I will never deal with this company again. Cannot be trusted. After 2 purchases, my third order (over $1,000) was not fulfilled for a month and as a result I cancelled the order. The company said it was "undergoing a finance reorganisation" and would take up to 25 business days to reimburse me. Did not happen. They had my funds for over 2 months and every time I contacted them they fobbed me off saying it "will happen" but it never did. Finally I contacted my credit card provider who arranged for me to be reimbursed.

If I could give it less than 1 star I would. I purchased product from them and it took more than a month waiting for it's delivery. In the end I gave up and cancelled the order. That was the 1st February 2018. They wrote back accepting the cancellation and advised me that due to their financial arrangements that it would take up to 25 business days for the refund to reach my account. I am still waiting for the refund of $1391.00 after 52 business days. I keep sending them emails requesting that they send the refund, but they keep fobbing me off. Beware. They are quick to take your order, but will make you bleed before they refund your money. Worst company I have ever dealt with.

I ordered an expensive camera lens on 16/1/18 (Said it was Australian stock), after the due date of arrival had passed i called the company only to be advised that the stock was in Canada and hadn't been sent yet. As i couldn't wait for the lens because i needed it for a holiday, I had asked for the refund on the 7/2/18 and was told that it would be returned within 2 weeks. After the two weeks i called and asked where it was they then stated that it would be received on the 14/3/18 at the absolute latest. What a pity I didn’t read these reviews prior to ordering not one but two video cameras from CameraSky! Like so many others on this forum, I too am waiting for a refund of more than $2,000. I placed my order on March 9 (paying for Express Delivery as well - more fool me) and after no notification from them after 10 days, when I rang I was told my order was ‘being processed’. Five days later and still no sight of the Cameras and when I rang again to enquire on the status of the order, I was told that they could not give me an estimated delivery date. I immediately asked for the order to be cancelled and requested a refund, which alas, like everyone else here, was told it would take between 10-25 businesss days. This totally flys in the face of Fair Trading Laws in Australia but yet they are still allowed to trade. It is now April 4 and still no sight of the money - I guess I’ll just wait for the stock standard response they leave here on this forum saying ‘how sorry they are and could they have my order number etc. etc.’ - You have my order number CameraSky and you have my money and I want it back! As an aside to this and who knows if it is just a coincidence, but last weekend the debit card that I used to make the purchase with was ‘hacked’ and has now had to be cancelled - my bank is now facilitating the refund process, my solicitor has contacted Fair Trading and ASIC and I have a meeting with a television producer next Monday.

My order number is 110071376. My order was placed on 13th Jan and of course paid for. By 30th Jan when after several emails and being on hold for (I loose count), it was obvious my item was not in stock and they had no idea when it would be, so I asked for a refund. After many more emails - several unanswered - and on holds again, I too was told my refund will take 25 business days. So today is 30th March and I still do not have my money back. Con artists. The finance department is based in Hong Kong and we cannot deal with them directly. My advise to all is NEVER, NEVER, NEVER buy from Camerasky.
It's now 4th April and I have had no correspondence from Camerasky and I have no refund.
13th April, I tried to phone Camerasky again today and heard the message "Your call could not be connected, please check the number and try again". I have lodged a complaint with Consumer Affairs but I think we have all lost our money. So annoyed.
I have contacted my Credit Card provider and they are now investigating. They will then refund my money. I suggest you all get onto your providers and also send a formal complaint to the ACCC. We need to get this mob shut down.
Never buy from Camera Sky!
I bought an Olympus E-M5 Mk2 body from Camera Sky because of the competitive price. My order number is 1100047840. The camera was delivered in ten days but after a week the mode dial stopped working. I sent it to their service workshop in Hong Kong. They took so long that, before it was returned, I bought a replacement form a local camera shop. After a month my camera was returned but still not working. I sent it back a second time and eventually it was returned. This time it refused even to power up.
Having lost all faith with Camera Sky's hopeless workshop, I sent my camera to the local authorised Olympus repairer. They charged me A$100 for an evaluation, and advised that the motherboard had been tampered with it would need to be replaced. Also a new image stabilisation unit and shutter was needed. The total repair cost would come to more than the cost of a new body!
Since than I have been trying to get Camera Sky to give me a refund or a replacement. They are masters at stalling. All the relevant information, including the report from the Olympus workshop has been given Their latest request is for a video! What possible use is a video of a non working camera?
Unless they provide me with a refund or replacement, my advice, is to never buy from Camera Sky.

They have held onto $2000 of my money for nearly 2 months after not being able to give a delivery date for the lens I ordered and then claiming their refund policy is 25 business days from cancellation. I still haven't received my refund after the original order 9and the date they took my money) on 25th January!!

