My package is still not delivered for a month now. Order no. SdIE50001005746945. Every time i contact customer service they tell me that my package will be delivered. No email communication, no transparency just dismissive and very rude staff, chatted with yolanda who was extremely rude. I will never purchase anything from them ever again regardless of their 'deals' and I will make sure I warn my family and friends as well.

Very bad in store experience in Sports direct in Westfield Stratford. The staff were extremely rude and unhelpful including the manager. I went in to buy a gift card for my kids friend’s birthday present. They gave me a damaged card and refused to swap it. Also refused to give me an envelope or anything to put it in despite the fact it was raining - and that is after making me walk up a broken escalator to pay because the till downstairs was closed. Really really unimpressed. Won’t be shopping here again. Not how to run a business
2nd time now items have not arrived
Every single time I order, there’s always a problem. Ordered an England shirt for my son’s birthday 13 days ago, but website still says it’s being processed, despite paying for express delivery. Now have to wait 15 days to reclaim the money via my bank as you cannot speak to anyone at Sports Direct. Please avoid buying from Sports Direct online, go to their stores if you need anything.
Awful customer service
Awful customer service. Bought a candle and reed diffuser as gifts - arrived in very battered boxes which had been opened and stuck back down with sellotape. Reed diffuser was covered in gunk from velcro on the diffuser which had come away. After ages talking to a chatbot and sending photos they said I would have to return at my own expense.

Never buy anything from this firm if you think you’re going to return goods bought on line. Customer service is nil. No phones to contact. No internet contact with customer service. No connection to internet to pay for goods to be returned £4.99. And for return label to process refund collection of return items. What a palaver
No Customer Care/ Rude Staff
I purchased goods to sum of £250.00 in the Plymouth Store Although I asked for a medium hoodie and running trousers, I was given a small and large respectively. I returned to the store the following morning to exchange the items. What a carry on! Was left feeling like I had stolen something. Staff Member acting as manager was rude and dismissive about the conduct of the floor staff. I said I would never shop there again - was told 'that's your choice - do you want customer services number?'
Bought a pair of golf trousers the back…
Bought a pair of golf trousers the back pocket (score card pocket) had been folded and stitched into the waistband hem (not usable)! You would not believe the protracted, time consuming, unnecessary process I had to go through to get a free return label. It was 20 questions including give product code/order number/ picture of bar code/ 3 sets of pictures of the trousers. Then I was told I had to write a letter and put it in with the return even though I had already answered all the questions. Absolutely ridiculous!!!!... update 19.10.25 I have got my refund but not including the original delivery charge they sent me the faulty goods why should I be paying for their delivery????

