After sales service catastrophic...

Nice/good bike but...
Catastrophic after-sales service.
We need a spare part without which the bike is unusable.
We paid for the part through our seller (over 1,400 euros) 5 months ago, and since then we haven't received anything, not even a message explaining.
Our seller regularly sends them requests, and nothing happens.
It's a real shame because we were delighted with this bike and were even thinking about buying a second one as our family grew, but at the moment, it's impossible to recommend this bike. The slightest breakdown and your bike is destined for the trash. And let's not even mention the money spent for nothing so far..

Service après vente catastrophique.
Nous avons besoin d'une pièce détachée sans laquelle le vélo n'est pas utilisable.
Nous avons payé via notre vendeur la pièce (plus de 1400 euros quand même) il y a 5 mois, et depuis nous n'avons rien reçu, pas même un message d'explication.
Notre vendeur leur envoie régulièrement des demandes et rien ne se passe.
C'est vraiment dommage car nous étions ravis de ce vélo et songions même à en acheter un 2e car notre famille s'est agrandit mais à l'heure actuelle impossible de conseiller ce vélo. La moindre panne et votre vélo est bon pour la poubelle. Et ne parlons pas de l'argent versé pour rien à ce jour...

After nearly four months and 800 kilometers, I couldn’t be happier with my decision to invest in the MK1-E Gen. 3 Automatic. Transitioning from car commuting to biking was seamless, thanks to this absolute beast of a cargo bike. Yes, it’s pricier than most alternatives, but after test-riding nearly everything available in Copenhagen, I can confidently say the MK1-E stands out in both quality and riding experience.

The tilt-system takes a little getting used to, but once you do, it’s unmatched in handling and ride smoothness. The build quality is top-tier, with an incredible attention to detail and a sleek, stunning design that turns heads. My only comment would be the mustache and hat logo, which might not suit everyone’s taste – but luckily, it can be peeled off!

What makes the investment even more worthwhile is the outstanding support from Nicholas and the technical team at the flagship store in Kødbyen. Their patient, knowledgeable service ensures that both you and your bike are well taken care of. With this level of quality and support, I have no doubt my MK1-E will prove its worth for many years to come.

20,000km so far, 5 years (sun, snow, rain, never a problem). And I still love it like at the first day. do not hesitate it s a sure investment

I have had nothing but issues with this bike. I purchased an early Gen 3 that is plagued with issues. Butchers does not appear to vet thier dealers either. Nothing but issues with them as well. Hopefully my experience is isolated as it has been an excruciating ordeal.

We couldn't be happier about our Butcher & Bicycle bikes. It's fun to drive, light and fast. The tech works so well, it's innovative, convenient, and it simply works.

We carry our two boys every day to school, and it makes our mornings a true pleasure. Followed by a day driving around in the city from one work meeting to the other. Highly reliable.

Service is very professional, helpful and overall outstanding! It is worth every cent.

The return on investment is super high as it gives such a higher quality of everyday-life!

We just bought our first cargo bike ever, and we picked the MK1. The bike seems to be extremely good quality and smooth to ride.

Since we have just purchased it, and need a little more time to review the bike itself, I can only talk about the experience of buying it.

We love the fact that B&B is a Copenhagen company since people really know their bicycles here. The clever design idea for the tilting feature, the attention to detail shown by the glove compartment, the awesome GPS tracking system, and the see-through door, are all proof to us that it's a very well thought out product.

We also really appreciated Shane's professionalism. He answered so many questions, he seemed very passionate about bikes and he showed us he cared about our experience with the bike even after we purchased it. It was refreshing to talk to him because he didn't try to oversell the bike. He was just honest, very prompt in communication, and also very considerate with our schedule.

Since Butchers and Bicycles build their bikes in Copenhagen, where we live, the time between ordering the bike and the time we picked it up was about a week, which for us was great. Cargo bike dealers for other brands gave us between 3 months and a year's wait time to actually receive the bike.

We are very happy with our choice and we 100% recommend at least scheduling a test ride with Butchers and Bicycles.

We started screening the market for the best cargo bike to transport our 1,5 year old little one who gets motion sickness every time she is in the car. We were very desperate as her daycare ride was outside of inner Copenhagen where we live and we tried almost every single cargo bike in Copenhagen, but nothing felt as close in safety, seamlessness to ride and maneuver, or craftsmanship to the Butchers and Bike’s MK1-E!
When we reached the flagship store, we were warmly welcomed by Shane, who listened thoroughly to our needs, understanding exactly what our issues were and what we were looking for. And when he objectively said that was the bike for us, he surely was 100% correct!
Although we took our time considering the purchase, given that it was on the higher end of our budget, Shane gladly answered all of our back and forth questions and concerns, he also gave us in-depth overview on the technical features of the bike and how it will solve our needs.

Needless to say, both my husband and I fell in love in the first minute we took it for a test drive! It is just so enjoyable and fun to ride!

When we placed the order Shane went over and beyond to accommodate to our preferred delivery date. At delivery, he took his time to explain all the features of the bike, we also discussed locks and the best options in the market to secure our beloved new bike. He also followed up with us in the first week to check how our experience was and he always ensured us that he was just a phone call or a text a way if we needed anything!

