We have really appreciated the efforts of the Broughty Ferry team in helping us to introduce an initial package of support for our mum who has dementia. The thoughtful approach to finding the right carer 'match' and the sensitivity and flexibility in the way the initial package of support has been introduced has meant that even by the second visit our mum was looking forward to seeing the carer. It is wonderful to see the balance of professionalism, warmth and patience shown by the carer and to see the positive impact this is already having for our mum.

Bright Care have been a god send to our family looking after my mother and late step-father (both with dementia). Nothing has been too much trouble for the Care Manager, office staff and carers who have acted with the utmost professionalism when looking after our parents and dealing promptly with any queries that we may have.
The carers certainly go above and beyond in their care and treat my mother with the utmost respect and we would certainly recommend Bright Care as you know your loved ones are in safe hands.

My dad has been living at home on his own since the first lockdown with support from Bright Care. He has dementia however he was never skilled in the area of looking after the house and cooking anyway. He has been content in mood throughout. He continues to thrive, he is well fed and looked after. The relief to us all knowing that Bright Cares has been caring for dad over this time is huge. We are so thankful that Bright Cares got the service in place just in time.

Well trained, highly personable carers and well organised hands-on office staff, who are genuinely interested in their clients' wellbeing. Bright Care offers an excellent service which I have no hesitation in recommending to anyone looking for at-home care for their loved ones.

The Stirling Brightcare team did an amazing job looking after my Dad, all the carers were fantastic and went the extra mile for him, he really enjoyed all their visits and knowing he was so well looked after gave us great piece of mind. Thank you very much to everyone on the team for helping keep my Dad safe and well and brightening his day.

Our family can’t thank the Broughty Ferry Brightcare team enough. The care managers and carers were professional and thorough in their assessment and care of our Mum. Communication was excellent so we always knew what care had been provided on a day to day basis and were made aware of any issues. The care manager was responsive to our needs for increasing levels of care and everyone went above and beyond what would be expected. The carers were so kind to Mum and they were a great support to the rest of the family too. I would have no hesitation in recommending Brightcare to anyone.

Brightcare helped care for my mother for two and a half years after she broke her collarbone and became less able to look after herself. Throughout the period I found them professional, helpful and friendly. They were straightforward to deal with and my made my mother’s life much easier, helping her to remain in her own home and driving her around when she needed to go out. Her carers also provided friendly companionship. They were fantastic in dealing with the situation when my mother became ill near the end

Without Brightcare we would have really struggled to support my mother's needs over the past three years. As he mobility issues increased they were always able to adapt the care package, and the 24 our live-in care arrangement was just what my mother needed, and it helped to maintain a degree of independence.
The care taken in matching carers so that my mother felt she had real support was always exemplary, and the support given to all of us in her final weeks was invaluable. We cannot thank the staff enough.

Sadly, my Dad died early in August. He had always instructed me to make sure that he lived out his life at home and this was his outcome.
Having been frail for some years we asked Brightcare to help care for him a couple of years ago, and he received an increasing amount of input until he was put on end of life care a week before he died.
Throughout this time the Brightcare team were outstanding not only in delivering the service but especially in his last few days, helping him to end his life in a dignified and peaceful manner. Every carer and manager involved were fantastic.
They were all compassionate, helpful, genuine, practical and professional throughout as they delivered care themselves and coordinated other care from the NHS.
We all know the importance of people to any organisation, and the quality of people they hire, the standards they set, and that they delivered, were exemplary.
It was a sad few days, but Brightcare made it easier. Thank you and well done

The Brightcare team are marvellous and always ensure my mum receives the highest level of care. Nothing is too much of an ask. When we need to add additional steps and asks to the care plan the team work together seamlessly to implement. From the Carers through to the Care Managers, the full team show empathy and professionalism and work so well together. They share care plans, information about mum's routine and preferences to ensure that she has a consistent experience across package. My mum is safer, happier and more comfortable due to the team's great work.

