Still waiting for courier to uplift a…

Still waiting for courier to uplift a return ( for which I paid £4.99) Courier has not recieved notification of uplift. After numerous attempts to contact anyone from SD my parcel still sits there. The online 'contact us' form is useless, my query was specifically about a return, none of the options applied to my query so couldn't go any further. Not one telephone number available. The fact that I've already paid £4.99 postage in advance is something I certainly won't be repeating. I won't ever use this company again. Being unable to contact a company after a purchase is becoming all too familiar.

As predicted, they sent the wrong item (and I know why)

Here's how they get you:

1) Their website states that all items are in stock.
2) You place your order + £4.99 postage.
3) If it's out of stock (like many items are) they send you a similar item in the hope that you'll keep it because returns cost you another £4.99.
4) Their customer service told me that "website images are for illustration purposes only".

For the 2nd time an order I placed was…

For the 2nd time an order I placed was cancelled as was out of stock, their website should show that. Both times they have failed to inform PayPal. On first occasion I contacted them numerous times & they promised I wouldn’t be charged but I already had been therefore I eventually placed a dispute. It’s happened again, straight away I placed a dispute (didn’t even bother to contact them). Was automatically refunded as PayPal probably noticed I had the issue 2 years ago also.

My partner really Liked Sportsdirect

My partner really likes sportsdirect.uk. He had brought a high neck top from firetrap, so he wanted the navy blue and olive green, I did see the lad by the door ,I found out his name was Josh,I told him about my dilemma,because they didn't have any in the shop,he managed to get them on Line,so I could buy them,what good service,and he was so pLeasent, 10 out of 10, a big Thank You.

AVOID AT ALL COST! Save yourself time and headache. Garbage company.

This company should NOT exist!!!
They have sent me incorrect item in big order, and when I sent it back they said they didn’t receive it.

I initially reported the wrong item the day after receiving it on the 06/11/25 and the case was resolved on 03/01/26. 2 WHOLE MONTHS LATER.
Then they say they helped me with free return.

The worst shopping experience ever!! God forbid you end up having an issue with this none existent customer service.

This business should down. It should not exist.
2 months of a return!! The whole process took (102 EMAILS TO SOLVE)!!!! And over 10 hours of actual typing time repeatedly re-explaining everything over and over an to different useless advisors.

AVOID AVOID AVOID! AVOID!!!
Pay the 2-10£ more and buy from an actual business that has a phone support.

Anything from 4 hours to 4 days to get a reply to your email. Which will be a useless misunderstood email anyway.

Customer service team lied

Useless company who use useless Evri.

I placed an order for next day delivery on the 23/12/25, Got in touch with Evri who was the courier today the 29/12 and they are investigating! then got in touch with Sportdirect who have just told me the parcel was lost in transit, Ipreviously ordered from Frasers who own sprtsdirect and that went missing! please do not waste your time ordering from these disgraceful companies who cannot even give a goodwill gesture, As for any order you make please make sure it is not been delivered by Evri either, it could end up being delivered anywhere apart from your address. No Stars even though Ihad to put one down.

Late order, can't contact support at all

Ordered a football shirt on the 8th for my daughters birthday, had an email with the latest delivery date estimate of the 14th.

It's been sat in "Ready to ship" for 5 days, it's now the 17th.

Been sat in the online chat for an hour, been kicked out 3 times due to a maximum queue time of 5 minutes.

Only other way to contact them is email - which says it'll take a few days to reply, but which time it'll be too late.

Abysmal customer service.

Disgrace

I am not surprised to see the average that this store scores on this platform. I had a horrible experience with the One stop, Birmingham store. My son unwittingly bought school shoes from this sorry excuse of a sports store. Within 3 months the shoes opened up like a crocodile’s mouth. I went into the store and spoke to a sales person and they told me to get the shoe in and that the manager should sort something out. I went again couple of weeks later with the broken shoe and the receipt in hand, another sales person said he will speak to the manager who was sitting inside! The salesman came out and told me it was used hence they couldn’t refund or exchange. I hope the ludicrousness of this argument is not lost on you. On asking for the complaints policy or an email address for the same, I was actually discouraged saying that there’s nothing anyone will do about it. Finally after some conferring, the salesman came out with another instruction from the faceless manager to tell me to go onto the website and look for it myself.

Missing parcel, no help

I had a parcel go missing from them over a week ago. Trying to actually get a response from them is ridiculous. The chat kicks you off after 5 minutes and does this every time.
I want my parcel or refund.

One of the worst customer service…

One of the worst customer service experience I ever had. Please if you buy there don't in the store. If you order online you get damaged goods, you report it and then have even to pay for return cost plus get told in the end you don't get your money back as goods are damaged, even though I reported then arriving damaged.

Avoid!!

Trainers arrived having clearly been worn by someone else (soles dirty with stones stuck in between grooves) Tried to speak to someone on social media (you can't contact them any other way) and spent hours being asked for the same images over and over again. Absolutely ridiculous. When you want to return something, it will cost you £5 and you need to print a label- in the year 2025. Avoid at all costs, this retailer is NOT suitable for online business.

My package is still not delivered for a…

My package is still not delivered for a month now. Order no. SdIE50001005746945. Every time i contact customer service they tell me that my package will be delivered. No email communication, no transparency just dismissive and very rude staff, chatted with yolanda who was extremely rude. I will never purchase anything from them ever again regardless of their 'deals' and I will make sure I warn my family and friends as well.

Very bad in store experience in Sports…

Very bad in store experience in Sports direct in Westfield Stratford. The staff were extremely rude and unhelpful including the manager. I went in to buy a gift card for my kids friend’s birthday present. They gave me a damaged card and refused to swap it. Also refused to give me an envelope or anything to put it in despite the fact it was raining - and that is after making me walk up a broken escalator to pay because the till downstairs was closed. Really really unimpressed. Won’t be shopping here again. Not how to run a business

2nd time now items have not arrived

Every single time I order, there’s always a problem. Ordered an England shirt for my son’s birthday 13 days ago, but website still says it’s being processed, despite paying for express delivery. Now have to wait 15 days to reclaim the money via my bank as you cannot speak to anyone at Sports Direct. Please avoid buying from Sports Direct online, go to their stores if you need anything.

Awful customer service

Awful customer service. Bought a candle and reed diffuser as gifts - arrived in very battered boxes which had been opened and stuck back down with sellotape. Reed diffuser was covered in gunk from velcro on the diffuser which had come away. After ages talking to a chatbot and sending photos they said I would have to return at my own expense.

Never buy anything from this firm if…

Never buy anything from this firm if you think you’re going to return goods bought on line. Customer service is nil. No phones to contact. No internet contact with customer service. No connection to internet to pay for goods to be returned £4.99. And for return label to process refund collection of return items. What a palaver

No Customer Care/ Rude Staff

I returned to the store the following morning to exchange the items. What a carry on! Was left feeling like I had stolen something. Staff Member acting as manager was rude and dismissive about the conduct of the floor staff. I said I would never shop there again - was told 'that's your choice - do you want customer services number?'
