Terrible service
Terrible service, they thought my order was fraud, after sending them all of the documents they requested to prove that my order is legit, they went ahead and cancelled my order and didn't tell me.
I've sent multiple emails to find out what the status of my order, finally after speaking to their live chat I have learned that this was cancelled.
Don't waste your time and buy from someone else instead.

I have sent multiple emails to the company have waited on hold as "number one in cue" and no body answered! I am at this moment on hold and have been for half an hour. I also tried to contact someone via the live chat on the website and had no response. I then went to their Facebook page and sent a message and I really hope that someone will reply to my message. I ordered my camera at the beginning of Februaru and received a processing email, I have not been able to check the status of my order in my account and was told I would receive updates and still nothing yet! I am very frustrated with this service as the money has left my account and I would greatly appreciate if someone could reply to me, how am I supposed to enquire or get a refund if no one is answering!
I am very unsatisfied with this service and am disappointed as I have ordered equipment through this business before and it was great. I will now be taking my money else where.... If I get it back at all because no one will answer!!

ordered a camera that was meant to be in stock, two weeks later noticed it hadn't been shipped, tried to contact them, waited on hold for ages, no response through the online chat... eventually got hold of them and they told me they didn't have it in stock and would likely be another two weeks.
It was at this point that i read the online reviews and realised what a dodgy company they were, I cancelled my order and was told money would be refunded within 25 business days. That is today and I am again on hold with them trying to get my money back. DO NOT BUY

I have just finished putting in a complaint to NSW Fair Trading re camerasky.com.au. This is the first time in my life I have had to make a formal complaint and I'm 47, so this company is awful! Purchased a phone online on 18/12/17, finally found out on 9/1/18 that they didn't have the phone to sell and they asked us for patience. Stupidly, we agreed to wait, and finally cancelled order on 30/1/18. They acknowledged this and said they could not refund for 25 days and have since not answered any emails or responded to online chat. Do not use this company - offering items for sale that they do not have is against Australian consumer law and their response is unacceptable.

THE WORST POSSIBLE SERVICE IMAGINABLE - DO NOT BUY FROM CAMERASKY I cannot stress how upset and annoyed I am. I put in an order over 3 weeks ago and it still says it is processing. I have tried numerous (at least 7 emails) and have had ZERO response. I have tried Livechat and just waited and waited only to be cut off after 2 hours!!!!
Then the phone... I was on hold for over an hour on at least 2 occasions - premium number costing me around $25 each time and then got hung up on before speaking to anyone. This is criminal. They have my money and I want it back so I can buy the camera for my holiday, but I have no way of doing this. PICK UP YOUR GAME CAMERASKY!

Like everyone else, my experience with Camerasky sucked big time. They never respond to my emails, when i finally got someone on the phone they'll give you some lousy excuse of needing to hear back from the warehouse with regards to delivery. They will promise to reply in 1-2 business days and nothing. You start the process again with some other customer service rep and its the same thing, i'll get back to you in 1-2 business days. I finally asked for a refund and guess what, they said it'll take AT LEAST 25 BUSINESS DAYS!!! How ridiculous that a refund takes this long to process!! I'll never shop with them again for sure. They are shoddy and i don't believe a word they say.

I ordered a camera two weeks ago and for the past week have sent emails and made numerous phone calls to find out what is happening with order. All it says is "Processing". Have been on hold twice now for over an hour and still no one answers the phone before it's cut off. Not a single email has been replied to. I'm now taking it up with the bank to cancel the payment and get it refunded.
Seriously, avoid Camerasky at all costs. They are the worst, and I really wish I had read the other reviews here before ordering from them....
And ignore all the positive reviews that are on this site; clearly these are being done by staff or colleagues of CameraSky.

Good price and quick delivery!
I purchased a 300mm canon lens and the price is very competitive and the delivery is quick although the product was shipped from Hong Kong.
Th only problem is that they used Toll for delivery and no phone call was made prior even if I ma at home i still missed the delivery. I have to drive one hour to Toll collection center in Port Melbourne...

I bought and paid for a lens online with the total cost close to $1000. In October 2017 my order was cancelled subject to CameraSky Finance Department refunding my money. I have rung and end up in an unanswered que. Soothing music and nothing else. The company if it delivers you will one of the lucky ones. I have never in my years of commercial dealing dealt with a company who tells customers unmitigated lies in the full knowledge the customer will give up. They will not even accept emails from their contact us part of their web page.
On a point of principle I will not give up until those responsible for ripping people off are brought to account. I agree with all other comments. Rude, patronising, deceptive. Why does Fair Trading allow this to continue?

