Brasserie Blanc Reviews 

Went to Brasserie Blanc in Cheltenham for the first time with my wife and friends earlier this week. Won’t be returning any time soon. The service and venue decor was great but the food was way below par and didn’t reflect the price we paid for the lunch menu. A very disappointing culinery experience!

I had a lovely meal in the Winchester branch with family last night. The food was lush & the service wonderful. Special thanks to the chefs, Jamie & Ethan who looked after us superbly!

I had lunch with a friend and ordered a cheese soufflé, which was undercooked. I chose not to complain. When the main course arrived, it was a burnt, dry burger with blackened bun edges. It was quite disappointing to receive such a meal. They did remove the burger from the bill, for which I am thankful. Nonetheless, it was an unhappy experience.

Service ok , environment reasonable but food nothing special , fairly bland , coffee was inedible 😳. Charged us £12.95 gratuity which we were informed was compulsory! Would nt visit again .

Visited BB Oxford which is situated in the old Jericho area of the city in a thriving street with lots of restaurants and coffee bars. Twenty minutes walk from the train station.
It appears initially to be quite a small corner street restaurant but on entering there is a much larger area towards the rear
Staff were very welcoming and friendly, and apart from a slight delay before our orders were taken it was a great experience. Food was delicious, very tasty and nicely presented.
I can imagine in the front of the restaurant it might be a little noisy but in the rear it was quiet and easy to have a conversation without raising our voices.
I hadn't realised it was a chain, but it didn't really present as your normal chain type restaurant.
We had gone on a Virgin Experience ticket and had a set menu which had a good choice, but we will certainly be re visiting to experience the A La Carte menu

Visited BB in Winchester (08.12.223) with my husband and four friends and had an absolutely wonderful time. We reserved a private room and received received impeccable service and food was perfect! Thank you so much for making our annual Christmas dinner out so great!

Brasserie Blanc Cheltenham - this was our first visit to Brasserie Blanc having been recommended by longstanding friends. We had high expectations but sadly we were underwhelmed. First of all the lighting was so low that we had to use the torch on our smartphones to read the menu!! Secondly, I had reviewed the menus on-line and to check whether a service charge was applied to the bill - there wasn't! However, the menus you are given when you arrive mention a "discretionary" service charge of 10% - I think the website should make the service charge clear. Whilst we were happy with our starters (2x Goats Cheese and Fig Tart and Cheese souffle), my wife and I had the fillet steak with peppercorn sauce. We have had much better fillet steaks at pubs and other establishments that you would say are of a lower profile than Brasserie Blanc and the pepper sauce was watery and lacked any real taste of pepper! My daughter had the burger but again she said she has had much better elsewhere. In terms of service, we were asked if we wanted any more wine (i.e. a drink we had to pay for) whereas the waitress did not notice that our jug of iced water was empty and I had to request that it be re-filled. Finally, when we were ready to leave, as is so often the case in restaurants, it was difficult to attract someone's attention to get the bill. These two points do not reflect attentive service and do not justify a service charge of £16 I am afraid. The toilets and the corridor leading to them could do with a makeover. Overall a bit disappointing and we will not be rushing back to Brasserie Blanc.

Four of us were attending a concert at the Royal Festival Hall so opted for the Pre-Theatre Menu at Brasserie Blanc. A beautiful restaurant, staff were extremely professional: helpful and friendly. The food was delicious (2 courses for £19.50) and extremely good value. Sadly, the entire experience was ruined by the noise levels there, which meant we literally could not hear each other shout, let alone talk. Having to lean in and bellow into your neighbour's ear, (to no avail) is not conducive to the easy flow of conversation. My husband rang the next day to say how disappointing this had been when everything else was spot on, and was told that it was a known problem and that there had been many complaints from customers. Can nothing be done? We might consider going back, just the two of us, for an excellent meal in lovely surroundings, but in companiable silence. No other way!

Excellent Sunday lunch at Brasserie Blanc in Beaconsfield with friends. The food was delicious as always. Excellent service as well, something one does not get everywhere these days. I had the ‘crab and sweetcorn’ for starter, a confit of duck with white beans and chorizo. Excellent food and very tasty too. My husband and my friends enjoyed their food very much too.

Really top quality food at decent prices, definitely recommended.

Outstanding lunch at Brasserie Blanc Beaconsfield.

Went for lunch yesterday at & our side dishes arrived very late. We had eaten most of our main courses because they were getting cold & we were hungry. We did ask & were assured they were on their way but after 5 minutes were told "just checking the kitchen now". I am not sure the servers have experienced dining there & understood that half your meal arriving late spoils the meal. It felt like our fries were our dessert!

Lunch today at Brasserie Blanc on Beaconsfield High Street was outstanding and a notch higher than any other meal I’ve enjoyed there as was the service. We ordered cheese soufflé, aubergine chickpea salad, sea bream and pistachio soufflé. Upon asking what this could possibly be attributed to, our waiter Louis informed that the restaurant has a new manager. I shall definitely return.Louis’s service was prompt and attentive and the whole experience was seamless!

I ordered a gift voucher and bought the wrong one(for the pubs not the restaurants) Quicky sorted by Emma at the gifting department after a single Email. There appears to be an ethos of fair customer service throughout this group

I am a regular customer at the Winchester restaurant. Had a really lovely evening last Saturday with 5 friends and we all had fabulous starters, mains and desserts! Nice, reasonably priced wine! Loved the new upstairs decor. Staff all excellent too.

Excellent service and fabulous food. I have a disability and use a walking stick. The staff found me a table with a comfortable chair and even got me a cushion to put behind my back should I need it. They couldn’t do enough to accommodate us and anything we needed. Highly recommended.

Lovely location and interior design very much akin to a Parisian Bistro. Staff extremely attentive despite an obvious large booking looming. Loved the Toasted Sour Dough Appetiser, Cheese Soufflé, and Treacle Tart. Will look forward to eating there again.

Organising a group lunch , post Covid, somewhere that was reasonably priced, for ladies coming from all over the country - that was a challenge. However, the staff at Brasserie Blanc, Southbank, eg Viktoria, Klara, Georgie, were as helpful as anyone could wish for. The were a few flies in the ointment - train strike, errors in details...... but everything was sorted out with charm and patience and understanding. We had the cheapest group menu and the food was lovely. We all enjoyed our long lunch and will be returning 😊

I use the Chichester restaurant regularly and would highly recommend them. never had the slightest problem with service or food.

Adding gratuities to your bill with no discussion is out of order. This happened at Gunwharf Quays. Only noticed upon checking the receipt for the company card later. This is particularly galling if you have left a cash tip.
