This is one amazing platform to shop…
This is one amazing platform to shop for my groceries. I made my second purchase last week and was enlighten by their good customer service. High quality products and their quick shipping.
Good website
I know this website it is easy to access, their product quality is good, shipment is quick and they have Good Customer service.I recomend this website to visit.
If you have a problem then expect zero accountability from BOS
An order that i placed last year was rejected/cancelled on 3 separate occasions. The 3rd time payment was debited to my account and then subsequently cancelled/recredited back the next day. BECAUSE IT WAS A SINGAPORE DOLLAR CARD TWO DIFFERENT EXCHANGE RATES WERE USED RESULTING IN A $20 LOSS.
BOS were not interested in getting to the bottom of the problem. There attitude is no money no order, try another card.
As many have said if something goes wrong dont expect them to do anything about it. They simply have no interest in resolving problems that should be their responsibility.
One last point. Of course the products are great. They are leading British/International brands! BOS simply posts them after payment has been received by them and thats when the problems start. Good luck.
THE RESPONSE FROM BOS JUST TYPIFIES THEIR ATTITUDE. THEY HAVE NO CLUE ABOUT PAYMENT PROCESS AND NO INTEREST IN ADDRESSING PROBLEMS WITH THEIR MERCHANT CARD SERVICES PROVIDER. BOS IS OBVIOUSLY AN UNSOPHISITICATED UNDER RESOURCED MOM AND POP OPERATION. THANK GOD COVID IS OVER AND WE CAN GO TO UK AND BUY GROCERIES IN PERSON.

High quality products and accurate shipping time
I just received my first package of beauty products from Britishonlinesupermarket 2 days after I placed my order and that proves their accuracy in shipping time. The products came exactly in the described quality and highly appealing packaging as displayed on their website. So far I am well satisfied with their products and services and I don't mind placing my next order with them. I highly recommend this marketplace to everyone. Thanks to the management.

I'm very thankful towards British online supermarket. I came to know about it from one of my colleague. My expectations were low at first but after receiving the product, it turned out to be really good and I'm really impressed and satisfied. The products are of really good quality and the shipment was fast too although I ordered from another country. I'm sure you guys will love it too if you start using products from here;)
Genuinely Poor Service.
Rubbish service.
I ordered six Pataks Tikka Masala Curry kits.
Never arrived, and were sent back to the original sender.
No comms despite emails to them asking for refund.
Would not recommend in any way.
I'm over 30 GBP down.

An untrustworthy company - Action eventually
I placed an order with this company that was not delivered the company only gave me ‘Track and Trace’ details, they then sent me a Parcelforce claim form, I had to chase the claim and was told only the policyholder could chase it……no response from the company after numerous emails unanswered……I am still out of pocket to a significant amount of money
and had no offer of reimbursement….Do not trust this company with your business!
Victory at last it has taken this review to shake Britishonlinesupermarket into action****they have now issued a refund!....well done Trustpilot!
As of today 24.12.21 I have not received a refund, please advise when this should be received.

Delays, Unavailable items and no customer service
I made my Christmas order on 2nd December, expecting the very expensive 5 day courier would deliver in time for Christmas. The cranberry sauce was not available and 20 days later instead of arranging for a substitute brand for 1 pound more, they despatched the parcel, now estimated to arrive after Christmas. NO reply to email or phone questions. Cannot recommend. STAY AWAY.

Comment modified, company response disingenuous!
I originally gave a qualified 5* (unanswered emails), but I am modifying my comment, since the company response below is both incorrect and blasé, and disingenuous!
To be completely factual -
Firstly, I sent several emails before ordering, none of which were replied to.
After ordering, I emailed again saying – “Your advice appreciated. Please reply. I have ordered in spite of your not answering previous emails asking if you have any problems delivering to France.”
Only after posting on Trustpilot with a 3* comment about the email issue did I receive an email saying – “We have not been made of any problems with shipping to France.”
Yes, the website does say “important that you check with your “local” customs for any restrictions”. But I was ordering for France, EU, not Zimbabwe. Hence the reason for my question to the company. I would have expected them to know which products if any may be subject to duty for the EU! Clearly as I now know, there is an issue with milk chocolate. Are we expected to google the 12 or more product lines in the order to check out each one?
Or would we expect a company with regular deliveries to the EU to know?? Particularly having been asked!
And, whatever the company says, two further emails and two phone messages on the 2nd and 3rd of December have not been replied to! This company does not answer emails, and does not follow up after phone messages!! Full stop.
I have the information (Invoice, screenshots) to pass on to the company about the duty charged, where and when. But they are not interested!!
Original text -
I have given 5* because of the availability of everything I ordered, the faster than expected delivery (to France), and the excellent packing!
Maybe I should have deducted 1*, see below.
I order Christmas goods, and other things difficult to obtain here, including Christmas Puddings, Christmas Cakes, Mince Pies, McVities Dark Chocolate Digestives, Treacle Sponge, Steak and Kidney pudding, etc.
Previously I had used another major supplier to Europe, but this year they had none of the above items (and none of others also), so this was my first order with britishonlinesupermarket.
Well done!
But! I really should have deducted a point for the fact that the company just does not answer emails! Nor does it answer the phone, just a message promising to email – which never happens) I believe business is lost due to this.
However, I was charged duty on my delivery! €13.50, apparently on the £8.10 of Cadbury’s chocolates in the order. Whilst I appreciate the new regulations after Brexit, out of control of the company, I believe I should have been warned that the chocolate may be subject to duty. Having googled, I can see that this type of chocolate is dutiable.
My Order number is 000041660, and I hope the company will contact me to discuss. I have an image of the delivery and duty documentation.