ONLINE PARASITES, Camerasky AU Team took more than $800 from me for a nice lens that was offered for a very low price. When it became clear that they did not have the lens I cancelled the order more than once by email to Camerasky Sales ...no reply. Phoned and had to wait on hold for 40 minutes to speak to some evasive jerk that is hired to field calls for various clients who do not want to talk directly to their customers.
After a couple of weeks I got an email notice saying "Your order has been upgraded to Cancelled pending refund". After 10 days or so with no refund in sight I started sending emails asking for my refund. Finally got a email highlighting that it was an "AUTO REPLY". It was not an auto reply. It was a normal "Reply" email to a couple of my previous emails wherein I asked for cancellation of my order and request for refund. It said:
"Thank you for your inquiry.
We have noticed that your ticket has been inactive for 14 days. Please be advised that since we have not received any response, it will be closed automatically.
Thank you very much and have a nice day!"

I have never had any "ticket" from Camerasky AU Team and their email said nothing about my "inquiry" that they were replying to. But it did confirm a lot about Camerasky. They will tell you blatant lies and even taunt you with the fact that they have your honestly earned money (they did say "thank you very much"). Do not let these creeps put their slime on you too.
And don't believe their oh-so-concerned-for-you replies here. What is the point of sending them your order number (for the tenth time) if they do not reply? They just keep your money for as long as they can, and forever if they can wear you down.
They make money with your money. That is what banks do, only banks are regulated in Australia and they pay you interest on your money. Depositors to banks do so voluntarily. Camerasky takes your money by deceit. They make money with your money, no doubt in lucrative inscrutable offshore accounts, and give you nothing in return. It is a scam, unregulated, pirate bankers posing as honest retailers. Their advertised stock comes from Hong Kong and they are not even registered for GST in Australia.
I know you are reading this Camerasky Team. Don't bother posting one of your creepy disingenuous replies. This is my Order Number: it is #1100071328. GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK. Then do post a reply.
By the way, the lens that I ordered and that they could not supply after more that 2 weeks is still advertised on the Camerasky website as being available for sale and dispatch within 3 days.....

Ah yes, the stock "sincerest apologies and system upgrade" lines that unfortunate victims of your scam are all getting and which are intended only to delay and deceive further while Camerasky holds peoples money for as long as possible in their investment accounts. The "issues" you mention that I "have faced" have all been systematically and intentionally created by you and your "sincerest apologies" have no cridibility.
Those alleged "system enhancements" have been going on for months now. It must be of a degree of complexity and difficulty equal to designing the Sydney Opera House. How long could "system enhancements" possibly/believably take?
In the meantime the mythical "payment gateway" has been working to perfection and with great speed, in the inbound direction, that is money from trusting victims into the Camerasky bank account. Does anyone really believe that a "payment gateway" is functioning perfectly in one direction and is not working at all, and is taking months to make functional, in the other direction?
Guess what Camerasky, the real payment gateway is via direct deposit from your bank account into mine. It takes 1 minute to do. It takes less time than it took to make your disingenuous and deceptive reply.
Thanks for forwarding my refund request to your "Account Team", but my first request for refund was made over 5 weeks ago and has already been well messed around with by various other Camerasky persons and "Teams".
Commonwealth bank asked me to cancel my credit card and get a new one because of concern about Camerasky having my credit card details. Camerasky says on their website and to victims that they do not hold credit card details and cannot do refunds back to credit cards and can only do refunds by direct deposit. However, when I told Camerasky that my credit card was cancelled and asked for a direct deposit, the slimy jerk that replied said that Camerasky could only do refunds to the same credit card used for the purchase.!! He/she gave no reason why it was impossible to do a direct deposit for me but said that he/she would refer the issue to the "Finance Team" for their "feedback". After more than a week no "feedback" yet. Surprised?
So far I have had email communications with more than 5 different Teams or individuals and none of them seem to know, or pretend not to know, what the other has told me. For instance the Priority Team has just told me that my refund "will be automatically issued to the same payment account used for the purchase" (which they should know, is a cancelled credit card). and that this will take at least 25 days to happen. The "Accounts Team" has now been brought into the mix and obviously has no knowledge of any prospective "feedback" from the "Finance Team", or messages from the "Priority Team", the Camerasky AU Team or in fact to this Camerasky person/Team".
Isn't it amazing that, with all the various "Teams", officials, personnel, and touted business accounts with major banks and massive systems, they can not make a simple direct deposit that would take only 1 minute to do.
They can however make plenty of confusion, contradiction, delays, diversions, lies and "sincerest apologies" etc. with one aim: to deceive and keep your money for as long as possible, or forever.
The email you, Camerasky, describe above as a "system generated notification" was manually composed and intentionally sent to me. It is among the more slimy Camerasky manoeuvres. You only try to distance yourself from it now because I have made it public.
All of the twisted things that Camerasky says and does are completely exposed by the fact that they will not take just one minute to make the refund by direct deposit.
As to "reaching out" to me "once my refund is processed" by some magical new "payment gateway" that has neither my credit card details nor my bank account details: please do not reach out to me.... the thought of how that might look creeps me out. Just refund my money.
I repeat: a direct deposit takes 1 minute to do and I have offered to supply my bank details to Camerasky..... but Camerask AU Team is waiting for "feedback" from the "Finance Team" to find out if doing a direct deposit is even humanly possible for them .... waiting, waiting .... for a reply/excuse even they must be having trouble coming up with.
With the "payment Gateway" terminally crippled in one direction, despite months of continual work by the System Enhancements Team, it's not looking good for all us poor victims of Camerasky..... and the "sincerest apologies" do not make me or the many other victims feel any better about being systematically parasitised.... Do you feel good about being parasites, Camerasky Team?

