Brewers Decorator Centres - Colchester Reviews 

Needed to purchase paint for skirting board in new kitchen. It needed to colour match the kick board though. Adam was incredibly helpful and I would say,went above and beyond to find the right product for us. He was friendly and clearly very knowledgeable, explaining all our options with nothing too much trouble.
The shop was tidy and clean with products easy to identify and good signage to help. Various offers available too.
Really nice to engage with friendly shop staff who really seemed to be genuinely enthusiastic. Well done.

Computer stock record was incorrect for Colchester so ended up re-ordering and collecting from Sudbury

Awful messy store, no ambience. Doesn’t look a professional outfit at all.
Would ALWAYS PLACE crown and dulux Decorator centres as a more professional trade centre.
Had to wait to be served even though heard someone tinting paint out the back.

It is such a relief to find a store in which genuine old fashioned customer service and downright honesty about what they can and can't do still exists; and they can do a lot more than I expected. I went to buy an inappropriate paint for my fridge freezer. They advised on the risks, and were able to mix any colour in a different brand and explain why it was more suitable. Another day I went to buy Farrow and Ball paint that they didn't have in stock. They said they could mix the shade in another paint, and explained that it might not be an exact match, and talked about the different texture to Farrow and Ball. When I didn't want to accept that, they searched for stock in other Colchester retailers. This took me back to the days when retailers often used to support each other in this way; more human scale times. They were friendly and jovial too. A treat to shop here.

I shopped here for the first time today and the member of staff serving me was very helpful and informative.
One of the paints I wanted was out of stock in Colchester. He said he was going to another branch in Frinton later and would not only collect a tin for but he also delivered it to my home.
This was above and beyond what I could reasonably have expected or even hoped for. It was done with cheerful kindness and was very much appreciated. This young man made my day and deserves recognition for the superb customer service he gave me.
I will certainly shop there again and have no hesitation is recommending this store. Thank you.
