The thought of putting our mother into the care of others was very difficult, however necessary it was. I can't thank Brightcare and all the wonderful women from the Melrose office who have been with us every step of the way. It makes all the difference to us knowing that our mother is in excellent hands. Thank you to every one of you......you are all amazing.

Bright Care have been such a reassuring presence since my parents moved back to Edinburgh. The carers are so consistently supportive, imaginative and sensitive to the needs of others. Having a named contact in the office is a real comfort and when additional care was required a few months ago they couldn't have done more to put something in place.
As I type this we are in shutdown due to the Coronavirus and knowing that Bright Care are there for my parents is beyond price.

Several years ago a hospital pshychatrist arranged for our ( at that time) recently bereaved mother to " stay " at a community hospital - I really wished I'd used my better judgement and not permitted this to happen .
After I eventually managed to get her out of hospital - I arranged an initial meeting with Brightcare Stirling . I can honestly say that had I known about them before the incident Mum wouldn't have had to endure the unpleasantness of the community hospital....... but that's easy with hindsight to say hindsight.
Mum needed some extra support after the hospital and I had to return to work.
3 years after that initial meeting and of continual P/T support for my Mum , I can honestly say I don't think care can be any better than Brightcare provide . The staff are SO attentive and most have had experience of Dementia or in other care so know EXACTLY what's best to do in any situation. I ABSOLUTELY 100 PER CENT recommend this company to anyone who has a relative or loved one who requires extra support.
They really DO go above and beyond the call of duty
Oh and my mother - she was gardening and grafting in her garden ,just last week joking and laughing, getting along fine with her bright care carer - what a difference from being locked up 24/7 in an old hospital.

Bright Care have been caring for my parents on a daily basis for the past year now. They have been absolutely wonderful and the level of care they provide is as good as it gets. It is clear that it is more than just a job to the carers as their attention to detail is a credit to them all. I couldn`t recommend them highly enough. They have played a vital role in allowing my parents to remain in their own home.

I have used the services of Bright Care, Edinburgh for a number of years now. The service and care which my aunt receives is wonderful. She originally used the company for a few hours a week but now she requires help on a daily basis. I would recommend Bright Care to anyone looking for a first class caring service.

Bright care is a company that just as its name implies is both BRIGHT and CARING. They are an extremely caring company treating every client as an individual and with dignity and understanding, unlike the previous company that I was with when I came out of hospital a couple of years ago;with Bright care one is treated as an individual and the proof is that unlike other companies in the healthcare field they have a very low turnover of staff, all of whom seem to enjoy their work.

Brightcare have been helping my mum (and me!) for 6 months - their support has made a huge difference to us both. The carers are reliable, flexible and highly professional, doing whatever they can to maintain mum’s independence and quality of life. Being able to rely on their support has relieved the pressure on me and given me some breathing space. Full marks to everyone in the Brightcare team.

I have complete trust in Bright Care and the care they give to my mum. Not only does Anne help my mum with household chores she also takes her shopping, to doctors appointments and, most importantly, she is a great companion - they get on like a house on fire! The fact that my mum looks forward so much to seeing Anne is testament to how valuable this service is...and gives me enormous peace of mind. Very happy to recommend.

Bright Care have provided a professional and extremely supportive care package for my elderly mother who has limited mobility. They have provided a reliable, consistent and very caring service which has helped her to regain her confidence after suffering 2 falls. I would definitely recommend this company.

Brightcare is an extremely professional, friendly caring organisation who have been providing my mother with live-in care support for the last two and half years. They have supported her and her family through a difficult period of deteriorating dementia exacerbated by reduced mobility following two hip operations. Throughout all the trials and tribulations the Brightcare staff have been thoroughly professional and more importantly shown a true caring attitude and all important sense of humour.

I was delighted to discover Bright Care. The way these things often happen, I urgently needed to find care for my father after a fall and a surprise spell in hospital, and was on the train to Scotland, ringing as many care companies as I could find online with poor signal! Bright Care were immediately exceptional in being both extremely caring and very professional from that very first phone call. They quickly made an assessment visit, and then arranged cover for my father - all within days of my calling. The care provided has been - again - exceptional, in being very responsive to my dad's needs, and always adapted to the immediate circumstances. This quality Bright Care have of listening to clients carefully, and appreciating the details of what a vulnerable elderly man might need, is actually rare among care agencies, I have found. They have been caring for my dad for over a year now, and we have been consistently delighted with the lovely carer, Ann, who goes above and beyond to help my dad live independently in his own home. She is always respectful to him, very kind and full of warmth and gentle humour - qualities which help this very isolated gentleman feel he is still valued and cared for. We simply cannot put a cost on this kind of care, and are enormously grateful. I would not hesitate to recommend this company unreservedly to anyone looking for high quality, tailored care for their loved ones.

Bright Care has been invaluable to our family by providing companionship and support to my aunt over the past several months. We live in Canada and knowing that the carers were with her for several hours each day gave us great peace of mind while we were arranging for her move back to Canada. Bright Care began caring for my mum and dad just under seven weeks ago. I spent some time researching private care and Bright Care stood out from the start as being the company of choice. The service provided has not disappointed. It took a few weeks for the care to start, as Fiona wanted to ensure the best match of carer for my parents. Her choice has been perfect. As well as looking after my mum with Alzheimer's, Janie has taken over many household tasks such as cleaning and laundry. This has eased the burden for my dad and given him time to rekindle friendships and resume former hobbies and interests. I now have renewed hope that my parents can safely stay together in their own home.

BrightCare have been helping look after my elderly father (who's now 92) for a number of years. I did a lot of research before choosing them and have never regretted my decision. They're 100% reliable, flexible and very understanding of Dad's needs. The ladies don't just 'do their job' - they do it with kindness, compassion and a great deal of professionalism. They often go above and beyond and Dad very much looks forward to their regular visits.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. An outstanding service.

I have nothing but the highest praise for Bright Care. I have been with them for 2 years. As a partial sighted person I am grateful for all their help and care they provide to get out and about which I found really daunting in the early days. I was touched that my regular carer Donna was given extra training to fulfil my needs with my sight problems.
The office staff are always friendly, ready to answer questions. Nothing is too much trouble. I have reviews frequently and my needs are met fully. Bright Care helps me to maintain my independence.

Brightcare have been instrumental in allowing my mother who is over 90 to remain in her own home.
My mother broke her leg last year and her carer was happy to visit my mother in hospital whilst she was recovering which was very helpful in keeping continuity and contact.
