day, and then the day after, I read reviews. I was expecting it to not be delivered or when delivered it would either be damaged or a return. Low and behold, it arrived when they said it would, brand new and in an undamaged box by a very nice and cheerful chap. I don't think many people write reviews if everything turns out ok, but it did for me, so well done.
Non trustable company - Avoid
Ordered dishwasher to get it delivered in a few days as mine got broken, a day before delivery they send me an email stating that the model I chose is out of stock (on the day when I placed the order it was in stock according website), and offered similar model from another manufacturer, I refused it because I wanted particular brand, then they offered more expensive model and 70 pounds discount, which is increased total sum by 30 quid, and delivery after two days. I agreed with the offer and expected my dishwasher delivered on the agreed day. On the delivery day I've tried to contact customer service to find out the delivery slot, however only option was to speak with the driver, and after choosing this option you end up with nothing. Of course my order wasn't delivered. Next day I canceled the order and fingers cross that I receive my money in reasonable time.
Also want to share customer service number which one is answered with no delays, so hope it will help to deal your issues with this non trustable company.
