I found the website very easy to use.There was plenty of choice of hostels and B&B,s and booking was very simple.I,ve since received an email direct from the manager of the B&B I chose confirming my booking and including maps and info to make finding his place easy and my stay more enjoyable.I would recommend this site to anyone and use it again myself.

It's a fast and a good resource to find budget places to stay all over the world. I had to change the dates in one of my stays and they were very helpful and quick in giving me a solution.

I booked the ola bougainvillea apartments in santa ponsa via budgetplaces.com and was overcharged by the hotel by 90euro budget places stepped in and sorted it out within the day money was back in my account within 2 days they were in constant contact with me I was very happy with their service

After I have booked a hotel room I then was told by a friend that she can get a much better price from other website. So then I had to cancel the bookings that I have made since it is written and highlighted in red that it s Free cancellation.

After cancelling through website, I then received an email telling me that the first deposite that I have paid is credited to my Budgetplace account and I have to use it in the next 6 months! It is not returned to my bank account but to the user account.

This is kind of forcing me to use the website again to get back the deposite I have paid. Not to say that I have no travel plan in the next 6 month... So basically the company is taking away my 20pounds for nothing!

I only used two or three time the site and every time I was quite pleased.
From my part, I'll look on this site whenever in need.

Shockingly bad. I'm posting this on behalf of My girlfriend in the hope nobody else false for their misleading website and false advertising. She was left in tears after this experience and is now without money for the next month. Their website offered a deal for a hotel in New york. Quoting a price of £840 for a week. The total to pay now was £100 and pay later the balance. They then charged £972 instantly. When contacted they said that this was due to sales tax in new york that they can't calculate in their website and that this was all non-refundable or changeable.
1. The website should indicate the full price that will be taken.
2. The website should not indicate a deposit payable NOW if the full amount will be taken immediately by them or the hotel. This is not made clear at all.
Simply TERRIBLE. DO NOT USE. Booking.com offers clear pricing and would have been cheaper if we went with them. I will never make this mistake again and urge others to be clear in their booking and shop around before making this mistake.

I share this story so every one will know what i have been through, because of the mistake i made by booking from this website.

I have booked a hotel via this website in New York. After the money being paid just two days before my flight I received an email that I have to confirm my place, when I already received a confirmation from the website a couple of days before that. I was given a number that I called more than 10 times and got answered only once, and an email which they do not reply properly.

All I ended up was being in the airport, and calling the hotel and going directly to the hotel.

I did email the website regarding the problem but at first they said we have no refund, after a couple of emails they said they credit that into my account.

there is no response from now on. I can't call this a fraud because there was a terms and condition once you pay no matter what, you will never get to see your money.

We booked a room through Budgetplaces in Rome (Trinity Hostel) and surprisingly the same day of our arrival the owner of the Hostel told us that there was no room for us and he proposed a new room for us in another Hostel. The quality and location of this second Hostel was much worse, therefore we told the owner that he should look for a better place but he did not want to be responsible for it. In the end BUDGETPLACES took charge of the situation and offered us many more places, with a better quality and location, and they told us they would pay for the price difference. The service and follow-up was awesome! Alessio (a budgetplaces member) closely follow-up with us, apologized for the unconvenience and offered all his help until he solved the problem. We are very happy about how budgetplaces dealed with the problem, and they solved it and refunded the difference! Great company and great service, specifically Alessio! Thank you very much, we will always use Budgetplaces going forward! :)

Prices seemed low, but not all charges were included. Had to pay 60USD extra (15 USD per night - 4 nights), which was not mentioned at booking. Feel tricked. Complained at budgetplaces, with no succes. Got a bad excuse, referring to general conditions.

Answer hereunder is not ok. According to law, all inevitable cost should be included in price. 15$ are inevitable cost. Low price is misleading and at the end higher than competitors.

Do NOT USE BUDGETPLACE! We regularly book online and have never been disappointed before. Until now! Our experience was completely negative. We ended up paying full price for a hotel that we did not use. We cancelled immediately after booking - the feedback from other guests was THAT BAD. Why is such a hotel even being offered??? What kind of agency allows their hotels to fleece guests. NEVER EVER AGAIN!

I'm rather disappointed. I booked through budget places because with the discount voucher I received online it seemed slightly cheaper than other websites. I knew that taxes were excluded, so I was expecting to pay extra for that, however when I did the maths, I realised I got overcharged (around £35!). First and last time I book with them! I'd never recommend This website to anyone!
