This was our third stay here in Poplar cottage. We really enjoy our stays there and have booked for next year. It’s also good that we can take our dog. The bistro is lovely and serves fantastic food, it’s also great that they deliver to your cottage. Our only thought was that a small amount of things needed seeing to in the cottage. The kitchen tap dripped constantly and the kitchen sink made a terrible noise when draining. The water in the downstairs wet room took a long time to clear. The fridge had recently been replaced and it didn’t have the same freezer part in the top, which was needed to keep frozen veg and ice cream to be stored but couldn’t be. The cottage is still fantastic and I would like to also point out that the reception staff, especially Erika, are all lovely and very helpful.

Wallnut cottage at Brickhouse farm was everything we needed and more. The spacious open plan area combined with the privacy of the all en-suite rooms was ideal for our needs. The setting on the Small lake was beautiful. The allocated parking spaces worked very well and the additional parking was only a short walk away. The on site cafe and small shop provided everything we needed. The whole service team were so accommodating. Eating at the restaurant was Covid secure and all the team headed by Michelle were second to none. The take away service was ideal too - and the flexibility ideal.
We will definitely be back. Thank you
This is the second visit to BrckhouseFarm Cottages for our family and yet again has never failed to impress us all with the place and facilities provided for our special needs, the level of personal service by the family and staff were second to none ,Access to both the Bistro and Hydrotherapy pool is great as is the Quality of food, can highly recommend this venue for any family whose needs are a little special.

We adore Brickhouse! Immaculately clean, wonderful staff who can’t do enough for you, and the food is superb (as is the wine). We’ve never been anywhere where we can truly relax as a family. 2/3 of us are in chairs so holidays were always stressful until now :) . Everything is adapted, even the hot tubs have a hoist! Our son loves it so much he learnt to say ‘tub’. Counting the day until our next visit. Thank you :)
3rd year at Holly cottage, what a lovely and friendly place. Nothing is to much trouble for the staff. We find it difficult to eat out as our daughter does not tolerate people around her it makes her noisy very noisy. So the Staff kindly brought take out to our cottage for us. What a lovely thing to do. I would so reccomend a visit and stay at Brickhouse cottages . All adapted for wheelchair access and hoists even access to hot tub which my daughter loved. So a big thankyou to all the staff at Brickhouse and we will see you again next year

This is 5 star accessible accommodation. Not only do they provide ceiling track hoists - even for the hot tub - and lots of other equipment but the properties are beautifully decorated and furnished. It feels rather luxurious.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. You felt that they genuinely cared and took a real pride in the place.
We thoroughly enjoyed the Bistro. It was an added bonus to be able to eat well on site.
I must also mention the resident ducks which were an added delight.

The cottage was amazing. Great for my wheelchair user husband with enough space to share with my daughter and her children. The hot tub was a welcome extra.
Just what we needed after the lockdown.

A beautiful place to stay. Cant recommend highly enough.
Brilliant modern facilities a home from home with everything you could need without it feeling a clinical space.. making the holiday one we could all relax on and enjoy. The team are so friendly and on hand .. nothing was too much trouble. It says a lot when the family of x4 twenty year olds ask u to rebook for next year within a day of staying there!. A week never seems long enough. We are already counting down to our stay next year.

We can't praise Brickhouse Farm enough,I have lost count of the number of times we have stayed, must be over 20.We both love it,our 'little piece of paradise'.The cottages are lovely, the staff can't do enough for you and the Bistro is excellent. Can't wait to get back in a few weeks.
Fantastic facilities but little things annoyed me.
There’s no doubt that the standard of accommodation is great and having a ceiling track hoist and lovely wet room make life much easier when looking after my tetraplegic husband. In saying that, it is what you’re paying for. However, I struggle to understand how the in-house brochure can say the price is £760 and yet you’re charged £100 for a profiling bed etc. giving a total cost of over £1100! Other places we stay, these things are included free if charge. The little things that I’m annoyed about are: no hand soap in the bathrooms; not enough toilet rolls for a few days never mind a week; only samples of the washing up liquid etc that they insist you use; discrepancy between hydrotherapy pool cost in brochure and actually paid (£35 vs £40); having to clean thoroughly and strip the beds before leaving (which when you’ve a young child and a severely disabled husband isn’t easy when packing) despite cleaners coming in as soon as you leave.
These points all disappointed me and are the reason it isn’t 5star.

Perfect from beginning to end. Easy to book, tranquil and scenic location, stunningly thoughtful and perfectly accessible lodges for everyone, particularly those with physical disabilities. Homely, modern, clean, spacious, welcoming and incredibly comfortable. Close enough to Blackpool to see the sights and visit the attractions there, but just far enough away to think you're on a relaxing retreat. Can't recommend it enough. We will definitely be back!

Pine cottage. Brick house farm cottages complex is a brilliant place for the disabled and the facilities they offer, except for the pot holes from the car park to the cottages when you have a wheelchair to manoeuvre. When it rains the pot holes fill with water making everywhere really dirty. The cottage itself was not the same standard as our previous visit in 2017. The wet room on arrival had faeces on the shower chair and the floor looked like it hadn’t been mopped for weeks. We had to clean all 3 bathroom floors and toilets before we could use them. On inspection of the mattresses we found urine stains on one hairs on another and coffee or fetal stains on another. The two carpets in the downstairs bedrooms had more stains than the natural colour of the carpets. The tiled floor downstairs had dirty footmarks around the entry sight plus more fluff under the settee than on a sheep’s back, finding under the settee a yogurt pot and orange cartoon and a bottle of hand cleaner. The only let down in the kitchen was the fridge which didn’t work properly as the door didn’t fit the appliance which resulted in us losing a lot of food. After a day out we came back to rain pouring out of the gutter above the front door making it hard to gain entry wen we did get in the inlaid dooor mat was flooded. We rang to tell them two days later someone came to clear the guttering and we were told we had ruined his evening by fetching him out. On departure day we told them all the problems we had and they agreed with our findings that what we said was true and received an email to confirm this.
Just used the hydrotherapy pool for the first time. It's fantastic and have booked to go again. Highly recommend these facilities to everyone.

An amazing place with facilities that make your stay so much easier than it might otherwise be. Just finished our 4th week there and already booked for next year. The addition of the new hydro pool and bistro make it even better and looking forward to the sensory room next time too. Staff are all so lovely with nothing too much trouble. Many thanks to you all once again
