Mile End Garage (behind Boyce Cars) in N. Abbot

Mile End Garage were okay at first, and did some work to the clutch as an emergency job as well as carrying out decent services but when it came to more complicated work, in this case a gearbox change, they were approached within two weeks afterwards concerning a sticky first-gear and wouldn't admit it. It's got worse. They knew they'd have to do some extensive follow-up repair to fix their mistake yet simply don't want to go to the trouble of having to do so.

As I've said on other review-sites, don't visit unaccredited garages unless you know them because you'll have no comeback.

I have told other garages about their unwillingness and they all said that a garage should admit a fault and remedy any problem if directly after a garage visit.

They also backed a very clearly dodgy back-street trading garage and which had done much damage to the vehicle.

I, myself, have fixed a Turbo Diesel 1.9 estate, the faulty part in requirement of replacing in the heart of the engine and had to remove much of the engine to even reach that area and I did fix it and the car worked. I simply 'had a go' at fixing, while I expect garages to consist of mechanics and not just DIY types such as myself.

I was mistaken in the first couple of years to keep going to them as they have proven themselves as disreputable and shouldn't be operational as a business.
