Good service
We had some problems with paying for our reservation. The next day we were called and they helped us to fix the problems. When the problems were solved the payment was easily done. I am looking forward to our stay in Rome.

Efficient service
When the hotel that I had reserved was forced to close, the staff recommended another hotel to me and gave me a generous discount. The whole process only took less than an hour.

Awesome trip to Amsterdam
I have called the first time to budgetplaces for this reservation. Mr. Jeroen Tromp was an excellente professional and help me a lot with my choice in Amsterdam. It was so helpful, he explained everything and i asked him any question about it ( transport , some info about the city)and he could help me .
For my next trip I am going to phone budgetplaces and I am going to ask that they transfer me to Mr Tromp

Beware of Budgetplaces
I submitted my complaint recently to the European Commission (EC) for the dishonesty of the this company as they have hidden fees in their booking system. I got the shock upon receiving my bill with tax fees not shown in the initial booking. It will take time before a decision is made by EC but at least their system will be investigated. Also they recommend hotels from the US that are substandard and do not care about customers who do not read reviews before making a booking. NEVER HAVE I EXPERIENCED THIS KIND OF ONLINE BOOKING DISASTER.

We always respect the tax laws of each country where we offer accommodation. In the case of the United States, standard operating procedure is that the hotel charges tax separately. We state on the hotel offer page, on the payment page and in the confirmation email the percentage of the tax as well as specifying that it is not included in the total amount of the reservation. We're sorry you were unable to see this information beforehand.

Avoid! Avoid! The company is a complete liability
I have booked a hotel through budget places for this month, I was a bit sceptical booking through them at first as I had never heard of them and wish I had gone with my gut instinct. They have deposited money out of my account for my hotel stay but failed to pass this money onto the hotel I am staying with which resulted in the hotel nearly cancelling my reservation. I have requested budget places email me a contact number which actually works as the one on the website doesn't. As a result of this the hotel has debited the full amount of my reservation from my account but budget places hasnt refunded me my deposit they have taken even though I have contacted them many times and I'm just being told they are contacting the hotel first to verify the situation. It doesn't take a week to call the hotel, they were quick enough to take my money but can't manage to put it back in? Fraudulent springs to mind and I have contacted my bank to make them aware of this issue. Avoid at all costs.

Double booking
I have a good experience with budget place but this time I met an issue when I upgraded the quantity of people for a same price. Budget sent by mistake a new booking request then I paid twice.
However, the hotel gave back the cash 10 days after investigation with budget.
