We stayed in Kai in Penrith for 4 nights
Location was just what we wanted very quiet beautiful views.
Unfortunately the cottage was not very clean at all the sofa smelled very badly and cobwebs everywhere in side the house such a shame would not return.

The perfect property for those looking for peaceful and tranquil surroundings.
The property offers all home comforts, is clean warm and cosy.
No negative points at all.

Beautiful resort with outstanding views and very peaceful, the cottages are furnished to a high standard and Rachel and Sam are available for help with everything to make your trip enjoyable, would definitely recommend

We have just returned from our 5th booking through Boutique Retreats, we cannot fault their selection. We loved everything about Little Heron in Lymington from the location to the interior decor to the best welcome hamper of goodies, the complimentary Mermaid Gin, the snuggly Little Heron dressing gowns, the huge roll top bath and all the lovely Bramley toiletries. The overall feel and comfort was just perfect in every way. It really felt like a luxury 'home from home' that we didn't want to leave. I never doubt that a choice made to stay at one of Boutique Retreats huge selection of cottages will delight.

Great location , welcoming hosts and perfect holiday cottage

We stayed at Smugglers in Cornwall booked via Boutique Retreats. No problems liaising with them and The booking process was easy.

In terms of Smugglers, great for peace and seclusion. The location of smugglers is perfect if you want peace and quiet and access to the great outdoors.
The uninterrupted views across Bodmin Moor are impressive and we enjoyed watching the wildlife which included lambs, ponies, swifts and buzzards.

The cabin itself is tastefully decorated and well equipped with things like board games, jigsaw puzzles, binoculars and a telescope. The kitchen is also well equipped.

Bed was comfy and the bathroom was particularly impressive - lovely double bath and spacious rainfall shower, kept cosy with the underfloor heating.

Everything was cleaned to a high standard throughout.

We found this a good base location for walking and for visiting the surrounding areas with many of the coastal towns just a short drive away.

But speaking of the drive, the access road leading up to it is terrible, there’s about 400 meters of very rough track that you couldn’t call a road, prepare to have to drive 2-3mph unless you have an SUV or the like, but for your average car, you have been warned!

On the whole, a lovely place with great views, we had a thoroughly relaxing break despite bad weather.

We have now been to a retreat in Cornwall and Yorkshire and both were stunning and very high quality. We will be back for more!

The cottage was unbelievably well equipped and included some things you didn't know you needed!
The furnishings and decor were of the highest quality and gave me quite a few interior design tips to bring back home!

A fabulous cottage. Beautifully decorated with plenty of space. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need. Lots of extras such as use of beach equipment (wind break, folding chairs etc). Situated in a quiet village. Lovely colourful garden. The cottage itself couldn't be better.
Minor things to keep in mind include that the walking route to the beach is not straightforward or easy to find, we ended up driving mostly. There is no pub/ cafe in walking distance.

We’ve used Boutique Retreats a few times now and they certainly deliver. This time we stayed in a wonderful house in Hampshire and every detail was looked after. A perfect holiday escape surrounded by stunning scenery…better than we expected. Thank you BR

The most breathtaking property I have laid eyes on, from start to finish the BR team made our stay feel exactly like home. The attention to detail was above and beyond. I can’t thank everyone enough. This stay will stay with me and my partner forever. Thank you.

We booked for a cottage in Mousehole. Upon arrival the cleaner and her mates were having a party in our garden! They were also using our only parking space and indignant when questioned. Cottage had not been cleaned and urine in toilet and all over seat . No milk , or champagne left as promised! Cottage filthy with dirt, hairs and unclean. We put in a complaint and had a refund but then a few days later due to the cottage company apparently giving all cleaners your full name and home address the cleaner in question stalked me on Facebook and left a scathing personal review of me in my work site clearly hoping to get me fired as she had been . When you ask the company why the cleaners have your address, they state “this is do the cleaners can contact you by post prior to your arrival”!!! The cottage company accept no responsibility in this so now being forced to take it further and contact the police, Totally gobsmacked by the whole episode . Do not book with them unless you want every Tom, Dick and Harry getting hold of your personal info!!

The Retreat Olea was beautiful, the decor and cottage was just lovely. They had thought of everything, all the little added touches made it much more than we expected.
The village as a whole was very pretty and had that quintessential countryside feel, very relaxing and peaceful!

This is a very reliable company offering top quality accommodations. We have been lucky enough to stay in a few of their homes so far and have enjoyed every single one of them. Have recommended them a number of times. So pleased we found them.

Really easy to book with them and their communication and customer service throughout was great.
We stayed at Winscombe Court and the house and facilities were fabulous, amazing new pool complex, I thought I would miss having the pool outside but it saves with sun cream when it is hot and you can also use it when it is cold or raining so win win!
The snooker room and memorabilia is great and the children loved the tennis court.
Every room is decorated beautifully and Victoria was on hand throughout our stay should we need anything and she was great!
We would love to go back and we recommend Winscombe Court and Boutique Retreats.

We booked The Forager Dartmouth with Boutique Retreats.
We were accused of not declaring taking our two dogs with us on holiday when we already had another rental booked with them to include our two dogs.
We were accused of using two of the bedrooms when we had apparently only paid for the ‘use’ of one bedroom during our stay.
On departure at 10am (as stated) we were told in no uncertain terms by The Housekeeper to vacate the property asap as she had a lot of cleaning to do as the owner was coming to stay. A truly disappointing experience.
Unfortunately we cannot retrieve our deposit from them for our next booking.

The property was excellent in all respects, facilities, cleanliness, location etc. The owners Andy and Lucy went above and beyond but were never obtrusive. Quiet picturesque location. Would highly recommend.

There are some great looking places to stay on the website and ours didn’t disappoint. A luxurious cabin with wonderful views of the sea from the decking area where we ate and spent the days sunbathing. Cabin was beautifully furnished with loads of nice little touches. Instructions for check in were detailed and made everything straightforward and when we needed some assistance it was immediately available. Had a brilliant stay and enjoyed every moment.

Have had one or two holiday holidays a year with Boutique Retreats over the last 10 years +. Properties always as advertised and to a high standard. Excellent customer service.
Had a weeks holiday in Cornwall last week at a large house near Boscastle which was superb for a large family gathering.
