Great and individual service, fantastic response time
I booked my NYC marathon weekend with Budgetplace.com as the range of option was broad and met (student) budget needs.
Unfortunately, my early booking had to be cancelled (beyond Budgetplace's controls). This was brought to my attention together with alternative options. I had many questions, to which Jake replied swiftly throughout the day. It took extra time, yes, but the service and patience was outstanding. Everything sortet (except from the training I still have to put in myself obviously :)
Highly recommended.

Has some good deals
I did book through budgetplaces.com, and found a good deal, but it was very time consuming to wade through all the options, and they varied wildly in price, comparing specific lodging with other sites. It is a tool among many.

offered cashback but refused to pay
We booked a hotel through budgetplaces via a well-known cashback site. We paid in full but budgetplaces refused to honour our cashback claim saying “Claim does not meet advertiser guidelines” which was rubbish. The budgetplaces hotel description was also inaccurate but they refused to comment on this.When we checked other reviews on the cashback site it seems that budgetplaces commonly avoid paying cashback. I will never use them again and would give them zero stars if I could.

I have booked a hotel in Vienna through budgetplaces.com. Everything worked very well and the hotel was as nice as it was described at this homepage, quite cheap, a perfect central location and the room was beautiful. I was very satisfied.
Unfortunately a little mistake happend during payment by credit card and a little too much money was charged.
But as I have contacted budgetplaces with my concern by email, a very nice person called Mattia managed every thing for me directly with the hotel and I got my money back inbetween 24 hours. This is customer service as it should be!
Next time, I need a hotel, I will book again at budgetplaces.com and I can highly recommend this website!

DO NOT USE AT ALL COSTS!
They are con artists. Not only do they not follow their own T&Cs they offer cashback which they don't pay and offer rooms which are not advertised properly. Customer services are less than useless. Avoid at all costs and book with a proper company.

Their credit is worthless
Some months ago I made a booking and got 40 Euro credit that I could spend on another booking. Super ... but no, the 40 Euro credit is actually worthless. They tell you that you can spend the credit on hotels with a Budgetpartner logo, but when I tried, I couldn't. Then I called them to make the booking on phone, but they told me that I could only spend the credit on certain hotels in Europe ... but how can I know which hotels, if I can't follow the Budgetpartner logo? In fact the credit from Budgetplaces is worthless. I don't feel I can trust this company, so I will not use it in the future. And there are many better, cheaper and more serviceminded alternatives like booking.com, agoda.com and hotels.com.

To all travelers: stay clear of this company. They find loopholes to not refund money. The 'credits' you get when cancelling a reservation is absolutely useless. They can only be applied to a very limited number of hotels where you really don't want to stay.
In addition, they deduct charges from your credit card that you don't authorize. According to them the card was declined, but low and behold, the charges are on my credit card.
Stay away if you don't have money to lose. Very disappointed, but I guess I should've listened to the many terrible reviews. Too bad 0 stars wasn't an option.

Reservation could not be honoured however deposit refunded quickly.
In May I booked a hotel in Bali for a 10 night stay in October through budgetplaces.com. Ten days later they advised that due to an availability issue at the establishment, my reservation at hotel could not be honoured. Apparently the hotel would be closing in September - temporarily or indefinitely I do not know. I thought surely this would be something they would have been aware of at the time I made my booking. Perhaps it was completely out of their control I don't know. Whatever the case may be they did refund my deposit reasonably quick without any issue for which I commend them for.

Don't use this page, they stealing money
Be careful guys and don't use this page.
I booked a room 29 april 2016 on budgetplaces.com, I got confirmation that room is reserved and they charged me 71.25E from my credit card for reservation.
Then after 8 days hotel wrote to me that they canceled the reservation, Budgetplace didn't inform me about that at all. Only when I wrote to them I got information that reservation is truly canceled.
But it's not the end of the story. They refused to give me my money back. They offered me some credits on their page, but first I need to create account and I will have 6 months to use it. What nonsense.
In summary they stolen my money and not provided service.
I really advise you to don't use budgetplaces.com if you don't wanna lose your money and nerves!!! What they offer it's some kind of joke.
