Good customer care
We received our mattress delivery nearly a month ago but since then have just not got on with the mattress. We called bbs to put their 30 day exchange to the test, the young man on the phone was very polite and helped us choose another mattress around the issues we had with the first one. The new mattress is fantastic and just what we needed. I have to say the whole experience with bbs has been second to none and one I would strongly recommend.
Awful company and terrible service
We ordered a mattress and a bed early December as we were moving into an unfurnished flat. The whole process has been a huge disappointment. The preferred delivery date was 3rd January and no one called us to say they couldn't meet that date. We have called them so many times and each time haven't been given any clear reason. Then we were told that they had an issue with silent night mattresses but we would hear soon. We then called them on Monday to ask where our order was (this is now three weeks late), and were told that it had now arrived but we couldn't get a delivery date. Three more calls to them last week and we finally were told delivery would be on Sunday morning. It's now Sunday morning and a dirty mattress has turned up (disgusting), and the bed (and the mattress protector which was meant to be a sign of goodwill) have both NOT arrived. We have guests coming to stay and now they will need to sleep on the floor. Absolutely appalling service. We also got three texts confirming delivery and three texts confirming the time - three products, three messages, makes sense, however we only got one of the products. If I were you I would pay slightly more and go with another company - at least you'll get the products you've ordered that way. Who knows if we will ever get the bed we have ordered. I suppose we will have to take another day off work to get this delivered.

Prompt service!
We ordered a leather ottoman bedstead for delivery next day. Needless to say it arrived the following morning 10:30am. The bed is good quality and was well priced. Faultless service!
Still Waiting for delivery.
I ordered a bed on the 3rd January and picked the 17th Jan for my prefered delivery date. The day before delivery date i hadnt heard anything so rang BBS they were very helpful, apologised and rang the courier. I was then told it is not out for delivery on the 17th and someone will ring me by the end of they day. I recieved no phonecall. I rang 2 more times and was told the same thing that the courier will call me back. I have just rang BBS this morning and was given the couriers number to ring up myself. Having rang them i have been told my delivery isnt planned to go out next week so delivery probly qont be until the following week!!
BBS have been great and apologetic. The courier however, useless! I would suggest you look into finding another as potentially my bed wont be delivered until 3 weeks after my prefered date!

Easy to order, good customer call centre, poor and unclear website with unhelpful delivery staff
Overall fine, however, we went with British bed stores as we thought the bed would be assembled on arrival. The website suggests this is the case and only upon further investigation do you realise this is only for certain models. I would suggest you make this very clear on the front of your site as it is misleading customers. The delivery man wasn't much help and suggested that he had already had the same issue 3 times that day. Price wise is good, and we are very happy with the end product but only after 5 hours of setting it up!

Beware the courier service
I've debated what to put in this review, as I had a very mixed experience. I ordered my mattress on 5th Jan and requested a delivery date of 17th Jan. Obviously the website is very clear that this is just a provisional date, and the courier would contact us. Given the mixed reviews on TrustPilot and the fact I hadn't heard from either the courier or British Bed Stores, the day before I was expecting delivery, I telephoned to confirm that I would be receiving my mattress the next day. They said no, it was due to be delivered the following weekend, when I was away. After a long conversation with a man called Dave, where I tried to explain my frustration that I hadn't been contacted to explain that my delivery date had been moved, nor to check that their revised delivery date was convenient, he went away to speak to the courier, and they eventually managed to arrange delivery on the Sunday, only a day later than expected. I was told the courier would text me on the Saturday to confirm they were definitely delivering on the Sunday. When no text arrived, I tried to contact BBS, but they were closed, so I scoured the reviews again to see if anyone had listed the name of the courier (they had - FurDeco!). Eventually found their number and called, and they said yes it was confirmed for Sunday. The moral of this story is DO NOT wait for the courier to contact you, as their website says. If you haven't been contacted and you have limited days where you can accept delivery, make sure you call in advance to confirm your delivery date. I would suggest to British Bed Stores that you might wish to reconsider your choice of courier, or at the very least improve your communication processes between you, your courier and your customers. Unfortunately, making it clear that the delivery slot is provisional does not excuse poor communication in confirming the actual delivery slot. If not for the lack of communication, this would have been 5 stars, as we love the mattress, and once the delivery slot was confirmed, all went smoothly.

