Awful company
Awful company. Sent a broken Keter shed, give 14 days to return but have no customer service to speak to and the online chats are scripted with no understanding or able to support. All in India and takes hours or days to get a reply. After three apparent attempts of sending Evri, who never turned up, I have still got a broken shed seven days later and told no money will be returned until they receive it. Well come and get it!!!! They obviously want to keep the money and are not interested in refunding me. Disgusting service.
Do not reply to say to contact customer service, I’ve done this over 20 times across email and Facebook messenger and got no where! I want my £217 back.
If you want to feel valued ad a customer AVOID Sports Direct Bloomfield BangorID
Absolutely abismal customer service. I walked by 2 'assistants' on entering without being acknowledged. Not sure if they had what I was after so asked one of these for help. She pointed me to where I could find the items saying she would send someone to assist me. NEVER HAPPENED! Two young ladies did walk past me while having a good chat but neither thought to enquire if I needed help. I left in disgust and spent a substantial sum in another store.
The company sent the wrong size and defective child shoes
The company sent the wrong size shoes. And the shoes have torn on one shoe and fallen apart on this shoe less than 5 days after they were worn for the first time by an 8 year old. This has taken two occasions of returning to me for the shoes to be reviewed and refused for a return. They are refusing to believe this is an issue with the item and think my daughter has used these shoes heavily in school for 5 days! AVOID this company at all costs!
Very poor customer service
Ordered and paid for a product, 3 days later they cancelled my order and said the item is no longer available, but it is still advertised as available to purchase on their website. Customer service won't discuss this with me.
Very bad service.
I tried to cancel my order 10 minutes…
I tried to cancel my order 10 minutes after placing it. No chance. There is no customer support.
Missing item refused to be acknowledged and refunded
I ordered a necklace along with other items from Sports Direct on 24 March 2025(Order Number: SD40000121923960). When I received the parcel on 27 March, the necklace was missing. I immediately contacted customer service and provided all relevant evidence including delivery photo, what I have received and my invoice to request a refund. However, they completely refused to acknowledge the issue. So I had to contact them again, and on 19 May, supervisor Punitan Suppayah told me: “Pending this investigation, any items confirmed missing will be sent out to you.” But MONTHS have passed and I have received NOTHING.
This has been extremely disappointing. I feel ignored and frustrated. I will never shop at Sports Direct again!!!!
Cash refunds not given.
Cash refunds not given. If you purchase anything in store, you may not be entitled to a refund and will instead get a credit refund unlike 99% of other stores on the high street that do give refunds especially if the items are packaged as new and completely unused and returned within a couple of days. Just make sure you are really sure of your purchase before you make it.
Ridiculous postage prices.
I was charged £4.99 for the courier to throw my parcel over the gate and leave in the rain (EVRI). Now I find that it will cost another £4.99 to return one pair of shoes that don't fit. If I order again it will cost another £4.99 to get the correct size. Will not using Sports Direct again.
Disappointing return policy
Yesterday i bought a pair of training shoes for my son from Sports Direct, but unfortunately, they didn’t fit. When I tried to return them the very next day, with the receipt and in perfect condition, I was told they don’t offer refunds for in-store purchases, only an exchange or a credit note. This is incredibly frustrating and not what I expect from a major retailer.
Most stores nowadays understand that sometimes items just don’t work out and offer a refund within a reasonable time. Refusing a refund for something unworn and returned promptly feels outdated and unfair. I won’t be shopping at Sports Direct again unless they change this rigid and customer-unfriendly policy.
the parcel was lost and I applied it online but there's no reply
I ordered a shoe 8 days ago 1 and haven't received it, and my order number is APPSD40000123654008 the staffs in the store told me that it was lost and I have applied to return it online but there's no reply for the whole time, so far I haven't received the parcel and don't know what to do. Now I just want to cancel the order and get the money back.
Shockingly bad returns process
Shockingly bad returns process. By bad I mean ‘non functioning’. Put your order number in to start the returns process and the website says ‘order not recognised’. Go to help and it says ‘if this happens try again in a few days’.
So Sports direct are aware of an ongoing barrier to returning orders to the extent that they have a dedicated section of their website about it, but not to the extent that they will fix the problem!
Surely it’s a breach of online shopping rules not to have a way of returning goods? How about you contact me Sports direct before I make a written complaint?
Scam artists
Scam artists. Will trap you in an endless loop of credit notes and delivery/return charges if you purchase from them in store and online. They have deducted money from my refund which has gone unexplained when I was charged 0 for returns upon generating the return and no sign of instructions on how a credit note is refunded. Customer service is non existent. Avoid at all costs.
Extremely Poor Customer service at Sportsdirect Camberley
Subject: Formal Complaint Regarding Unacceptable Customer Service and Managerial Misconduct at Sports Direct Camberley
Dear Sports Direct Customer Service Team,
I am writing to formally express my deep dissatisfaction with the shocking and unacceptably poor customer service experienced at your Camberley store. The level of indifference, lack of professionalism, and sheer disregard for customer needs displayed by staff is unacceptable** for a company of your stature.
During my visit, I encountered unhelpful and disengaged staff, long waiting times for assistance, and a general lack of urgency or care in addressing customer concerns. Basic inquiries were met with dismissive responses, and there was no effort to provide solutions or assistance. This reflects a serious failure in customer service standards, which should be a priority for any retail business.
Widespread Negative Reviews Online
Upon further investigation, I found that my experience was not an isolated incident.
