Excellent products and excellent service at all levels.

I bought a much earlier product made by Brennan to store and play my cd collection on well over 20 years ago. This finally needed replacement, and I had no hesitation in purchasing from the company again.

The product is again excellent, as well as the customer service and support throughout the ordering and delivery process. Responses to any queries were sometimes received well outside normal working hours, and were very comprehensive - these days that happens extremely rarely.

It is noteworthy that I have also received a personal email from the owner of the company as follow up, and this reflects enormously in their commitment to excellence and involvement at all levels of their business.

Highly recommended, and hoping for another 20 years of excellent performance from my new purchase.

Works well for cd ripping

I was very excited to find this and hooefully it will result in listening to my large selection of cd's again. The ripping works well and is very fast. I have been struggling with connecting speakers since I don't have Sonos speakers. I am using bluetooth and it has not been working great yet, but Brennan support is helping me through that.

Sorry to hear you are having problems setting up Sonos. You will see from the reviews that most owners find it a breeze. Basically once the B3 is on the network it finds the Sonos speakers and you select one. I don't see any emails from you. If you want to try you can email us at thebrennanb2@gmail.com. Sometimes mesh routers cause problems. I asked the AI and it gave some tips. But no problem about returning for a refund. You can find the return instructions here

On a second reading I see that you had problems with the web UI - that's very unusual and may be the root of the problem so I'd start by looking at the wifi signal strength at the B3 . Settings & Tools > Maintenance > Advanced > Wifi Strength

Dislike the online forum

Dislike the online forum, which whilst informative often needs a PhD level of computing knowledge to understand.Ended up sending B3 back for repair.

In fact most reviewers have positive views on the forum. I looked at your post on the forum and I agree one of the replies was definitely geek level but the other advice was quite straightforward.
In fact the forum is just one of three ways of getting help. Email is the definitive way but we work office hours so you might have to wait. The forum is good - especially for advice relating to third party gear and tips and tracks but it can get a bit random. And the AI is getting better all the time - we are up to 80% thumbs up which I think is pretty good. But it looks like you needed a repair so email would have been the best choice.

Simple to use my Brennan B3+ great…

Simple to use my Brennan B3+ great sound I use it through 2 Alexa echo dots configured to stereo with a subwoofer crystal clear rich sound The only thing I would like is the app a little more sophisticated but a minor point.

What isn't mentioned is that it works with an IPad and an IPad pro perfectly - useful with those of us with not too good eyesight!

Quick solution to corrupted B2

Problem of corrupted SD card solved by Brennan promptly supplying another. I've had a B2 for 11 years and it still amazes me with it's performance.

A great device (B3)
Great to look through all my CDs while ripping them (a bit annoying as I have to listen to so many of them that I had forgotten)
Couple of issues setting it up but support team were great at helping and now works like a dream.

Well worth the expense, keeping all my music in one place which is easy to access.

Replacement `Programming disc

Very disappointed with this product.

Very disappointed with this product.
Bought the B3+ as a way to store my CD collection as was putting into storage during redecorating works and with view to saving space.
Didn't get chance to full test unit as works ran over, but now I have, I wish I'd tried it earlier as would have very likely returned.

Firstly, rip quality isn't great. Think I've yet to find one CD that doesn't have glitches in the form of small audible clicks or sections were there is slight shift in passage of play.

Not overly impressed with sound quality either.
My set-up uses a Denon AV receiver with the Toslink output. I've tried running CD player with the B3 simultaneously with same CD playing while switching between two and the sound quality from the B3 is a big let down.

A number of other disappointing features: no bundled remote control -come on? For the cost of the unit this seems very poor.

Also, having to buy an adapter to allow ethernet connection seems similarly shoddy for same reason. As is having an additional charge for postage.

All in all, I think a two star review is being generous, given these issues.

I'd just like to re-iterate Jenny's message we will be happy to let you return your B3+ for a refund. I checked again and cannot see any email from you.
I'd also be happy to investigate the audible clicks issue. Obviously that doesn't normally happen so if you would like to send the B3 to our repair centre with a CD that shows this problem then we can put it right - assuming its not the CD.
The data sent on the optical output is exactly what comes off the CD (provided you haven't enabled the B3 graphic equaliser) so it should be identical to the optical output from any other CD player.
How did you make the comparison?
B3 doesn't come with a traditional IR remote because you can do so much more using the app or web UI on a phone. But I do accept that there is a simplicity and immediacy to old school remotes that mobile apps don't deliver.
We don't fit ethernet because the vast majority of our customers don't want it and as you have found - you can buy an adaptor for a couple of quid.

Very impressed.

The sound quality seems very good , I had an Arcam system with B&W speakers & Subwoofer before . I can’t believe how heavy the old Arcam amp is compared to this new Brennan . They are currently awaiting sale when I get the new Brennan installed permanently.
