The worst estate agent ever
The worst estate agent we have ever had to deal with. Sales team are pushy when they are trying to get your money and then entirely unavailable when you need something from them. Legal and accounts team are rude and will flat out lie to you. Would never use again and would actively discourage anyone I know from using them.

Frustrating - need to do the chasing
Our initial experience with Brinkley’s via Ben was positive. He was efficient and well organised. However, as soon as we agreed to let and paid the deposit, communication from Brinkley’s stopped. We had to chase to find out our move in date and contract signing. There was also an issue where Brinkley’s had not communicated with the landlord who did not know we would be moving in so nothing was ready. 2 months after moving in, we are still chasing the inventory report from Christina.

Brinkley's - reliable and helpful
Brinkley's were very reliable in the sale of our property. They responded to phone calls and emails promptly and were efficient at chasing our buyer. They were always willing to help and even found us a last minute delivery van when ours failed to show up on removal day! Would certainly recommend.

Graeme was extremely efficient
Graeme was extremely efficient . When we had a problem with someone who had backed out at the last minute, he quickly made contact with someone he thought would be interested and it all went very smoothly and completed by June 30th !
Would highly recommend

Sold flat for above asking within a week of being on the market
Couldn't recommend Graeme and his team more highly. We always felt very comfortable with Graeme in our home, and were always made to feel that every part of the process was our choice (e.g. asking price, viewing times, etc). Mostly importantly, he sold our flat for above asking price within a week of it being on the market - at a highly competitive rate of commission. Would use again without hesitation.

Graeme at Brinkley’s excellent service
Graeme , on behalf of Brinkley’s, provided excellent service when selling our house. The rate offered was best available on the market , but without compromising the quality of service. Graeme was knowledgeable , easily contactable, responsive to our needs and questions. He offered valuable advice and kept things moving smoothly towards completion. He helped us choose the right buyer out of the offers we received. Overall, we were happy with the service and are happy to recommend Brinkley’s services.

I am very happy I chose Brinkley's to sell my flat. Graeme was very realistic when evaluating the property and in only 2 weeks we got an offer. I was abroad during all the process but Graeme kept me updated on all issues. I would recommend Brinkley's 100%.

They are the worst agency ever bunch of liars and money robbers , avoid, avoid, avoid
When we rented the property they did a interim report which is mention a lot of damage to the property was done by the landlord before we moved in , when we moved out they did a check out report they put a lot of the stuff which was mentioned as a damage from the landlord as we caused the damage just to charge us more money and mad us loose our deposit .

Agent flat out lied to us
Had a very bad experience with Brinkley's. Would never use again. The lettings agent (Ben) lied to us about various things. E.g. when we looked round the property, next door had scaffolding up and building work going on. We asked Ben how long the works would be going on for and he said 4-6 weeks (I have email proof). We only found out after we moved in and spoke to the landlord that the works would actually be going on for months! The landlord specifically told Ben to tell us this and Ben told him he had and that it was fine as we didn't work from home - he never told us and we both work from home...
He also told me that we could pick up the keys a day earlier than we actually could so added a lot of extra stress last minute when we find out the night before that we couldn't. Plus we only received our contract the night before moving in.
Overall, very unprofessional and added extra stress to an already stressful event.

Selling Apartment - Wimbledon
We didn't feel like the representative Graeme Gordon had our best interest and was completely driving the sale without any vendor background checks, communication was really poor and would "copy and paste" emails from the potential buyer, not motivated to sell the property and never proactive in the process. There is no chain to escalate and remove complacency from the motion or if we were not getting the correct attention due to whatever reason. My advice is pay a little bit more commission and go to a competitor as the experience was woeful.

Website does not comply with GDPR
Their website does not provide an opt-in or opt-out for tracking cookies. This means Brinkley's can track your site usage through on-device cookies despite not having your consent.
Brinkley's needs to comply with the EU/UK GDPR, which has been in effect since 2018. It is not difficult to implement functionality for cookie opt-ins.
My previous interaction with Brinkley's was in January 2019, when I asked to be manually removed from email communications, because the opt-out link provided in an earlier email did not work.
When I reported that the broken opt-out link could mean violating GDPR, which would warrant an investigation by the ICO, I received a call from the lettings director (Wayne).
During this call, Wayne had a meltdown over my mentioning the ICO.
He also accused me of trying to make money from said theoretical ICO investigation, showing a lack of knowledge on his part on matters relating to data protection and financial penalties for firms.
Before ending the call, Wayne told me that I was banned from viewing and letting any of Brinkley's properties. When I asked to have this in writing, he refused and hung up (like a proper grown-up).
I cannot give Brinkley's more than one star because of:
- not respecting opt-out on marketing preferences
- broken technical functionality (marketing opt-out link)
- no cookie warning and cookie preference setting on website
- unprofessional staff conduct
Don’t recommend at all
They not fulfil what was agreed on the contract. Please take pictures of everything before you moved in with them. Not recommending to my friends.
Never do a contract with this ones! You will regret!
The beginning of our tenancy was troubled, we sign contract to an unfurnished flat and when we arrived it was fully furnished. It took us e-mails, me going to the state agent asking for them to please remove the furniture. After a few stressful moments they came, took it and left them by the bin area which is not legal.
During our tenancy twice 2 different men came in the property unannounced with keys. First one was a very scary situation, the second, when I heard the door I thought it was my husband but no, a state agent came in the flat with not even ringing the bell! Thankfully I was with a friend or I would be very scared. I can’t imagine if in both moments I was in the shower or something! I was very very scared and felt very unsafe.
Today we received the inventory/property check where they said the furniture that belongs to the landlady was an issue, I really thought they were saying it was missing! I can’t understand why it is an issue.. anyway, when I tried to talk to them my first e-mail received didn’t explained about furniture, it was a very rude e-mail saying that if we hired a cleaning company to ask for our money back.I believe that living for years in a property makes it impossible to be spotless, but we did our best, we hired 3 different professionals to help us. Now they are taking 250£ to clean 1 bedroom and 1 kitchen that the only problem was a bit of dust in the heater.
Still I would like that it would have been properly explained what was happening instead of a rude e-mail response.
My previous experience was with Ellisons and we cannot compare, we were treated as humans, they have always been kind to us. I can never go with brinkleys again and my friends know that too for sure!
Please understand that tenants deserve respect too!
This has been the worst letting agent…
This has been the worst letting agent experience of my life. The customer service and communication from ‘senior’ members of staff is appalling and the rudeness to tenants is staggering. We have had so many issues and have been constantly undermined as tenants. I would not recommend them to anyone ever.