Numerous negative reviews online highlight similar complaints, including:
- Poor issue resolution
- Unwilling to help with customer queries
- Lack of accountability and dismissive customer service
Unacceptable Managerial Conduct -
Beyond the inadequate customer service, the behaviour of the store management is entirely unacceptable. Managers at this location appear to believe it is acceptable to shout at customers, rather than address concerns professionally and respectfully. Worse still, the branch managers made wild and baseless accusations of aggression, seemingly to avoid accountability.
This approach is both unprofessional and deeply concerning. A managerial position is responsible for ensuring fair and respectful interactions, yet the conduct displayed at Sports Direct Camberley suggests a complete disregard for ethical business practices. Such behaviour damages customer relations and actively contributes to the store’s growing reputation for poor service.
I request that urgent action be taken to improve staff training, customer service protocols, and overall responsiveness. Additionally, I expect a formal response outlining the steps Sports Direct will take to address managerial misconduct and implement better accountability measures.
By far the worset online shopping…
By far the worset online shopping experience ever... Ordered 4 tshirts, 2 were correct and 2 were wrong. Had to fight with a lad on email to be issued a free return. I had to tell him go look at the sports direct terms and conditions just to be able to return the 2 wrong tshirts. So then that took a week to happen. So th 2 wrong tshirts have been returned and are with with sports direct for over 7 weeks and i have asked for updates regarding my return, all of which have gone unasnwered. So i can safely say i wont be seeing a refund from them. If you want to shop with them go into the shop do not go online.
They charge £4.99 for delivery, and another £4.99 for returns
I recently ordered a pair of Skechers that were very similar to a pair I bought around five years before, in the same size. The old shoes fit perfectly so I thought i'd be safe ordering the same size without trying on. Wrong. My order arrived about a week later, in an old beaten up box featuring a different pair of Skechers, and I tried on the shoes, which on first sight looked cheap, like cheap knock offs, and they were too large, even with socks on. So I went online to find out how to return the item, and the store wanted me to pay another £4.99 to return, on top of the £4.99 I had to pay for delivery. Ridiculous. I am not paying 25% of the cost of the shoes just to return them. What sort of company does that? Also, when you initially order your shoes online, and pay, you get sent an email saying your order is being processed, but it's not yet confirmed. What is that supposed to mean, it's hardly reassuring. Had I known that Sports Direct would charge me for returns, had I known that their sizing is NOT consistent from their older shoes, I would not have ordered in the first place. Not okay. Also no customer service people to speak to. Thumbs way down.
No proper way to return wrong size tennis
I bought an Adidas tennis, and for some reason, the size was very small. Even though all my shoes are 8.5, this 8.5 did not fit. Now you can not return to the store, and I have to pay £4.99 plus £4.99 to send it back. For a store that sells shoes, the return should be an easy step. Also, it is very difficult to contact the store.
just received my first ever order from…
just received my first ever order from this company ,the trainers were a birthday gift for someone
i received a completely destroyed box, customer service agent lois didn't give a damn about it and kept saying the box is only to protect the goods
really after spending quite a bit on them you'd expect to receive something decent not something that's crushed or been run over by a roller
never going to use you again and pictures are going over the media to show that you just don't care

Faceless company
The other day I bought some Nikes from the store in Torquay as the one local to me in Newton Abbot didn't have the right size in stock and after spending four-pounds on petrol and two hours hauling a vulnerable adult around so I could pick them up, those at the local store having phoned the Torquay outlet for them to put the trainers aside, I got home to find when about to cover them in protective-spray a luminous yellow mark on the side of one of them.
I obviously didn't want to do that journey again and so went to the store in Newton Abbot who offered a credit-note. The problem with a credit-note is that the Newton Abbot store might not have the trainers I like and if they have then not necessarily in the right size.
So, I emailed the company and which is presumably some head-office somewhere and they gave the impression that I could drop the trainers into the local store and the head-office would give my money back but when phoning those at Newton Abbot to alert them, those at the Newton Abbot store questioned the meaning of the content in the email and sure enough when I returned back to correspondence with the head-office they said that I could only get my refund via the store.
I don't whether people have grown thick very quickly over the last fifteen years (blame it on socialist policy), as I had already gone to lengths explaining the above with the head-office.
I really, really, really don't like, at all, these...what operate as...outsourcing companies where you get the impression that the only executive has already retired and the only people you get to speak to are customer-service agents who have either been given the room or are told to act up in the knowledge that beyond them, there is no recourse to management.
So, basically, they've done me a bad turn, are legally bound to return my funds...yet simply won't.
I am getting a chargeback to my account from the bank as Sportsdirect needs to lose the money on these trainers to teach them to treat people properly.
A shame because when initially buying a different pair on the same day at Newton Abbot, and which were unmarked and so kept, I found the store was run by really helpful people and likewise in Torquay nearly every trainer they had on the shelves I would have chosen as a manager to have in stock - same wavelength.
Head-office could easily return my funds but won't because of an evil set-up in terms of the company infrastructure, purposefully like this so as to make it extremely difficult for customers to obtain refunds when sales for whatever reason go wrong.
The two stars, is because of the brilliant stock and also the helpfulness of staff at these outlets...
While, head-office needs to sort out their company. And going by other reviews, I wouldn't be the only one who thinks this!
Will do and say anything to avoid…
Will do and say anything to avoid refunding on faulty goods that are within the compulsory 12 month retailer guarantee, take them to small claims court by quoting the Consumer Rights Act 2015
