My headphones are not working properly…
My headphones are not working properly only after half a year after purchase. The previous headphones I was wearing for almost 10 years. And it is literally impossible to contact their repair center. Somehow my warranty has expired after half a year after purchase, and there is no one I can contact and check, just robots and not helpful. I am so disappointed and will never buy Bose again.
extremely disappointed
Well, over the past 10 years I bought a lot of Bose products. Every one of them had their glitches even after the high and high quality things you buy in life are not as high quality. You may think they are they skip out on the important things like their pad how they fall apart and under a year, their pads are made out of synthetic products that fall apart they crack a pill and then there’s hardly a way to find Ways to get them fixed. They do other things like tweak the sound and how to block out different types of sound, but they do not spend any time on the quality to get merchandise are working with making him improved instead they look for ways to skip over things to sell it for a higher price. I would give one zero Incomplete
They had our professional F1 speakers…
They had our professional F1 speakers since August.
It's now November and they keep saying we will get an update in 5 days and then 5 days and so on..
as a result our church has been left with no sound and we had to hire speakers for months in the end. We ended up paying more than the cost of the speakers.
I really don't see the point in paying for such an expensive product when the moment you need them to deal with n issue they disapear
£449 Bose QC Ultra cracked inside its own case – refused fair repair despite evidence
I’ve always trusted Bose for build quality, which makes this so disappointing.
My Bose QuietComfort Ultra 60th Anniversary (Diamond White) headphones — bought for £449 — cracked inside their own official protective case after some light weight was placed on top. This caused the outer cup to split and a small internal ribbon cable to tear, leaving them completely dead.
I contacted Bose Support and was first quoted £349 for a replacement, then given a lower quote, and later told that the lower figure “was never offered.” I’ve kept screenshots of both quotes as proof.
Bose also told me they don’t repair headphones at all, yet they sell “official refurbished” QC Ultras for £289, which clearly come from repaired units. It feels unfair that loyal customers are charged nearly full retail instead of being offered a sensible repair or exchange — especially for damage that occurred while stored in the case Bose provides.
I’ve emailed support with photos and screenshots and hope this can be escalated properly.
I’d really like Bose to stand by the durability and service reputation that made me choose them in the first place.
Defective product
Defective product. Bose sent me a defective replacement, and then asked me to try to return the new product to Target (where I didn't even buy the product I have.) Terrible.
Outrageous customer service
I ordered the noise cancelling headphones, and the ear cushions split within 4 months. I contacted bose and an agent agreed finally to replace foc. The item was out of stock, so I had to contact them again a few days after. Then, after I contacted them again, I received an empty carry case!. I then contacted a third time, and was promised the correct ear cushions would be sent, but no confirmation email sent. I contacted for a 4th time to be told , they are now out of stock again, and won't be back in stock until December!
If I could give less than 1 star I would.
Outrageous that I have had to contact 4 times!. No email or notification to advise of delay. Apparently i will be sent the replacement when they come in in December, but I don't hold my breath.
Refused refund on 90 day moneyback guarantee
I returned the OpenEar headphones due to being worse quality than Shokz, on a 90 day moneyback guarantee. After many weeks I still had no refund, and no messages from Bose. Checking online I saw they closed my return without telling me. So I went to online chat:
Despite the tracked shipping showing the weight of the parcel at 1lb, proving the package was not empty on shipping, Bose tells me I sent them an 'empty package', and to resolve the issue, I just need to return the item.
This went in circles for weeks, they would not provide information on the UPS claim, and would not issue a refund. They kept redirecting me to the call centre (which was closed) and refused to give more information or a refund. Absolute breach of consumer rights.
Bose Earbuds
Bose Earbuds,
connecting problem, sometimes sound is not working and lot more. Don’t buy them you will get frustrated
An all-round poor experience
Received the Quietcomfort Ultra headset as a gift in 2023, The audio quality is very good, however for a $300 product at time of purchase, not as good as it should be. Not even headphones get full sized audio ports now, it seems, as well as coming with a low quality cable, it's clear bluetooth was the primary focus. The bluetooth function is also terrible. It can technically connect to a computer on it's own, however getting these headphones to work once connected is a problem in it's own right. If you go the route of connecting to a phone first, which is clearly what the designers, for some reason, intended, you'll have to deal with bose's app, which doesn't work at the best of times. Now your headphone's will refuse to connect to anything else until you press a stupid button hidden in a menu on the app. Once you have permission from your phone (the device you hate the most, that should be the one that needs permission from you to keep your headphones all to it's selfish lonesome.) to connect to your computer (the thing you actually wanted to connect to) you have a new problem. High quality audio is broadcast through [device name]-STEREO, however bose headphones broadcast on two frequencies at once, and windows (a problem in it's own right that I'll be ditching now that support has ended) really likes the low quality one, and will refuse to use the stereo channel, to fix this you'll spend an hour and a half googling different variations of "how to fix bose headphone audio bad??" until you eventually find a reddit post telling you that you have to go into the device settings and turn off "hands free telephony" and delete the bose-hands-free-ag-audio device or whatever and then maybeee it'll work. I was able to look past these problems because once they're working, if you don't mess with any of the buttons, they function well enough.
