I don't normally write reviews but had…

I don't normally write reviews but had to try to write this to hopefully help other people save their money. I just subscribed to BT sport for a month. £25.00.
Logged on to watch Spurs v Leeds game. The commentary is shocking, the program keeps buffering and the commentary is about 5 or 6 seconds ahead of the picture. I have tried to call the BT help line and because I don't have phone line with BT I was put in a queue because they are "very busy with calls". The half time break has just come on and there is no buffering in the adverts. I have cancelled my subscription (£25 wasted) I will not be taking any of BT services again as this experience has totally put me off BT. I never have any problems with Now TV, Netflix, Prime and any other streaming services.

Full of adverts, gets very tiresome

Fair enough, I get to see the Champions League, Premiership games and boxing... Which is what I've paid for.
I didn't pay for constant advertising thrown at me.
I also subscribe to Netflix and can watch whatever I want without the same ads, or any ads.... Pretty poor.

BT Sport is a Disappointment…

Signed up for BT Sports as I like watching Gallagher Rugby but their website is like a dinasaur from the 90's. For example, once you login, you go to their schedule and click on the the match you'd like to watch BUT IT DOES NOTHING. It's passive!. You have to know what you want to watch in advance and what channel it's on. Bloody useless! Even if you go to the correct channel (after wasting several minutes) you then are presented with a black screen and play sign that doesn't even tell you what the programme is. Absolutely sh**. Not sure what technology they use but it looks and feels like a bodge of old back end end with a poor front end end bolted on. I say this with some experience of legacy systems and a degree in Computer Science. The one thing they do well (or overdo) is market their products to existing customers (!) so you waste even more time once logged in trying to navigate to the programme you want to watch. Will I continue after contract. NOT if service continues at this level.

Money Grabbing BT Sport

This afternoon my son subscribed to BT Sport at £25 per month, I explained to him that as we were Virgin TV customers we already had BT Sport. We phoned up to cancel within 4 hours & after waiting almost an hour were connected to an agent, after being transferred twice We were stonewalled with the stock reply, he subscribed so he had to pay £25 for the whole month, I asked to if they could make a goodwill payment as it was an obvious mistake but was told that they never made such payments I asked to speak to supervisor / line manager, which she continuously denied me .... I asked how old you had to be to open a BT account & was told 18, but when I stated my son was only 17 they backtracked & said as long as he had a bank account that they could take a direct debit from he could open an account - when I said I wished to complain I was originally told a manager would phone me back, but then was told it was pointless as there was no dispute as the account was opened online - totally money grabbing & unhelpful ....... £25 for 4 hours - disgusting

fed up with politics in sport

Can we not watch football on the tv anymore without being told what a racist bunch we are? I am sick to death of watching football and golf on sky and BT and getting endless interviews about BLM and other nonsense.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE give us a break we are not all raving racists.
Concentrate on sports coverage leave all the other nonsense to your nearly as bad news channels.

BT Box Office be careful

I purchased a game of football on BT Box Office Sport, I didn’t realise the game was on until there was only 5 minutes left. I went to the channel and it said the game was still available so i purchased it. To my horror I was only able to watch the last 5 minutes. I complained to BT and they responded by saying because i purchased it on the Sky platform it was Sky’s fault. I have asked BT for a refund or I will stop my BT Sport subscription

Good riddance

I got rid of BT as my internet provider and that was a relief.I do have BT Sport and thought to myself it is a bit harsh to say there is nothing that merits a subscription(my son said that)but after careful analysis I have to agree. Useless commentators who are grammatically challenged biased and semi-literate would be bad enough but the channels providing banal programmes covering obscure minority sports with more commercial breaks than BT Sport Ultimate should carry a health warning. The ultimate insult is pay per view at £14.95 for each match. I contributed my money(I can afford it but won't give in to commercial coercion)to a childrens free meal charity.

Beware of signing up with BT Sports

Beware of signing up with BT Sports. Please find below an email sent to its Head of Customer Services (names taken out) highlighting why I believe BT Sports (and BT) are out of touch.

"I purchased the BT Sports Monthly Pass yesterday.  The only reason for this purchase was because of your UFC content.  Unfortunately, within a few hours, I discovered that the next UFC event (UFC 254) is not on Box Office for £19.99.  I feel this is unfair as a) it is the only PPV event that is on during social hours for UK fans and b) it is not a Conor McGregor headlining card.  I called BT within 24 hours to request a cancellation and a refund of the £25 I paid yesterday.  I spoke with ............ from the Loyalty Team, who spoke to his manager, but I was refused a refund.  Then ............ blithely told me to raise a complaint with OFCOM (as if someone within BT can't or doesn't care to fix this internally). I also feel the transaction is unfair because the T&Cs were presented to me before the purchase, but not after.  If you scroll down, the hyperlink to the "see our terms and conditions" (in red font) doesn't work.  Thus, I have no way to digest the T&Cs after the purchase, which is unfair.  Please note the T&Cs are not presented on the BT monthly pass website either (link to website removed).  T&Cs need to be transparent pre and post purchase, otherwise, in my view, the T&Cs are not fully valid.  I also feel I am entitled to change my mind within 24 hours and get a refund, not have to pay for the full month if I don't want the sub for a month.  ........ also claims that digital content is exempt from the Consumers Right Act of 2015, which I believe to be incorrect. During a long conversation with a sales person last Monday, I feel that some of your other BT Sports products don't have a 14-day cooling off period, that is, you sign up for a 24 month contract with no ability to cancel within 14 days, which is a contravention of consumer rights too.  I appreciate we are arguing over just £25 - and I do want a full refund plus compensation for having to write to you - but this issue is far more serious because I believe BT's behaviours and processes are contravening consumer rights.  Thus, I will give you seven days to refund the £25 transaction to my credit card, and b) respond to the issues raised.  On a final note, please try not to take advantage of your consumers who only subscribe for the UFC aspect.  Since BT Sports paid for its UFC rights, the amount of content has deteriorated and the charging for PPV events is an insult.  I understand your PPV buys barely get over 10,000 so the greedy money grab seems counter-productive given it loses you subscribers and/or turns subscribers to alternative means of watching these events.  There is a lot of vitriol towards BT Sports for this and other matters and you need to heed said uproar.

Expensive and difficult to cancel

Tried to cancel when my subscriptions expired in May but could not get an answer from their line so just cancelled the Direct Debit. When I finally got through in May they would only accept the cancellation from July, and sent 2 further requests for payment despite the fact that the account was in credit. Their justification was "automatically renewed subscription."
On 12th July they wrote offering a refund within 7 days - nothing arrived.
Called 17th August and waited 22 mins to be put through. Operator disputes the refund and requires me to write. No follow up phone number for the Correspondence Centre.
Avoid this organisation if you possibly can.

DAYLIGHT ROBBERY!

I just telephoned to cancel BT Sport to be told I’d signed up to a two year package and it would cost £100 to cancel. Daylight robbery BT, I only added Sport on as an additional item, it was not pointed out that it was a two year package! I will NEVER NEVER use BT again after my contract for land line and broadband is up. GO ELSEWHERE EVERYONE! Better companies and deals out there.