Service exactly as promised
I am extremely pleased with my purchase of a mattress from British Bed Stores. The website gave me clear information about the goods and the delivery process. As promised, a text message the day before delivery informed me of the time slot and on the day a phone call narrowed this down precisely. Excellent customer service.

Company went out of its way to get me my bed early due to the fact my mum was on route for a visit. Friendly and helpful from the purchase to the delivery.
Extremely Poor Service
We ordered a mattress for my daughter on November 26th and were told that it would be delivered on Dec 8th. As such we arranged for the council to pick up the old mattress as they charge £11 and British Beds Store wanted £40 to take the old mattress. We called British Bed Stores on Dec 8th to be told that it would now be the third week in January 2015. Not happy with British Bed Stores response, we telephoned Millbrook the mattress manufacturer and were told that the mattress we ordered was no longer produced by Millbrook. When we phoned British Beds Stores to tell them what Millbrook said, they denied what Millbrook told us and that we would have our mattress in January. Today (Jan 12th) we phoned British Bed Stores and they told us that the mattress was no longer manufactured and asked us if we would like to select another mattress. We just asked for our money back to which we were told by the chap on the phone that he would need to speak with a supervisor. As far as we are concerned, we cannot trust a company that takes our money doesn't deliver the product and then denies what their supplier tells us.
Good Service
Ordered Thursday and delivery was due Monday. I had a phone call from British Bed stores to advise delivery wouldn't be until the following weekend. However not long after the carrier called to advise they could deliver on the Sunday (a day earlier than we originally expected). They advised delivery wpuld be after 2pm, arrived 12noon. Lucky I was around. They didn't realise that I'd paid for collection of my old mattress and disposal of packaging, they took the matress after showing them the confirmation, but I had to dispose of packaging after paying extra for them to take it. Still, glad it was early and it's a good matress. Would recommend seller and matress.
Very poor service
They advertise as next day delivery on the website which is absolute rubbish. I ordered my bed on the 19th December and I'm not getting it delivered until Friday 9th January. They asked for my preferred delivery date and the closest to the day I ordered was 10 days later. A day before my preferred delivery date I received a phone call from the company stating my preferred date would not be met and it would be after the 2nd January when I would get it. I then received a text from the delivery company saying it would be delivered on the 9th. Fingers crossed it turns up. All in all I will never use this company again.

Preferred delivery dates don't work
I put in a preferred delivery date of Wednesday 10th December but heard nothing from the company as to when it would be delivered. I rang then on the preferred date said it was down to the delivery firm who did ring me back to say it would be the following Monday.What is the point of telling them when I wanted it?
Suggest once you have placed your order you ring them for there delivery date

Bed base still not fully arrived
A screw up was made with the shipping of my ottoman bed base, only 2 packages were routed correctly leaving my flat cluttered with huge boxes as I cannot remove my old bed until I have received the final package. I was promised that the courier company had located the package and it would be delivered by 12 (As an 'upgrade' of service, not really an upgrade but a good gesture if they'd stuck to it) but it's now 1pm and I've wasted a whole morning waiting with still no sign of the missing parts. I hate wasting time waiting for deliveries and broken promises, this service is not good enough.
The whole experience has been very frustrating.

Awful service, such a shame..
We ordered a bed and mattress which was due to arrive on 8th December. A couple of days before the bed was due to arrive, we got a phonecall from British Bed Stores to let us know that an error had been made with their stock and they don't have the bed in stock and that it wouldn't be in stock until 15th December.
We didn't hear from them until 23rd December, when they told us that the bed would arrive on 29th December. I took the day off of work to wait for the bed to arrive. The delivery van turned up, but they only had the mattress... I asked the delivery men about the bed and they looked shocked. What bed?
I phoned British Bed Stores and asked about the bed. It seems that yet another mistake was made by someone and the bed was never ordered from the manufacturers. The manager isn't in today and because it's the Christmas holidays, the manufacturer is closed, so it looks like we'll be waiting another couple of weeks to receive the rest of our order, and I will have to take yet another day off of work to wait around for the delivery. Unacceptable.

Bed is good and as expected, all arrived in good order, easy to build, only slight issue was delivery time which was an hour outside of allocated period despite assurances that it would arrive on time.