However, there is another problem. The faux leather holding the foam cushions has completely detached from the inner ring, making it very easy for the cushions to fall out. The metal hinges that allow the speakers to fold inward are anchored on plastic, making their material irrelevant, and they create a pinch point that catches my hair often and has pinched my fingers more than once. Most egregious of all is that after regular use at a healthy volume for both me and the speakers, they now crackle at less than half of their max volume, which is unacceptable for the price.
In short; Bose headphone's are faux fancy, have serious connectivity issues with anything that's not a phone (even then it was a fight getting them to connect to my samsung) and are designed to start falling apart after only a couple years of use.
Also you'll be getting your support from strangers on the internet because bose support is garbage, and just straight up lies.
Great sales experience
Surprised by the bad reviews her. I had an issue with my QC45 headphones and the CS was quick and efficient with the right resolution
Garbage build quality on a $400+ pair…
Garbage build quality on a $400+ pair of headphones. Ear cushions are falling apart after 14 months of VERY light use when working from home. Customer service here in Czechia is poor – they claim I bought the headphones from a non-authorised reseller (even though the product serial number is perfectly valid) and don’t apply for a free part replacement.
I bought a soundbar 900
I bought a soundbar 900, the sound was cutting a lot. Sent it back to Bose for repair service, came back broken, the box was torn and still have the same problem and can't get refund.
Their product service sucks!
I’ve been a loyal Bose customer for…
I’ve been a loyal Bose customer for years and own both the QC45s and the newer QC Ultra. Recently, I had a pretty disappointing experience with the QC Ultras’ ear pads. After about six months of just audiobook use, the ear pads wore out faster than I expected. I tried to stick with Bose-branded replacements, but the replacements arrived damaged, with foam padding coming out right out of the box.
When I contacted Bose support, I sent photos as requested. They agreed to replace them but made it clear it was a “one-time” courtesy, and I had to explicitly agree to that. The tone felt like they were doing me a big favor rather than standing behind their product. Unfortunately, the second pair of ear pads lasted only about a month before they started flaking apart too.
In the end, I got a third-party WC brand from Amazon overnight, and these seem to be much better quality. It’s frustrating because I’ve always trusted Bose quality, but this experience might just push me to consider other brands like Marshall for my next speaker purchase. It’s a shame that the customer service experience left such a bad taste.
Bose is Officially Dead/Gone Forever
This isn't the Bose we used to know and love.
Bose is now owned by a private equity firm. You know, the type who buys up companies just to extract as much money out of them in the short term.
The decision to discontinue SoundTouch and render them essentially useless is a slap in the face to everyone who paid hefty amounts of money for the speakers.
Everything in the world is disposable and expendable according to Bose. Don't fall for the crap about sustainability and loving the environment... It's all 100% horse shit.
BOSE headphones
BOSE headphones - BE AWARE.
Great product from a technical point of view, atrocious customer care and warranty.
3 months old and the ear pads have completely split on both sides.
BOSE response is, they are not covered by warranty because they are not part of the headphone.
The retailer is also sitting at a dead end with this corporation with email addresses going nowhere.
Issue and attitudes by BOSE are with the retailer's management and Office of Fair Trading.
Spent over £2000 on a home cinema set…
Spent over £2000 on a home cinema set up, my daughter dropped something on the 700 sub unit and the glass shattered and cut her hands, spoke with Bose to get the glass replaced was quoted £125 to replace taht was fine i was happy to pay. Only to be told online that they wont repair as it not a fault and there is no option to repair so wasted £800 on the sub. Very poor service from a premium Brand and customer service don’t care, this will be the last product i buy from bose
Slowest company in everything
Is it really possible for a company to be this bad in service and support? Why are you so slow? I really don’t understand—turtles are faster than Bose.
When I was in the UK, I bought a Bose headphone and it took almost a month to arrive. It completely ruined my excitement. Now I’m in Canada, and the ear pads of my headphones came apart. I sent them for repair, and again it’s taken almost a month and I still haven’t received them. They were supposed to arrive this Friday morning, and now it’s pushed to Monday.
My question is: what exactly are you doing at your terrible company? This is truly exhausting and frustrating.
Horrible support: no replacement of case possible
I normally don’t post on socials or trustpilot, but the frustration with Bose leaves me no other option.
I have been a loyal Bose customer since 2014, but after my recent experience I demand a solution. At the end of August, I requested a replacement charging case for my QuietComfort Earbuds (2024, 2nd generation). Instead of simply offering the case, Bose told me my only option was to buy a completely different and more expensive product: the QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds for €252.98. The alternative? Pay €35.70 just to have my own earbuds shipped back—without any replacement case.
Meanwhile, in the US and UK the case is available for about $80 / £80. A brand-new QuietComfort set costs €160 at retailers, or €199 on Bose’s own website.
I called customer support five times, was promised escalation, but never received any follow-up. The last time I called, I was told my “best option” was either to pay for the return or take the so-called “deal.” For a premium audio brand, this is unacceptable.
Unless Bose resolves this properly, I will never buy from them again
