What an impressive place
What a fantastic day, All the staff are really friendly and helpful including Chloe and Emily in the cafe. The afternoon tea was so delicious, everything tasted homemade. The sculptures were just amazing as was the shop. Will definitely return. Fab day for all ages, would definitely recommend
Family Visit
I visited the Ironwork centre over half term with family, to prepare for a school visit. I was impressed by the range of sculptures on display, the details and information to support the idea and designs. My children were delighted to see their most loved characters brought to life. The centre is large and spacious and is well laid out my kids were happy to wander around and it was not crowded over the half term. We had a voucher to use over half term, so only had to pay for half of our admission fee, this was reasonable and reflected the items we were visiting.
The staff were very welcoming and the cafe and shop was a treasure trove of all delightful pieces. I will be returning not only with my class visit but personally to get the full Christmas experience. It all looks fantastic!
Great Place
Visited twice now. Love the place. Love the ingenuity of some of the sculptures - the Knife Angel was amazing! Great for kids - and off peak entry prices very reasonable.
The Forge Cafe is well worth a visit - food good, reasonably priced and good value. Plenty of choice with scones to die for! Looking forward to indulging in an Afernoon Tea in the future.
Good shop with many quirky things to buy.

Charged £14 entry each to view and then buy a lampost. £4 parking also. I made it clear we had only come to purchase lampost. To add insult we were refused entry to the cafe as we only had a buyers ticket. What a rubbish place!!.
Cafe awful , sculptures great
The sculptures are really impressive however the cafe was a nightmare, waited an hour and half for a couple of sandwiches and coffee !!! I went after an hour to request a refund as we had waited so long , the lady said she would first check with the kitchen and advised the food was ready , I thought ok fine , went back to the table , bought out 1 meal and still no sandwiches or drinks ! Another 20 mins later after watching several staff i and out and asking twice more where the food was it eventually came out !! The best of it is the website advises you use thier cafe , however waiting and 90 mins for a couple of sandwiches was ridiculous and then to be lied to was just disgusting to be honest !! Was so fed up we ended up leaving the place shortly after , take your own food or be prepared for a very very very long wait !!

Fantastic trip for the children
I absolutely love driving passed the British ironworks and seeing the amazing sculptures they have created and displayed at the entrance. I can’t wait to come with our reception class to explore all the other amazing things. Thank you ironworks for arranging a great trip for our little ones.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ day out
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
We had an amazing day out at the British Ironworks! The sculpture park is absolutely incredible – full of impressive and unique pieces that really capture the imagination. The children loved exploring and discovering all the different sculptures, and it made for such an engaging experience.
The staff were welcoming, friendly, and very helpful throughout our visit. It’s a place that combines creativity, learning, and fun beautifully.
A well-recommended day out for families, schools, or anyone who appreciates art and nature together.

Always enjoy seeing the new sculptures and trails to take the children around. Friendly, helpful staff with lots of choice in the gift shop and the coffee shop. Delicious afternoon tea!

We visited the British Ironwork Centre on a school trip and had a fantastic time. The staff were welcoming and knowledgeable, and there was so much to see and learn. The sculptures were incredible!

Great day out. Amazing sculptures. I would definitely recommend.
Excellent location with lots to see
Excellent location with lots to see, lovely cafe and shop and the staff are very friendly
Poor quality items
Poorly made poker for the chiminea. First use the end has melted. Made out it’s made to order yet the label said ‘Made in China’. We had the same poor quality hook for a hanging basket: it bent when we hooked the basket on. Expensive at £50. Ordered another one at a local garden centre for £12 and it’s still hanging! Foolishly I ordered from the same company as a surprise birthday gift. Won’t be fooled again.
I would like to update my review as the company quickly refunded me for both items. Claire was extremely apologetic for the quality of the items and assured me this was the usual standard. Many thanks. I’ve upped the stars awarded rating to two because of this.