I tried to buy a Galaxy S8 through them. A week later having had no confirmation, I emailed twice then phoned having had nor reply (40 minutes on hold- I don't believe hey actually have anyone answering phones). Finally days later got an email response saying that they didn't have the item they sold me. Demanded refund- they took days to respond again and are now suggesting up to 25 business days to refund me!! Have lodged CC refund through bank. Do not buy from them in any circumstances! Wish I'd read the reviews here first :-(

Please stay away from this company. Very bad customer service. Ordered a mobile phone. You need to wait for almost 2 weeks to get a reply for your multiple email inquiries. When requested for refund, they said it may take up to 10 business days for the refund to be processed internally. One month has passed, still no refund. Contacted them via multiple emails. finally after waiting for another 3 days, I got a reply saying "For the past few weeks, CameraSky has been undergoing system enhancements, that resulted to delays in processing refunds.
As we work through the upgrade, we would need to extend the refund timeline to within 25 business days for the payment gateway to complete your request. We won’t be able to confirm the exact date it will be credited to your account, as processing times of financial institutions vary."
I am not sure how much longer I have to wait for something I ordered since two weeks before Christmas.
Please, please stay away from this company.

They have flooded google reviews with automated reviews by Stereotypical sounding Aussie names to make their site seem legit.
Bought a GH5 with a 12-60mm lens for over 2000$AUD
Was of course drawn in by the cheap pricing, can´t believe how gullible I was.
They then claimed that the transaction had to be processed, asking for pictures of my credit card etc. Which of course just seemed to dodgy to be true. I then went on here...which I really wish I had done before not after the purchase, to see a flood of negative reviews.
Tried calling them up, sat trough almost 2 hours of terrible music in the telephone queue only to be hung up once I reached the operator. (Must be an automated system they have set up to deter people from even bothering to call them up)
Emails are just automated nonsense with excuses for this and that.
Any thing to keep their hands on your money.
However I still sent them an email cancelling my order asking for a refund within the 10 days they state in their terms and conditions.
Has anyone else any tips of how to get a hold of these slimy scammers?
UPDATE:
CameraSky gets back to me and says that they are going to refund my order #1100071625
by 662$AUD. I paid 2350$AUD for the camera. Have of course reported them to my bank and are currently waiting for their response.

I chose 1 star only because the choice dosen't go lower. I purchased a lens fully paid for on Dec 6 2017 for over $2000 - Camerasky site said it was in stock. I thought i would have it for christmas. Christmas came and past ... no lens. Multiple calls to them had me wait at times up to 4 hours to reach number one in the queue from number 4 only to be disconnected as the operator picks up...not even a hello. Tried again...same thing. Tried next few days and finally got through with persistence. Its January and im told that the lens would be sent in two days. I wait. I wait ... no lens. I ring, get disconnected. I ring again, and im told so sorry they will get back to me with email and ETA. No Email. I ring...oh. disconnect. I ring, wait 5 hours and get through...told "Im sorry" will look into it. I get an email 6 weeks after purchase and multiple chats with them...sorry dont have it in stock and not sure when they will. Im told i can can wait (for an indefinite time) or ask for a refund. Oh by the way we are setting up our improved system at the moment and it will take 28 days to refund the money....Well F me! I am lost for words. Never again Camerashy i have learnt now from your second disaster with me...i will never buy from you again... A WARNING TO ALL BUYERS...CAMERASCAM...CAMERASKY IS NOT THE PLACE TO SHOP!!!!! BUYER BEWARE!!!

These Guys take shonky to a new level. Paid for camera before Christmas as a present and then nothing from them until I chased them and it appears they never had it in the first place and no idea when it would come into stock. I requested a refund and nothing - I am reporting to the Qld consumer affairs and Mastercard but save yourself the anguish and pay the little extra to get your gear from a reputable company - why Google Shopping ranks them so highly is beyond me and I am looking for ways to report them there as well. Don't say you haven't been warned.
To Camerasky staff, I am putting this here as you don't respond to any of the emails I send and if you always have 8 people in the queue for phone or internet chat, that should mean it's time to hire some more people but then you probably wouldn't pay them!
