Wow, what great guys, dropped in oit the blue when my first car choice was damaged, 2nd car was sold in front of me and so was just driving past over an hour from home, drove and wanted to purchase a seat ateca they had as a trade in, unfortunately car wasnt mot'd but they moved heaven and earth to get it up on the ramp and when my bank refused to pay without a card reader and passcode like the sales manager produced one like a magician. Suffice to say i was ever so greatful for the effort they took to enable me to drive away that day (after my motorbike was stolen days before) and i even made it back in time for work by the skin of my teeth.
Thanks guys. If im ever in the market for a kia ill be in touch.
Steve.

Brayleys carried out our first annual service on a Mazda CX5 on 13th December. We had paid for a three year service plan when we bought the car so there were no charges for for filters, oil etc. The only charge was £20 for the collection from/delivery to home service. And they cleaned the car! All done in a very efficiently and friendly manner.

Service was completed in stated timescales and warranty issue addressed. Everything was fully explained and the car was returned washed.

My Mazda 3 broke down over the weekend in Stevenage, away from my home. First recovery was attempted by Mazda assist ( nothing to do with Brayleys at this stage) on the Saturday afternoon 4 hrs after initial call. Couldn't get vehicle started although fault identified as defective battery.
Left the vehicle stranded over the weekend before ringing Brayleys at Harpenden to check they could accept into the workshop for inspection.
There was a delay of approx 3.5 hours before Harpenden service dept agreed to accept the car into the service dept. At this point I was told the repair could take 10 to 15 days and no courtesy car was available! Even though repair was only to change a battery. I then had to contact Mazda assist to arrange another recovery. This happened about 1500 hrs. Brayleys Harpenden then changed the battery under warranty and the vehicle was back on the road on Wednesday with Brayleys having changed the battery under warranty with no charge. Whole process worked well in the end but would like to see better communication from service team rather than reading from a standard script.

After having booked my car in for a Service & MOT , with the use of a loan car , we arrived at 9 am to be informed that there was no loan car & they were short of cars!
No apology or offer to look into what had happened.
Have now rebook the service & MOT for 2 weeks time & spend another hour driving to Harpenden.
I would definitely recommend asking for written confirmation when making a booking, to ensure you don’t waste time.
NOT IMPRESSED BRAYLEYS HARPENDEN 😡

Booked Mazda CX5 for 4th annual service, at BRAYLEYS HARPENDEN and paid an extra £150 for 'fault finding'. On collection I was told that fault finding from the computer indicated the Blind Spot Monitoring system was not working due to collision damage to the rear bumper (which was obvious and already known). Very disappointed that there was no indication of what work was required to fix the issue or the cost. The extra £150 cost seemed a complete waste of money. After prompting this discussion, it was agreed that if I brought the car back again they would do a proper investigation and provide detailed information and a quote for works to fix the issue. On returning the car for a second visit, it was agreed with Sales reception at drop off, that when the bumper was removed to investigate the BSM fault, the loose rear light would be secured with glue at no extra cost. However, I was phoned around 2pm and told that if I wanted the rear light to be secured I would have to pay £155 for one hour of labour. Very disappointed at this behaviour especially after the inconvenience of a second visit, and would have expected a main Mazda dealer to live up to their promises.
14th August Update - The response to this July review promised 'a call from the management team'. That has not materialised so again not impressed.

Car went in for recalls … drove 20 miles and the then same error message occurred with the hybrid system failing. Either the recall didn’t work or wasn’t completed properly.
email sent directly to their service manager on 7th July - as at 11th July still no reply.

My experience was good. Salesman very engaging initially and even came in on his day off to allow us to test drive the car. He also asked the team who prep the car to have the car mopped so that we could check the bodywork for any damage. Successful test drive and we agreed to buy the car and set a date for collection.
We were assured the car would be valeted inside and out prior to collection.
On the day of collection he organised getting the car taxed while we were there. He went through the controls of the car and even set my phone up with the car and put fuel in for us.
However it was apparent that very little valeting if any had taken place.
I understand there is shortage of staff to do these jobs but I was a little disappointed having spent a lot of money on a car that it hadn't been done.

We had been looking for car that would meet our needs and came across the Mazda line. Brayleys was the second nearest dealer so We enquired about a test drive. The sales executive responded to our enquiry very quickly and a test drive was booked for the following day.
Tim, the sales exec, was awaiting our arrival with the chosen car fully prepped. We received a comprehensive overview of the features to provide an excellent test drive. Tim sat in the back of the car and was able to answer queries as we drove. He was both personable and knowledgeable. We left a small deposit for the car and decided over the weekend to buy it. The sales showroom was comfortable and accessible.
Following. pre sales service and clean the car was delivered a few days later along with sales paperwork. It was followed up with warranty papers by way of a e-vault. All in all a smooth transaction.

Staff very pleasant and helpful as usual. Only slight minus point was not being called back when I rang at one stage to see whether car might be ready for collection earlier in the afternoon. Otherwise very satisfactory.