So thank you Shane for making us do the best decision! We have to say, our butchers and bicycles beloved bike has so far replaced our need for the car, and we look forward to enjoying rides everyday and during the weekends!

Of course, we have a very happy little rider who enjoys her daily commute listening to all her favorite songs and her weekend excursions with worry-free mom and dad!

In pursuit of a new cargo bike for our family I rode bikes from the major brands in Copenhagen. I didn’t know much about the Butchers & Bicycles product beforehand. Once I learned about the bike in-store with Socrates and took the MK1-E for a test drive, I knew it was the bike for us. Because it has such intuitive handling and is so easy to ride and take corners on, I knew it was the bike that I felt most comfortable to transport my daughter in. Prior to my visit and test-drive I wasn’t sure what I was getting for the price, as it was the more expensive option, but knowing that I would feel safe using it for my family totally justified the price for myself and my partner.
It is such a beautiful bike to ride with seamless turning and manoeuvring.
The company itself is also a pleasure to deal with. Socrates provided my quote later in the afternoon of my first visit (exceeding my expectation, and his promise), and the next day I placed my order with Shane, who also had a thorough conversation with me to ensure we had all the right options. In the time between placing the order and receiving the bike I received timely updates from Shane, and he always responded to my questions the same day.
When I received the bike Shane took me through every thing with patience and without rushing me. He followed up to hear how the first day had been, and then the following day was able to solve
a minor issue with the GPS app, and a loose string on the glove box - ensuring that everything was working for me, and making it his priority.
I can happily recommend Butchers & Bicycles to anyone looking for a cargo bike.
We are so happy with our purchase. I have to refrain from yelling out “cool bike” whenever I see another one out and about!

I tried several cargo bikes and the Butchers was by far the smoothest ride. It is super maniable and I feel very safe driving it. The customers service is very helpful and always there to answer my questions.
My 5 years old son also loves it. It really improved our life in the city!

We were looking for a quality e-cargo bike to be a great ride and transport goods, a person or kids easily without too much hassle. We researched extensively and tried out many bikes but eventually chose Butcher & Bicycles MK1-E Vario.

Reason being that the service we have received at this place, the feel, quality and customization of the bike is supreme compared to the other bikes we have found and tried. This being 3 wheeler e-cargo bikes which were our requirement in terms of the type of bike. It really does rides fantastically, and another one might be coming to the family in the future!

Shane and the team made us feel very welcome and at ease with the entire process and, without a doubt, made it an even easier choice, despite all our questions and requirements.

The short story:
I got my bike 10 days ago and everything works fine. The bike is better then I expected. Shane from the shop was very helpfull and makes you feel welcome and special.

The long story:
I was looking for a cargobike for a while now and tried almost every bike on the market, but I just couldn't fall in love with a regular cargo bike. After a while and a lot of youtube videos and reviw reading, I decided to try out a butchers and bicycles.
I wrote a mail if a testride was possible during those Covid times. Shane replied very fast and sheduled a date with me and my dog, so I could make sure that my dog would actually stay in the bike.
The testride was very relaxed and Shane took all the time to explain me the bike and how to finance it.
I instantly felt in love with the bike during my testride. It doesn't feel different from a regular bike, it is light and silent. Through the tilt mechanism it was easy to cruise around.
After the testride I wrote some questions to Shane and he replied again instantly (at a Saturday evening!).
So I decided to purchase the bike, with lights and glovebox and a gps and some other extras. He told me directly that I probably have to wait a bit longer due to Covid, but the bike was ready for pick up quicker than I thought.
At pick up Shane showed and explained me all the features that we didn't had talked about that much before.
I had some trouble installing the GPS app to my phone, I asked Shane and he replied very quick (even though I had worked it out in the meantime).
For the last 10 days it was my butchers and bicycles bike I took to work. It's 16km each way and it feels liek nothing with this bike. The battery lasts long enough and charges quick. To work I usually take the touring mode and bike easily around 26km/h without losing my breath. On the way back, when the streets are more empty I usually take the turbo mode where I reach around 32km/h after a long day at work and with tired legs.
All in all the bike is definetly worth the money. I save time when biking to work, all the parts seem to have a very high quality, it is easy to ride (you don't have to overstretch your shoulders like on other bikes) and it is just so much fun to overtake someone on a racer ;-)
My dog loves the bike as well, he knows it takes him to fun places.
Would definetly buy it again.

Great bike and great people behind it. First thing first, it takes a damn good cargo bike to make it the default choice for all your rides. Since we got our first bike 4.5 years ago I stopped riding my standard bike because why should I ride it, if I can instead ride faster, safer and in style with my B&B? We have used our bike for everything: IKEA trips, bringing cats to the vet, moves, big weekly shopping on top of course of daily school deliveries. The bike just does great in every setting and every weather. It does not rust and overall has been riding perfectly through the years. Unfortunately it got stolen a month ago (as for every other cargo bike make sure you lock also one of the front wheels when you park it) but B&B has been extremely supportive and helped us getting a new bike in record time. Thanks again for what you do and the passion you put in supporting your products!
