I bought the Swan food steamer after a very trusty steamer broke down. I didn't hold out much hope of getting one that performed as well as my old one, but after cooking my first batch of vegetables, I was very pleasantly surprised! It cooks the vegetables to perfection. My only complaint is that if you put it on for one and a half hours with the timer, there is not enough space to hold all the water needed, and I have to dismantle it to top up the water.