Scam?
Having had one order debited on my wife's credit card, then cancelled, then re-imbursed, I placed an order myself creating an account in the process. The order was confirmed on the web page and payment processed and debited to my card. No e-mail confirmation of the account created, no confirmation of the order. Tried logging into my account; account details not recognised. Called several times after the first order got voicemail. Tried again today, left a message asking for confirmation of the second order. No reply.
Thanks for your reply and apologies for my mistake with the e-mail address. However this does not explain why the payment was rejected especially as it is still showing as debited to my account. Hopefully it will be credited by tomorrow. Also, you could have responded to my voice message this morning in which I gave you my order number, amount and correct e-mail address. There is absolutely no reason why payment should be declined on my card or my wife's. I'm afraid I'll have to use another supplier.

Great when things go well but…
Great when things go well but appallingly bad customer service when you have problems. Unable to contact BOS Customer Service by phone, messages go unanswered as do emails. Our order was sent out in two packages by Parcelforce/GLS. The first arrived promptly, but the second sat in the forwarding depot for about 13 days. The second parcel arrived at the Wissous B postal depot 6/7/2021, south of Paris, where it remained for 13 days without any apparent movement and no further information available from either Parcelforce or Colissimo except that delays were to be expected due to the Tour de France. Despite fraught phone calls to both, no one could explain the delay or give any satisfactory explanation.
Delivery was finally made the afternoon of 21/7/2021, a month after placing the order, against signature, my declaring damaged packaging. The parcel resembled a large, battered football rewrapped in LaPoste Plateforme-Briarde parcel tape to keep it all together. (Plateforme Briarde had been described in 2016 on a consumer website as the Bermuda Triangle of the postal system. Several items were either missing or damaged. We contacted BOS who forwarded the claim to Parcelforce who sent us a detailed questionnaire, which we returned with all details by post and by email. Since then - nada, rien, nothing, from either organisation despite repeated requests to respond with updates.
What is most disappointing is the betrayal of trust, both by Parcelforce, the former flagship of the British Postal Service, and BOS who we have previously recommended to numerous friends and fellow ex-pats - not anymore, too embarrassed to be associated with them. It is not so much the sum involved in the lost, damaged, or stolen items, which overall was not great, but the seeming indifference to good customer relations from two British companies that we trusted. We will be avoiding both and advising others to do likewise ...

Thank you for your reply, but I most definitely did not receive an email informing me of the non-availability of items. Happily, I've now been able to source one of them at a local corner shop.
I placed an order several days ago but have not received the promised order acknowledgement and so am unable to track my order. My email follow-up has not been answered and I've no idea when my goods will arrive. I placed my order with this company by mistake - thought I was ordering from British Corner Shop which I've used before so sent my complaint originally to them. The irony is that they answered immediately and were most helpful. If I do not hear from Britishonlinesupermarket within a day or two I shall have to try and cancel - if they can be contacted!

Overall ok but beware best before dates!!
overall I am happy with my order, only one product wasn't available and has been refunded without a problem. everything has been wrapped perfectly and delivery didn't take too long.
HOWEVER... I am not too happy with the best before dates of a few products that I have received (received my order end of October - one product expired 14/11, Percy Pigs also before the end of the year as well as other chocolates). I buy bigger quantities because delivery fees are expensive, so I don't want to have to worry about how quickly the items are going to expire. Especially chocolate & sweets should last longer than 2 weeks - just makes me doubt how old the products were since some of them did not taste very fresh.

Beware!!
On the 21st October 2021
l placed an order for groceries for £205 and received confirmation of the order. I then heard nothing so on November 1st l emailed and asked after my order and was told they were waiting on 2 items and would l accept 2 Subtitutes. I emailed to say ok. As l heard nothing from them and couldn’t contact them by phone on 5th November l emailed asking to cancel the order and refund my £205 monies. On the 9th November l emailed again still no response. I am now wondering if the companies has gone or going bust and is taking the money but not suppling the goods.
