From the initial contact with Lauren Wilkinson our claims handler through to completion she was brilliant. The online portal kept me informed every step of the way and I was able to communicate through the messaging system with swift response from Lauren, she took the time to explain each and every process and anything I didn't understand. Even when we encountered unforeseen issue such as asbestos in the floor. Thank you for everything!

Absolutely horrific experience

Absolutely horrific experience. I cant believe they treat people like this, me and my family are bordering on homeless, following a fire it took them 16 weeks to even send out a surveyor, they offered us £10 a day rehousing costs which of course covered absolutely nothing. They made a settlement offer of under £5,000 for our house with fire damage to every single room. I ahdnt even accepted the claim settlemenmt and they were sending debt collection letters for the excess amount, *which isnt even due as we hadnt accepted settlement* - these letters were sent to my property which of coure i am not living in because it is severely damaged and unsafe due to their lack of support and incompetence. I have tried to raise complaints for ombudsman but they refuse to accept complaint or even give me a reference number. I am at a loss and without support of friends and family i would truly be homeless. Despicable company, I cannot believe they are allowed to operate. I am completely helpless and my life is ruined

Avoid at all costs. How do insurance companies trust these cowboys

Unfortunately my insurance policy with admiral was referred to Bvs. From there on it was chaos, I had a leak that meant the kitchen flooded, ruined kitchen damaged electrics.
Bvs attended site, and started taking holes out of undamaged walls and ceilings for an asbestos test - which they confirmed they would fix. Test negative. I went on holiday and bvs were supposed to strip out my kitchen due to damage and when I had returned my damaged kitchen was still In place, but my bathroom had been stripped instead, multiple phone calls with aggressive agents I asked for a SAR which was denied initially(illegal), then when provided was only partial. Emailed and asked to raise a complaint 4 times - all dismisssed, refused to register my complaint so I couldn’t contact ombudsman. I have reported them for breach of GDPR and to the ICO.

End result I needed rewire,new kitchen,new bathroom - they offered me £2,700
The project has cost me almost £16,000

very useful service

BV solutions provided a useful interface with my building insurance company, arguing the case for why I should be covered despite an initial rejection of my claim. The sole reason for not giving 5 stars was the complexity and opaqueness of the process at times.

We had a water ingress issue

Avoid this company, my insurance company passed through this company for the surveyor, the surveyor has given wrong report inspite the issue is covered in there agreement. Our insurance company cleared mentioned that the issue should be covered by the insurance company and it is a water ingress issue.
We had a water ingress issue, where the there claim document says it covers, we have checked with the surveyor and he also works for the insurance company, he clearly mentioned that is should be covered by the insurance company. They have sent there engineer from this BVS company that engineer gave completely wrong survey and they dont know how to check the issue, inorder to avoid providing the claim they gave a wrong report and said they will not cover the claim even it shows in the report it covers. Very bad insurance company they only collect money and dont pay. Don't go with them.

Refused to fix the damage to my bathroom ceiling. Gave nonsense excuses. This after 6 months of them saying they will do the repairs and very slow communications. Endless problems.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

AVOID * AVOID

AVOID * AVOID – Davies BVS or Davies Group Ltd or BV Solutions (no doubt rebranded again by now).

Admiral Home Insurance Claim: 2000863681- Guttering blown off by storm from roof dormer and water leak into loft bedroom. I only claimed for the scaffolding, guttering reinstatement and leak repair; not internal water damage/redecoration.

Impossible to get to dormer roof without scaffolding; so, decided to claim through my insurance. Having not made a claim in 15yrs plus and only having to change insurers last year due to 'maybe' getting a lodger, so I chose Admiral as I'd always assumed them to be reputable. I am now feeling that they process quick; then outsource to 'surveyors' (if Davies BVS / Davies Group Ltd / BV Solutions actually are legitimate ones) who are probably encouraged to find some loophole to avoid paying-out and their fees are probably MORE than the actual sum claimed by clients.

19/04/24: Called Admiral regarding my claim; phone was answered quickly and dealt with swiftly. Great I thought.

23/04/24: Barrage of communication from Davies BVS - 5 x texts; 3 x emails and 3 x phone messages. Guess they’re on a bonus incentive and chasing jobs and after reading the negative online reviews for Davies Group Ltd and BV Solutions; this validates my thoughts.

24/04/24: Surveyor booked. Odd chap who made me feel uncomfortable, by requesting to view the first-floor bedrooms (I queried ‘why’ and declined his request); that had no connection with the attic bedroom where leak had occurred. He then concluded that the leak was caused by dislodged slate roof tiles and agreed the guttering had been blown off by the storm.

Few days later my roofer reinstated the guttering and said the tiles are actually fine; in fact, the roof was in really good condition and the leak was coming from the chimney, which I’ve since received an additional quote for. So, the ‘surveyors’ diagnosis with his 'camera on pole' was in fact incorrect. Was he even a surveyor.?

The initial claim was for £612 and once I'd paid my excess it would have meant Admiral paying £312, which is probably less than the amount Davies BVS / Davies Group Ltd / BV Solutions charged them for visiting my property; taking a few photos and speaking a few notes into his phone.

02/05/24: Email response received from Admiral
"You have told us that you had experience damage to your gutter. We have considered all areas of policy cover and concluded that your claim is not covered on this occasion. Although we appreciate this is not the response you were hoping for, I hope we can explain the reason for this decision.

From the information provided by Davies, their investigations have found the reason for the loss or damage is not as a result of a cause covered under your policy but instead by one of the reasons listed under the 'mechanical breakdown' exclusion, shown on P.34 of your policy booklet"

So basically; anything that gets storm damaged is classed as 'mechanical breakdown’.??

I have no means of any redress; my claim was simply ‘claim closed' and received an email notification, advising me of this. It makes me wonder whether there is any point in having insurance.?

So, if anyone is approached by Davies BVS / Davies Group Ltd / BV Solutions when making an insurance claim; be very wary or go elsewhere and Admiral; I’m disappointed in your instructing such company(s).
