Put my car in for a service and MOT and was very surprised when I picked it up Chris had given me a free wash and valet! Will definately use them again

After realising my car was overdue a service, I booked my car in with Ash who fit me in last minute. He had the car ready at the time he told me and the car was clean and ready to go. Would recommend this garage again.

Would like to thank a salesman at Border City Autos, Darren was very helpful and due to changes in my circumstances I had to trade down. I am over the moon with the car I have bought and him and the manager Chris made the whole experience seamless. When I picked my car up Chris came out and thanked me for buying my car from them.

We've just collected a car and driven it 300 miles home and are absolutely delighted with it. Chris did a great deal changing the Cam belt as a form of discount and we just paid for an extra (the Tow Bar) and the car was immaculately valeted for collection. As Chris was away, Derek dealt with us on arrival and paperwork was efficiently and quickly dealt with in a friendly and helpful manner. Derek showed us the 'basics' for the controls to get us on our way and even programmed my phone for Blue Tooth, as we're terrible luddites. Love the car and staff and would highly recommend this garage.

Friendly sales team and super quick service!

Came to view on the Monday and collected on the Wednesday afternoon.

When i went to view the focus I mentioned one tire was flat and looked worn out, was assured by the sales team it would be check over by the garage and will be MOT'd and the serviced.

I paid my deposit and come collection the vehicle was fully valet the tire was replaced and the MOT was done.

They showed me where the locking wheel nut was and gave me a introduction to the controls.

I will definitely be back.

I would like to give Border City Autos in Carlisle more stars because when we viewed the car they appeared very nice and didn’t pressure us to buy, however since we did purchase the car less than 1 month ago there has been (to date) 3 faults with the car. First was the clutch had an issue, the second was the air conditioning did not work. I got these fixed as this happened less than 24hrs after purchasing the car but more recently the front shock absorber has given way. They give you a 3 month warranty as standard but I took the extended 15 month warranty and guess what, it doesn’t cover the shock absorber. The 3 month warranty should cover it but they are not interested, don’t call you back, make excuse after excuse by saying “Lee (whoever that is) has got far too much work on” or “he will here in 10 minutes then he will call you”. I therefore have to pay for this myself. Unacceptable way to trade and how they will survive treating customers in this way is questionable. I won’t be back.