Absolutely ridiculous! Do not buy through Camerasky! I ordered a lense on 28th of January and after finally getting in contact after several failed attempts, hours on hold and no response to emails or call back requests, I finally cancelled my order and requested a refund. that was on 05/02/2018 it is now 22/03/2018!!!! and nothing!! impossible to get hold of and they only lie to you when you do speak to them. they will advertise products that they dont have in stock and are unlikely to for several weeks then hold your money hostage indefinately!

Totally unacceptable experience thus far
I purchased an expensive lens (over $2000) on 7th March 2018. The money was deducted from my account almost immediately, which if you read the buying and delivery process on their website is supposed to indicate the product is in stock. I have not received my lens and the only correspondence I've received is to say my order has been processed. I've emailed Camera Sky twice and neither email has been replied to. I rang the company this morning and after a few attempts finally got to speak to someone on the NSW number. She acknowledged the lens has not been posted and that I was entitled to cancel my order and get a refund as Camera Sky had not met their timeframes as stated on their website. I've cancelled my order and I'm told my refund will take anywhere between 10-25 days to be deposited into my account. A ridiculous timeframe, given everything is done electronically. I've let them know if I don't receive my refund within 10 days, I will be taking it further. I'm lucky to have a brother in law who is a solicitor and he's let me know the legal avenues available to me and is willing to pursue this. I've kept all correspondence on live chat and transcripts of telephone conversations and fully intend to pursue this in 10 days time. I'll keep you posted. Not a happy consumer.

I previously rated Camera Sky as very poor and was so concerned about my experience I took my issues further. I can now say that Camera Sky have redeemed themselves through the efforts of one of their managers Don Gilberts who made personal contact with me and undertook to resolve the issues that I had. He did this and so showed himself to be as good as his word. I think Camera Sky still needs to address some systems issues to ensure that they don't completely alienate their customer base however my recent experience with Mr Gilberts does indicate that they are working to get things right

We bought a couple of camera lenses for just over $1000. Waited 5 weeks for the lenses to arrive. Called up and was told there were none in stock and there was a "worldwide shortage" for this product. I was only informed this because I called up. What if I had waited months to call? I'm sure they would have had a good laugh investing my money while I desperately waited for my lenses to arrive. Cancelled the order and requested a refund. Then bought the lenses from another company which arrive in less than a week, so actually there was no "worldwide shortage" - well, no surprises there. Waited the 10 days for a refund, called to complain it had not been received - told because of a management change we actually had to wait 25 days for a refund?? So why weren't we informed this at first? Then after calling many times, waiting in line on the telephone for HOURS to then be HUNG UP ON by the operator - a conversation which I recorded (NB: Record all your conversations - very useful evidence for the lawyers!!), talked to online staff and finally managed to get a refund. What a waste of time and stress.
This company should not be allowed to operate in Australia. What they are doing is illegal. They take your money promising to provide you with an item then say they don't have it in stock. But they are not planning on having it in stock! Then take as long as possible to return your money, if at all.
If they already have your money talk to the online chat staff rather than calling, make a formal complaint with NSW FairTrading and consider getting a lawyer.

Company uncontactable
I placed an order three weeks ago and have had multiple attempts at emailing the company for an update to which there has been no response. I have tried calling all three of their listed phone numbers on several occasions but these do not appear to be working. I believe that this company is a scam, and i am very doubtful that my items will arrive. Other than raising a dispute with my bank i am now not sure what else i can do.

If only I could give 0 stars I would but I have to settle for 1 which this company does not deserve. I ordered a lens three weeks ago and today was the last straw. During that time I had contacted them through emails which they did not answer. My wife had to call their office asking about my order and they gave her an estimated date when my lens was to arrive. Then today I used their live chat and got in contact with someone who couldn't give an estimated date and says that their warehouse can't give estimated dates for some reason and so she didn't know when my lens was going to be delivered (what am I to expect, to wait weeks or months or even YEARS for my lens to come?). So I asked her whether she can give me an estimated date and keep waiting within this week or should I assume that they never had stock for my lens in the first place and that I should just cancel it. And so I was advised to cancel. 25 days for a refund!!! I will be on holiday then and I purchased those lens because I wanted to use it for my holiday. Where will I get $300 for a new lens while I wait to get my refund on this purchase? I regret having to purchase anything from this site without reading the poor reviews. I will not stop hassling until I get my money back. Shame on you for putting your customers through this. PS. Time to update those testimonials on your site, those were back in 2016, how about put all the real testimonials up instead? There are plenty of it here.

Avoid like the plague
I was told i would get my product in 2-5 days. after a month i enquired where my product was and heard nothing until 2 months later when i tried everything to get in contact with the company and they finally told me the product was no longer available and that it would take 3 weeks for them to take it down from their website.
They just want your money. they wont notify you and hope you forget about purchases. most products on their website are not really available they just say 1-2 weeks to get the product in due to high demand.
Do not trust this website. refund process of 25 days. but they will take your money in a heartbeat.
