Bunnings (Wesfarmers) just do better

The service from Bunnings Midland takes service to new lows. Ordered a Kaboodle kitchen and after multiple calls to correct wrong information and then waiting 6+ weeks (understandable for the colour doors) when it arrived into WA it got sent to the wrong address twice (even after l rang and told them when l got an alert it was going to the wrong place and l didn’t live on that vacant airport land nor would l install a kitchen on it).

After finally getting delivered to the right address my installer highlighted several broken wooden panels (happens with a lot of packages l get it).

Tried to get these returned and Bunnings Midland wanted me to return the whole damn 50kg+ pantry (which the installer had half in) instead of removing just two new panels from the current stock.

Do better Wesfarmers and poorly trained staff, computer illiterate and no understanding of trades or customer service.

Bummings is shite

Increasingly my visits to bummings are less as apart from their scam ads for lowest prices and they'll beat them, I can never find any staff member to help when I needed to find something especially in plumbing which is the biggest mess you've ever seen. Then when you finally find one , they say, that's not my department then send a request , wait and wait and they turn up then look on the website as they don't know shit, and have an attitude which says why are you bothering me! When I do buy something, there's always some cerebrally challenged dweeb at the entrance who wants to check my receipt! I tell them , no I just came from the checkout 2 metres away , you can't check my receipt . Bye

Marketplace Bunnings is a let down.

Their market place items are not always in stock. you order and pay, Then later recieve an email saying purchase is cancelled. It's pretty poor from a huge company. Leave a negative review and get an email saying it can't be posted, their team don't approve. How biased is that for buyers?

Bunnings is good at covering up the…

Bunnings is good at covering up the truth. I lodge a complaint on their website for a product and they sent me back feedback saying they would not accept my complaint. A garden hose that they sell is supposed to have 30 years warranty which is complete lies by gardenia they expect you to have a receipt to prove you bought the hose from them.
First of all receipts fade and you lose them. The hose was only five years old and he started leaking like any other hose. Lots of pinholes and cracks everywhere quite an expensive hose. Psychological complaint about the hose leaking and splitting and the warranty is a complete joke and they sent me a reply back saying my complaint is not accepted. It doesn’t follow their guidelines.

Bunnings Stafford

Bunnings Stafford - asked a lady in the department to give me quote on carpeting the house so showed her the plan and she said " this is beyond me . Look for a tradie to do this for you ". I thought, then why are you in this department. " Surely you are not just expected to accept payment but to answer customer queries". I hope their staff get more training in customer service.

Lowering service is just the beginning

Bunnings website has consistently got worse over the past six years on both mobile and laptop devices. A tragic example of enshitification. It takes forever to load, many of the products are incorrectly sorted into searches and its a crapshoot if products are actually on the shelves when it says they're available.
What a pity there is no realistic alternative for buying hardware given the success of their predatory destruction of competition and exclusive vendor agreements. Ive spent thousands there over the past few years, so it feels personal when basic attenpts at being a customer are frustrated. Infuriating.

Staff meeting at wrong time

Today we were at bunnings Campbelltown. While having a coffee in the cafe at around 11am we noticed in the outdoor furniture there was a staff meeting with about 20 staff. Bad time to have a staff meeting especially when people are looking for a staff member to help them.
Not impressed.

Bunnings online is awful

Two wasted trips for things that were apparently available in store online but in reality were not. So sick of their terrible crappy website and clueless customer service.

Dogs are more important than purchasers

It appears now that dogs have the upper hand (or is it paw) when it comes to bunnings shopping nowadays. People taking their dogs for a walk while they wander aimlessly around the aisles in the shop have increased in numbers recently and if bunnings thinks that I should have to push my way past the wayward pets that are not controlled by their owners, well I choose to go elsewhere when possible so that I can have a more pleasurable shopping experience. Yes dog owners, its all yours now. Give your dog a credit card.

Kings Meadows store - Staff take forever to answer the phone and then put you on hold forever whilst transferring you and you never get to speak to anyone…

Staff take forever to answer the phone and then put you on hold whilst supposedly transferring you to the department you want until the call rings out and you get cut off. When you call back, you wait over 15 minutes to try and speak to someone at customer service until you give up in disgust. Truly awful customer service.

We bought an Kitchen Couture air fryer…

We bought an Kitchen Couture air fryer for a xmas present from Bunnings online and when the person who the air fryer was for tried use it, it would not work so we went to the Batemans Bay store and were told it was not their responsibility as Bunnings only sells them for some one else. We were given contact details and told go home and try these people. But we got placed in queues that never get answered we then tried the distributor but he hung up on us so back to Bunnings. The staff there tried to contact them as well but no avail we have now spent about 3 hours being run around and generally getting nowhere

One star review

I gave a one star review to Bunnings after my purchase but they would not publish it. There was nothing offensive just my honest opinion of the goods. I wonder how many other negative reviews are treated like this.

Finally had a good experience at Bunnings Ellenbrook

I’ve been shopping at Bunnings Ellenbrook for 8 years and have always had bad experiences with the floor staff, but today was exceptionally pleasant-A big shoutout to Wendy for going the extra mile to get my barbecue from receiving it really was fantastic.
Then the checkout was just as pleasant-Thank you Ella for your great service it really was amazing.

Okay

Okay, so I got a plant stand for Christmas from a family member. One of those ones where you had to put it together yourself.🤦‍♀️ anyway as expected all did not go well with one of the pieces welded at an angle therefore not letting the screw go in properly. I took the item back to our local store and the staff there were wonderful and absolutely agreed that it needed to be replaced or refunded. There was nothing they could do to fix it.. unfortunately they don’t stock that item in that particular store ,and if I wanted that item to be sent up to that store for me to pick up -well I would have to pay for it.
Now does that seem fair to anybody?. I’m thinking not. If they’ve sold a product that is faulty ,they need to replace it and send it to the closest place to the customer rather than that customer having to go out of their way to get this item fixed or replaced.
Anyway, after a couple of trips backwards and forwards, I took the credit… I use Bunnings a lot so I was quite happy with that, and as I said the staff at that particular branch were very nice… but what annoyed me was that I wrote a review about the product on Bunnings review area and they just wrote back to me this morning and said that it doesn’t fit their criteria so they’re not going to publish it.. in other words they don’t want bad reviews -although there was quite a few about this product already on there so I’m very confused