My wife had almost two months in hospital and came out in a bad state. Bright Care has only just opened in Haslemere and is still borrowing staff from their Cranleigh office. They are exactly what I wanted. Staff who will do whatever is required. They are very likeable and easy company - a pleasure to have in the house. Initially my wife was not keen on having strangers in the house but is now very happy for them to come in. It takes time to get and train the best staff and ii am looking forward to when they will be able to provide me with the hours I want

My 87 year old friend sustained a spinal injury following a fall at home. After a period in acute care and rehabilitation she was discharged in November 2019.
It was obvious the initial council care package was inadequate for her requirements.
I am also her Power of Attorney and following discussions with her a more comprehensive care package was required to allow her to stay at home.
I investigated the private care agencies in the Stirling area and chose Bright Care as the agency I thought would meet her increasing personal, emotional and dietary requirements.
How right I was.
From the initial interview with the care manager I knew I was with a well organised ,professional company.
The manager introduced the carers who would be providing the care to my friend and myself.
This started a care journey of 12 months.
It was obvious early on in this journey her care needs were increasing and in fact it was an end of life journey.
The care my friend received was beyond my expectations.
The carers were obviously well trained meeting all aspects of her care needs.
It was good to have the same carers over this extended journey. They understood her needs and supported her in every way possible.
The manager communicated with me weekly and visited my friend regularly.
As she deteriorated I was able to discuss and increase the care as required.
In the last weeks both day and night were covered.
This care journey was seamless. Not only was my friend supported but my needs were addressed in a most caring way.
It was so appropriate that my friend got her wish to die at home.
This was only possible with the support of Bright Care.
At no time was I concerned with any aspects of her care. Every aspect was covered. Any concerns the carers had was quickly identified and reported to me via the care manager.
I will always be grateful to this outstanding care agency.

I found Bright Care online and was very impressed by their values and ways of working on website.
I applied for a job and got the invite to the interview.
Recruitment coordinator Mari was very nice and made me feel very appreciated.
However, I was asked to come for the interview to be held in the Edinburgh office. ( I was a bit unsure at a time considering I had to travel from Newcastle, but I was explained and confirmed that it was what they wanted.)
I arrived for the interview and it was there where problems started. I was met very rudely by the interview manager Nicki G., whose meeting sentence was “You are not suppose to be here”. I had to explain that I had been confirmed. She never apologised or offered me some water. I was rushed to the office and it looked that they were not ready for it. Everything could have been easily done on skype.
I received no insight about the job or the company. My questions were not clarified. However, I responded to HR as requested, got a job offer and once I asked to provide me with more details with regards to training, there was just silence.
The team appeared very unprofessional and I was not able to understand how they were able to recruit the best calibre people? I was hugely disappointed.

Have been worried about leaving my husband overnight recently so was delighted to find Brightcare would provide cover when necessary. Have also started having someone come in for a couple of hours over lunchtime if I am to be away all day. The carers are first class and my husband has been extremely happy with them, cheery and efficient and easy to chat to. I would recommend them to anyone!

I have found Brightcare a very good organisation to work with. They have a terrific team of Carers - mostly very well-trained, all extremely caring. They are very responsive - and I can imagine how challenging their job must be at times as there are really no margins for error. Their clients need caring for and some, I know, can be extremely demanding! The office in Melrose led by Sonia with Gillian and Karen is efficient and responsive and their hand-overs and careful procedures are clearly excellent. Top marks!

We have been working with Bright Care for about eight months providing care for my mother. I can highly recommend them. They are friendly, professional and the carers they have sent us over the months have been lovely. They are very adaptable with last minute requests and have made the whole process very easy. Thank you for providing such a great service. Henrietta

I engaged Brightcare just before the restrictions started to provide additional support to my mother. I have been very impressed with both the managements approach and that of individual carers. Their anticipation of issues, responsiveness and genuine care has been much appreciated during difficult times. Thank you Amanda