My order is running unacceptably late…
My order is running late (EVRI advised 13.30 >14:30). There were no updates in the tracking information, so when contacting SD, all they say is be patient. I am paid by the hour, and have lost four hours of my wage. SD couldn't care less and told me to be patient. This is how the conversation concluded:
Respectfully to avoid repetition of the same information we will be concluding this chat. Should you wish to inquire with us please feel free to contact us through chat or email.
Thanks for contacting us today. I'll begin disconnecting this conversation now.
If you need any further support, please feel free to come back through to us.
Have a great day.
This is not my idea of good customer service.
PS, Its now 19:21...
charge for £4.99 for return
charge for £4.99 for return, never use again
Why would you still use Evri as your delivery partner?
When I saw that Evri will be delivering my parcel, I joked with my partner that something was bound to go wrong. Lo and behold, 5 days later I receive an email from Evri saying my parcel was "damaged beyond repair" in transit, and that I (!) need to contact sports direct to organise replacement. Btw, delivery cost was £5. I will not order from Sports Direct again until they offer an alternative delivery method.
Scammers! Buy a pair - receive one !! Terrible customer service
Bought a pair of sweat wristbands from the Hastings store, got them home - only one in the package. Thought, no problem I’ll take them back and get a replacement as I still have the receipt - basically told to get lost - if you leave the store with the product you’ve accepted it’s good quality !! Who takes products out of the packaging instore to check that what they’ve sold you is actually there !! Disgusting customer service ! Why should I pay for something I never received !! Avoid at all costs - rip off merchants !!
Online returns are a scam
I have always loved this store - always buy my outdoor gear here. Then recently I purchased some items online for a holiday, and lots didn't fit.
Firstly, the postage cost was really unfairly and unjustifiably expensive. £7.99 for next day, but it was expensive even for standard postage.
Then, they won't allow store returns and insist you have to return online - pay postage to return and pay £4.99 per item to return the items? I purchased lots of items at around £7 so this effectively means I can't return or exchange.
I can only think that this is a scam designed to prevent people returning, or rip them off if they do. Which seems unnecessary - as they've had brand loyalty from me for years, and now that has completely gone. I haven't purchased trainers from anyone else in 15 years and I won't buy again from them.
Refused refund for returned shoes
I recently returned three items to Sports Direct using their Royal Mail returns label (one of which was a mug that I had not ordered therefore returned). I later received an email from Sports Direct confirming that my return had been received and listing all three items.
However, when I chased up my refund weeks later, I was told for the first time that the shoe box was allegedly empty. I was never contacted about this issue at the time, and no evidence has been provided to support the claim.
I also later learned that the mug had been a complimentary gift, but as I was not aware of this when I received it, I returned it with the other items in good faith. On top of this, customers have to pay for their own return postage, which makes this experience even more frustrating when refunds are refused.
I have since had to escalate this matter through my payment provider and consumer protection bodies to try to recover the money for shoes that I do not have. They never provided me with any evidence.
This experience has been extremely disappointing, and I would strongly advise people not to shop online with Sports Direct as there is a huge risk they will not receive full refund for items they had indeed returned!
Terrible company to buy from and…
Terrible company to buy from and wouldn’t even give them one star. Refused to give a refund when £34 worth of socks that I ordered didn’t arrive.
Zero stars for Everything!!!
If I could have given zero stars for my score, I would have, as the overall experience was shocking.
The wrong-sized items were sent to me by Sports Direct, and it has taken me ages to arrange a return and refund, due to resistance from Sports Direct Customer Services to refunding me and paying the postage themselves for me to return the items.
Dealing with customer service was how I imagine it might be, dealing with some sort of organised crime group, gang!
Initially, I was told the mistake was mine, and I would not be able to return the items or receive a refund.
After a substantial amount of time arguing and highlighting to the 'jobs worth' idiot on the phone, my consumer rights, I finally got agreement that it was not my fault, and Sports Direct had indeed sent the wrong items to me.
I was then informed that I had to provide photographic proof that the sizes sent were wrong, and also provide proof of the invoice note showing the sizes I ordered (this information would have been accessible to the customer service 'jobs worth', so I can only assume he was trying to make things difficult for me as some sort of punishment!).
As an aside, this is the third consecutive order where incorrect sizes or items have been sent.
The process to get a refund and return an item is so time-consuming that I have ended up giving previous items away as gifts instead of going through the rigmarole of trying to get a cash refund.
I am now not inclined to order clothing from Sports Direct in the future, as they seem incapable of fulfilling a simple order.
I am still waiting for the refund to go into my account two weeks later, and envisage i will be back on the phone soon enough enquiring as to the whereabouts of my £100 refund.
Note - I completed a review that Sports Direct sent me for the items I wanted refunded, and they emailed me back a few days later stating my review was not accepted as it did not meet their review guidelines!!!
It appears they will not allow negative reviews on their website.

Stay away these guys are scammers using fake sports direct logo. I ordered, made payment and that was the end of story. Confirmation email for order came from a gmail account. I've never felt so stupid!!
Cancelled my return without warning but kept my money
I wish I had come here before ordering from SD. Was sent a pair of used sandals and requested a return to be collected from my address. Had to pay £5 which is bad enough but when nobody collected it I contacted their customer service on X and a person named Abi, unwilling to solve the issue, just cancelled the collection. Just like that. They basically stole £5 from me and sent me something that’s been used… will never shop there again. Truly appalling service.
Horrendous
I went to sports direct Wolverhampton to ask for a refund only to be told I couldn’t have a refund and had to have a voucher. Why? All other high street reputable companies offer refunds so why can’t sports direct. The staff and management in the Wolverhampton store are so rude. They need to be given a course in customer service!!
Great product and delivery.
I bought a Gul - GARDA MK2 50N BUOYANCY AID for my 13 year old daughter who loves it and wears it paddleboarding. It looks and feels great and is very well constructed (I've had this same model for over 7 years and it still looks and feels like new). My wife and eldest daughter have used mine over the years and love it. I read that a small number of people struggle with side zip, but this has never been an issue for any of us and is a reassuring safety feature. Delivery from SportsDirect took a few days but it was a good courier and the price point reflected the delivery timescale against next-day retailers. The website is easy to navigate. I've previously ordered stuff online from SD and on the rare occasion Ive had to take something back, Ive gone to a store and sorted a refund. Buying in-store their policy is to credit, sunless faulty, since in-store you have the opportunity to try it on.
